I baked a new loaf of bread today. Woo hoo. But I didn't go to Playland cause I was having aches and pains so much; they haven't gone away, which is really pissing me off... It's all in my body "below the waist"... and the aches and pains just do not seem to GO AWAY. Pissing me off, and putting me off about usual stuff, like shopping on The Drive, and such, Pisses me off, still. I think it will go away, eventually. But for now FUCK IT ALL! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am done. Rant over. I can only FREEK OUT for so long, right? Fini.

^ It was! We enjoyed the rest of our Olive-Rosemary loaf after the picnic, and Clark emailed me that him and his partner really REALLY enjoyed the Cheese-Jalapeno loaf we gave him. Here's the pic of me and David with a friend and the O-R loaf, pretty much devoured by all. Myself, Trevor and David in the shot, with The Loaf in my hands. Thanks Clark, for taking all the great photos of us all!

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Coaster(PNE). In my mind. -
Here's a pic of myself, Trevor and David at a nice park-side picnic a friend organized. Clark also took the photos so ... thanks! June 19, 2021. Me holding my homemade/baked Olive-Rosemary loaf (which everybody loved!), Trevor behind us, and my David.

Been feeling crappy, with all sorts of "pains" in my body, mostly below the waist. Left leg, right of my back. across the tail bone 'line'.....
Have put off re-visiting Playland, till I feel much better about going....
... And of course it would be absolute awesome if COASTER was running too ........ ???? ........ HINT TO PNE .......

Disneyland Paris (DLP) Discussion Thread

Yeah, I know. Anything and everything that used to be 'free,' is eventually turning into a "pay for" thing. It happens. I am hoping that we will be able to deal with a Fall 2022 visit, still without the use of a cell phone. Or ...... we may actually rent one, to be able to use Internationally, get the Apps all in, figured out, and used, etc. etc. -

^ Hmmm. Maybe, eventually, they'll ditch this, and go back to FastPasses again, when/if we're there next year in the fall. -
I couldn't resist getting this book, since we've repeatedly always tried to figure out "what burger" they had on the board, each episode! Usually hilarious puns, or 'themed' burgers. Always fun to figure out. And this will help me reproduce a few of those burgers in question. I got my copy through Amazon.com (.ca for us 'Way Up North').

Our HEAT DOME finally moved on, yesterday. What was in the mid-late 30's C for us (usually mid-90's F) is now back down to a more respectable 25-28'C. Also a nice breeze is running through the city, so that helps everything cool down. Now the DOME is over the Prairie provinces, and then onto Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces. Good luck to them. So glad we got through it, first.

^ Thanks for this. I just got 2 emails from them about all that you've posted from the news release. Lots more info. can be had from the site itself ...... www.pne.ca No "Season Pass" for the Fair available, But as an Elder it's only $12 a visit. Hmmmm. EDIT TO ADD: Playland is now open 11-5pm on Friday thru Sunday AND 6-11pm on Friday and Saturday nights! Another night shot, of AtmosFEAR, from the PNE. -

^ Nope. I didn't know there was this GI-normous article written up! Thanks for finding it and posting the link for all to get to! <sighs> At this time in my life ... I really doubt this is ever going to come to fruition in my life time. It's just sad truth. But for now, we still got Coaster! -

^ Yes it is. Wish I had taken it, or something like it, a couple of weekends ago. But I arrived for the Friday Evening (18th)... just after 7pm. And it never really got dark till after 9:30. Which of course, is when i was leaving, just before that. Then, I found out that busses stop running past Playland after ..... 7pm <Grrrrr> Took me nearly two hours to get home, instead of the usual under a half-hour, if the busses were running. Crap. So I waited till Sunday (Dad's Day / 20th) and took in a few hours there. But still, with Coaster, Hell's Gate, Scrambler AND Hellevator not running at all ..... hmmph. It was an easy run through the place, with nothing special to photograph. And now, this past weekend. We are in the 'entrails' of what's being called a HEAT DOME. These past three days have seen sunny, clear and (for us) monumental temp.... like mid/hi-90's F? With added humidity to up that icky sweaty feeling. So there was no way in heck I was going back to the park. We're near the end of this ultra heat wave, but now it's heading East across the entire country. So in hindsight ... glad we got hit first, lol. So I got me another free ticket, for this coming Friday (6-11pm). But not arriving there until after 8:30 etc. And I have a ride to get home, too. And Sunday, I'll go for the late morning opening, as afternoons there are still kind HOT with bad asphalt pavement and all to walk on. Thought I would repost this, found at Customer Services, as Pride Month comes to an end. -

I love it, too! And I especially liked that coaster section that went outside, then back into the building. Great theming for a coaster everybody can ride. -
It looks exactly the right size to fit into Playland(PNE) for their new coaster! And the whole framework and track would "frame" the mountains in the distance. Eventually. Just saying. And still hoping for anything to be built. And it would go ..... right over there! Where dear old crappy Corkscrew used to sit (RIP).

^ I would love to have a t-shirt with the Korean version of "Beetlejuice" on it, like above there.

Playland/PNE (Vancouver) Discussion Thread

For now .... My first Friday night at Playland (18th), was 'okay'. Nothing special. Several rides, including Coaster, were still down. And the damned (true) nightfall didn't happen until I was leaving the place! I stuck around for a couple of hours and took pix. No more, no less. Next time, I shall go a bit later to the park. And photograph, accordingly. Here's one pic (from PNE) for tonight. More (of mine of "that night") to follow.... Ooooooooooo. -
I had a nice day, earlier. A friend had organized a picnic get together, for several queers, us included. Went off great, and I took (2) new loaves of bread to share with others. It was a nice afternoon. This was "one of those loaves...." Cheddar and jalapeno, mmmmmmm.
-
In the last two days, I made two loaves to take to a picnic, a friend had organized down in Stanley Park. Both turned out good, although I think I need to consider putting a 'slash' in the top of the cheese loaf before it goes into the oven. The cheese-jalapeno loaf seems to 'bleed cheese' again. No big deal. I gave it to our host for the picnic, so I hope they enjoy it. The Olive Rosemary loaf . I named it 'O'mmmmm. The cheese jalapeno loaf. Ooozing cheddar cheese, but what the heck, eh? Haven't 'named it', yet.

Just discovered this book, among a lot of other ones, at Amazon.com Looks promising, especially if you make a lot of burgers, heh. So - much - beef - cheese - onions - beef - cheese ..... beef.

^ Last summer, when Playland was open here and there through the months, I found that wearing a well fitting mask was no problem. Speed presses it against your face, so that's not a big deal. As long as it fits well around your nose and chin, then you should be fine. I have no idea what inversion coasters do to masks .... anyone out there to advise on those and any other bigger coasters? And by the way .... yes, there will be masking falling off, because don't have them on properly, and/or don't leave them alone. Mine held on! Taken Sept.07, 2020. Looks wierd, but it still works okay.
