  1. 39 days and counting...
  2. Playland (PNE) mid May opening.
  3. Conveyer belt sushi reigned in Tokyo, back then. Awesome. Example of what we found there, in Tokyo and beyond!
  4. ^ Butt of course!
  5. No, I believe this here was Iconic in the 1980s, too... And her birthday would have been tomorrow, so HB-RIP Farrah Fawcett.
  6. ^ Awwwwwwwww. Bacchus would make a great play toy for our cat, Stella.
  7. Looks very....trippy, all the designs. And all indoors too, huh? Wild. Hope it is opening near or on schedule.
  8. BUMPED this, because I just revisited the thread again, and remember how THIS thread alone, made me so "homesick" for Japan. And that was at the time, only after one visit there. Since then, I returned two more times. And another couple of visits are in the works, as TDLR expands itself, more or less. And again for remembering all of this, Bob. Japan food is awesome in all it's franchise and non- forms. A Japanese bowl meal of which I cannot remember what was IN it ~ and BEER! I loved Japanese theme parks. This was at Nagashima Spaland. (2007)
  9. Amazing update Martin, especially that last culture part of your trip! And those hanging cliffside coffins.... Lovely. Very very nice.
  10. Again, great shots in this TR! And I was wondering...did you get a chance to revisit the Muppet Movie? Or you weren't interested, closed for maintenance, etc...? Just curious. I loved that thing.
  11. Coffee r-i-n-gs marking up the desk.
  12. ^ It must be Disney involved, if it's an adaptation of one of their animated films. Usually. EDIT to add: Yes I checked, and it's the same score team for it - Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.
  13. ^ It is and this is where the tram tour ends - in this thing - then out of the building and to the exit spot.
  14. ^ Maybe the Hatbox Ghost will FINALLY be there, and greet them into the cemetery? EDIT to add: And he'll replace the dog and caretaker, (temp for the 60th) with much lower lighting for the 'effect' to happen. And if not there, then to the left of that scene, where the cemetery actually begins. And the doom buggies will swivel to the left for all to see. Or not.
  15. Ooooo so pretty there. And I took a look at the commercial for Winterwald as well. And it was as beautiful, as the snow video! Thanks for sharing this, Marcus!
  16. I found out the musical "Hunchback of Notre Dam" is inching it's way closer to Broadway. Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey is opening the production (previews early March) around mid-March, that played last summer, successfully. And Patrick Page is still playing the Judge. As well as Michael Arden playing Quasimodo. The set looks wonderful, too!
  17. ^ Yes, I would love to get to that one, one of these years! Such an easy idea. We need more of these. (Photo by Joel Styer)
  18. ^ Ours in Playland (PNE) is under 200 ft. And a lovely thing it is, too!
  19. I think the whole thing was a setup.
  20. ^ Maybe March of next year, and WFChris organizes, from weekend to weekend? Just a suggest, Chris. I would definitely be there for that. Especially the revisit to my #600, Medusa!
