  1. Random thought: I find the idea of a "Smash Burger" intriguing. But still a wierd concept, all the same. Our local Safeway, is selling the burgers, as round burger balls, to eventually "Smash 'n Cook" I assume. Example of a Smash Burger. Uh huh.
  2. Great trip report, Jimmy! And those souvenir penny holders your boys have ........ serious. I am (ha ha) "im-pressed."
  3. Last Wednesday's Pizza Choice in my Faves List.... This pizza was the first one listed on their Olive Oil Based List (no tomato sauce on it). I definitely enjoyed it, but felt there was so many slivers of tomato on it... well, I still loved it enough to put it on this List. I figured out, I hadn't taken any photo of the side of the restaurant, so ...... here it is! (o: Closer shot. I surmised that the 4X thing... is about quality, perhaps? We will never know. Sent to the corner, as usual. Filetto. And I didn't like the next pizza there, as it tasted too much like some overpriced cheese pizza. Starting on it. and It was good. Remainder for David. As usual.
  4. <sighs> So - much - food. And all that merchandise. Quite the lay out for the Season, heh. Thanks for the TR all about it.
  5. This. Whether you hit the restaurant, or not. These are 2019 prices, by the way. And if you're on your own, these suggestions will probably be good for you. And right next door, is Knott's Bakery, with awesome boysenberry tarts to buy for a great dessert.
  6. There's a 20 Year Reunion coming up, with the cast of the Harry Potter films, etc. To be broadcast on New Year's Day, 2022. With much of the entire cast, apparently. I never read the books, but we really enjoyed the film series, from the first to the last. That said, I wonder if Chris Columbus (Director of first one, I remember) taking it on himself, to suggest that he direct the original cast in a film version of the TONY winning Broadway play (now done in one night) "Harry Potter And The Cursed Child" ...... ? The timing is perfect, age-wise for all of them, lol. Would be cool, even for them, I'd suppose,. Reliving the parts as adults and parents..... for film. Here's hoping.
  7. Maybe they'll name the coaster after a fave Austin BBQ dish, or place like Black's. Just a thought.
  8. Very cool to read about The Bounce. My only time riding one of those, was in 1962, at age 9! It was at the Seattle 1962 World's Fair, and the ride was located right beside a Calypso. It's neat to read about the ride having a longer life span, than expected. Good for Kennywood on that decision. There it is, between Calypso and the Go Kart track.
  9. More Broadway Musical Goodness! The cast of Mrs. Doubtfire did a number from their show during one of the morning tv shows. It's great that they're now NOT shying away from showing what their Mrs. Doubtfire is looking like, thanks to Rob McLure as the divine Mrs. D and a a pretty awesome cast. Here's the link to the performance clip..... https://www.broadway.com/buzz/201588/get-ready-poppets-watch-rob-mcclure-the-cast-of-mrs-doubtfire-perform/
  10. This is insanely awesome! There's this company called the American Dance Machine, and what they do, is re-create classic musical theatre ensemble dance numbers ... like it's keeping for future generations of Broadway Dancers, etc. Very cool idea. Here's the link to the latest they've done.... https://www.broadway.com/buzz/201578/hooray-for-tommy-tune-american-dance-machine-takes-on-the-will-rogers-follies-with-original-stars/
  11. Looks like Regina has become more .... dare I say .... curvy? Heh heh. Good for them to re-consider and re-start again with R. TPR 2011 Japan Tour. She was pretty rough on the body, but IMhO still a great layout and circuit.
  12. Forgot to ask! Were there any new "Fair Food" offerings there, as well as the new rides and coaster creations.....?
  13. ^ It seems to me, that the gp have been going nuts, not having their theme park fix, etc. And once an opening schedule is offered, they buy it, in droves. i.e They go nuts. And of course, the company offering it, can pare down what it's offering, to "just the basics." Sad, but true. Eventually, the companies may have to pony up more perks as a lot of the theme park world, goes 'normal' (whatever that will be). And Knott's thankfully decided to choose the other route. That being, offer a lot of stuff, decorations, events, entertainment, etc.
  14. ^ I've actually had that happen to me, in a way. I would notice certain people in the park crowd (a single person, a couple, or a family, etc.) .... then constantly see them/run into them, wherever I was in the park! And some times, even seeing them in the same queue I was in! Freeky. Awesome TR Andy, especially those night shots!
  15. Roadrunner The Modern Lovers
  16. Thanks for all this great coverage, Robb! So much appreciated, as I am (gulp) "one of those" who doesn't do any social sites. This is great and there appears to be a lot happening for 2021's seasons of all the world's parks. Now, I need a BIG lottery win, lol!
  17. FYI - the Paratrooper used to be built and actually run that way .... already up and tilted. We had one of those during our earlier PNE Fairs, and the load/unload was just that. One at a time, then run a full cycle. Same as a ferris wheel is run, really. Then, somebody finally figured out how to load/unload it un-tilted. Just like an Enterprise.
  18. ^ If we ever get over there, I wasn't sure whether I'd skip that coaster, or not. But ..... At my age, I have become a passionate whore for "some" coaster credits. Go figure.
  19. In the top left corner of the first art concept above, you can see coaster track, sort of. So, that makes me think that Gadget's Go-Coaster will survive the renovation of ToonTown. Only it may be re-themed to a different Disney character, like one of the Mickey Mouse gang. Hmm. Maybe this will become a "Chip & Dale" themed coaster! How about that, Elissa?
  20. Some GP are going to think that the coaster's name is a mis-print. On first seeing it. I immediately thought that, on first seeing the name of it. "Not Air Force?" I said to myself. Well, whatever it's named.... and kudos to the park for naming it after someone they appreciated..... Hope it's a success for the park.
  21. ^ Now, that's the way I like my queues! And thanks for the Xcelerator shots, too.
  22. Last Wednesday, I started my Fave List of Via Tevere's Pizzas, starting with the prosciutto and mushroom one. Red sauce base. Still awesomely good! https://viateverepizzeria.com/ But first, before I left the house, this guy was setting up video shots with the old Bakery Sign as background. I need to remind myself to take a shot of that. Haven't posted one here, that I remember. It turned out he was taping his Roomba (?) Lesson to post on his 'site' I supposed. Nightfall coming faster these days. The clouds darken, and start to converge. A reminder of what I was getting. Gotta love that "prosciutto e funghi!" With the front patio removed off the street, it's still wierd to see a car actually parked in front of the place. It's here! Along with a can (and eventually two) of my lager of choice. Mill Stream Organic. And it did turn dark as I was leaving the restaurant. Signs of winter time, coming soon.
  23. Damn, it's getting dark pretty early, now. Full darkness, just before 5pm, here where we are. My 4pm pizza meal on Wednesdays will look decidedly different from my inside table viewpoint.
  24. Gold Rush / ゴールドラッシュ Kijima Kogen (Beppu, Ōita, Japan) It was my #200 Coaster! And a wierd running coaster at that. On the 2007 TPR Japan Tour.
