Wow. Amazing video. Stunning. And who knew Utah would be so important this year? (I didn't.) -
Adventure City getting new coaster for 2013?
Nrthwnd replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great ongoing coverage, Caesar! I am wondering, though. Just an observation. Are there still plans to put that "garage" up on top where the lift hill and dead-end hill are? Artwork shows it, and I was still curious. -
Frontier City Announces 'Brain Drain'

^ I think that there aren't that many flat rides you can PLUS up, to the size that these new fireballs/coasters are becoming. That said, There is the Double (seat) Enterprise, with more capacity, to point to as well. But changing the description of it... well... It's a risk, whether the gp 'gets it' or not. But then, those who wouldn't ride a FireBall before, will now ride one, with the name change, lol. And the height, etc. And I STILL want a ZIPPER plussed up, so it's really REALLY frightening. Oooooo, maybe turn it into a SQUARE rolling flat! That will UP the intensity I am sure. (o; -

Recent posting about Dunham has made me suddenly realize one of The Best Puppet Acts In the Vegas World (and eventual tv) as Wayland Flowers...... And Madame! They were great, she was an almost X rated thing on tv, and I am sure they made it Real Dirty in night clubs and Vegas. A great act. Would've loved to have see them live.

It seems to me now, that TDLR is starting to upgrade and enhance smaller sections of TDL, so that when the construction walls start going up in Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land, there's "more space" available to the gp, and more dining choices, etc. Very cool. This IS a very classy resort. Random TDS Winter shot. Mmmm fire and ice/snow... {THANK YOU whoever took it!} -

Frontier City Announces 'Brain Drain'

^ Well unfortunately, "some parks" are now doing just that - calling it a coaster. So anybody that builds one of these now, can call it a coaster? I laughed at the wording "Multiple Inversions" in the video. Well yeah, what else do you call going round and round and upside down? I wonder if the traveling midways that have Ring-s of Fire, will change them into "coasters" too? At least the sign, I mean? Meh. It is nice the park is getting a new ride, flat or coaster. Flat? Coaster? Who knows, now? -

Honestly, after Tokyo Disney Sea, THIS is my next fave park in the world! So much to see and do and ride and eat.... overdose of happiness, lol! Great video. I miss Europa. And that soundtrack RAWKS! A great memory of Pegasus in Europa, back in 2010 TPR Tour. -

I'm enjoying the fact that TDLR isn't revealing everything they have in store for TDL and TDS' future. This new announcement is amazing, as I did eat a couple of times at the Lucky Nugget on tours, and to find out it's getting this change is very cool. And the fried chicken was pretty good, too! And I loved DuckTales too! (Along with Animaniacs.) Crude older TDL map w/WesternLand but.. the Lucky Nugget is the little building to the left of that center bathrooms icon, between BTM and the Western River. -
Geez, can I get half of one of those, please? Too much pizza. For us both, lol. Love the quote, "In Bacon We Crust."

^ Hope it's as good as the ones we've been to around here. For myself it's usually the Prime Rib and their nice Caesar Salad that makes me happy. But lately, I have dabbled in other cuts. -

^^ The Lucky Nugget cafe is located near the raft dock, to Tom Sawyer Is. It is one level, and currently serves fried chicken and turkey legs. Turning it into a two story affair might vary up the menu, too. If you didn't go for the raft ride, you could easily pass by this little area, on your way to Big Thunder. It's basically a dead end pathway, with the cafe there. -

This is definitely one of the best presentations I have ever seen on video, of any coaster debuting in a park. And in the tunnel, too. That was great to see. And I want one of those orange 'vests', LOL! -

What Restaurants Do You Eat At?
Nrthwnd replied to RCBoilermaker14's topic in Random, Random, Random
^^Already listed this, but it bears repeating since we returned there, and I now took photos! One of our regular places to go eat, The Keg is a franchise that started here in Vancouver, back in the early 1970s! Always had great steaks, prime rib and seafood, including excellent lobster. Yesterday, we went there, as they had a Winter Grill Special going. And what we ordered was a 30 oz. bone-in Ribeye Steak, along with caesar salad and sides. And drinks. For two! It was - a - ma - zing. And I took a few photos too... http://www.kegsteakhouse.com/en/ We started with water, a pina colada for David, and a Strongbow cider for myself. Then we had the salad first, which was fine, as usual there. And then... IT Arrived! With a twice baked potato for David and a loaded potato for myself; veggies to pick from as well. The steak was all cut for us in generous portions. This is how my plate looked. We ordered the steak 'medium', which still left some pink in it. And eventually...all gone. (o: -
