  1. What a bunch of a-holes. Honestly. Wear a mask, save yourself and probably somebody else's life. And oh yeah. Get a vaccine shot. It'll be worth it. But if you're still going to argue and scream about "Freedom, Rights of the Individual" blah blah blah. Fine, get sick. And don't forget to blame The Government, because "you didn't know", blah blah.... Morons.
  2. (after the video) Oh my. Wow. I mean. Oh. My. Damn. It's. I mean. Wow.....
  3. ^ And you even got to be a part of it, Mattias! Very nice video. Coming out of the ground, was a nice touch.
  4. And myself beat, by over 3300 miles. Way to go, Elissa!
  5. Of the three, I do like the Tokyo version the best. But honestly, even though I voted, there's not reeeeally a "worst one" of the three.
  6. When Haiku is good I feel very "Japanese" And want some sake' ^ So don't drink it, then. And puh-lease. Every kids' fave candy and theme park snack has been (eventually) turned into something "adult," IMhO.
  7. OMG I am desperate here! No where to put this but..... heeeeyy Phil, hows it going? Starbucks.ca is announcing a new flavour in their frapps...... And it's <drool> Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino! Is this Theme Park Phood, or what? (o: Thanks Phil!
  8. And in CDN $ too, which should make it a real deal for American buyers. (Unless it's not really a real deal for anybody.)
  9. ^ I think it should be called KIE-ku. Boats on the water is a nice touch.
  10. ....Because they do!
  11. ....and they just announced that the PNE Prize Home Lottery is still going to happen! Online tickets on sale now. The Home Must Go On! https://pneprizehome.ca/ 3 Lottery Eligibility Rules: I am 19 years of age or older. I am in the Province of British Columbia when placing this order. I have read and agree to the Rules of Play.
  12. ^That photo/sign is just itching for some memes.
  13. It appears that the distances between where I live, and "anywhere in China/Hong Kong" are my longest distances. So.... Grizzly Gulch Runaway Mine Train - Hong Kong Disneyland 10255.83 km ~ 6372.68 miles I loved it! TPR 2012 China~Hong Kong Tour.
  14. ^ Thanks! I think.
  15. Actually, before she brought the pizza out, she asked me if I wanted it cut, or to "cut it myself?" I decided to cut it myself, expecting a "pizza cutter wheel" ..... and I got the scissors. And it worked great!
  16. Bump, OLE' ! Wow! Talk about an update! This is how I celebrated Cinco de Mayo today. By eating at our local Pizzeria, LOL! Which is right across the street, from where we live. I hadn't been there since it first opened ..... 9 years ago??? Pizza was great, hot and perfectly gooey. The lager tap beer was fine, too. I might come back again, heh. https://viateverepizzeria.com/ As per Covid Rules, Vancouver is going crazy with outdoor, patio seating. No indoors at this time. View from my table. That's our house, first one you can see there. With the rainbow flag on top. Le Menu. I went with their signature pizza ..... the Margherita. And a beer. How things looked before The Arrival of ...... The Margherita. Looks marvelous. And ..... "The first cut is the deepest." (o; Almost gone. And I did indeed, eat it all up! Oink Ole'! How I really wanted my beer to be, mixed, "The Mexico Way"! At a park, during the TPR Mexico Tour, 2013.
  17. They just announced that the PNE would not be happening this year (second year in a row) due to Covid-19. There's several articles about this, and now The PNE is asking the city for (minimum) $8 Million to get it through these times. If they don't get it, or a similar amount .... who knows what will happen? They produced a modified drive-thru "PNE Event" last summer with everybody in cars, seeing acts (like the Dog Show) from a parked distance. No word on whether they're going to repeat that, this summer. Here's a link to all of the posted articles : https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=vancouver%2C+pne%2C+news So ..... anybody got $8 Mill lying around, somewhere? P.S. This probably also postpones the planned expansion of Playland ... or cancels it altogether. I'm hoping it's only postponed. "A vendor serves mini doughnuts to a driver at a drive-thru event with mini doughnut vendors at the Pacific National Exhibition grounds, in Vancouver, on Sunday, May 24, 2020. The PNE organized the event to help support vendors who will be unable to sell at the fair due to the cancellation of the annual event because of COVID-19." From the article at THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck
  18. A cat and a box . . . what more is there to say?
  19. New and available at McDonald's in Singapore... I love them calling these the Ha! Chicken Drumlets, lol. The Pizza McShaker Fries look interesting, too.
  20. Olympia Dukakis. She won the Oscar for playing Cher's mom in "Moonstruck," and was in numerous plays and movies, including "Steel Magnolias," and "Mr.Holland's Opus." And she was the original Anna Madrigal in Armisted Maupin's Tales of the City, the transgender landlady of where all the main characters lived in San Francisco. Wonderful actress, with a killer sense of humor and great laugh. RIP Olympia. https://www.broadway.com/buzz/198857/olympia-dukakis-distinctive-actress-remembered-for-political-social-activism-on-stage-and-screen-dies-at-89/ Olympia as Anna Madrigal, in "Tales of the City."
  21. ^ Chris looks like he's in pain, LOL. And about to swallow a bug.
  22. ^^ Damn, that's a lot of planning! I hope it all works out for you. For myself, I'm just hoping Playland(PNE) will open this season, eventually!
  23. There's a cast recording coming out, of a musical I saw nearly ten years ago locally .... Ride The Cyclone. SPOILER ALERT A macabre little tale about a high school chamber choir ....... who ride a roller coaster ..... and die on it. In the afterlife, they are offered one spot to "come back from the dead". And the one offering this chance, is The Amazing Karnack in his little contained fortune telling booth. It's got some great songs in it. and the cast I saw in Vancouver, were amazing! The show had played all across Canada (twice!), and then eventually made it to Off-Broadway in New York. I was always hoping there would be a cast album of it, and Ghostlight Records is offering it, but only digital at this time. So, I wait and (REALLY) hope that a CD of this, comes out as well. Here's the link to Ghostlight's listing of it: https://www.ghostlightrecords.com/ridethecyclone.html My program of the musical, in Vancouver.
  24. So the actual Opening Day (so far) of the season is Saturday, May 29th. And Sunday the 30th. 11am-5pm both days. After that, they are listing Friday evening time periods (6-11pm) in June. And the Saturday/Sunday times,11am-5pm. https://www.pne.ca/playland/?_ga=2.216936468.323253197.1619800918-1760156731.1613846733 The dates, could still change of course. Hopefully they can stick to this schedule, as well as through the summer. EDIT to add: 2020 Season Passes are being extended into 2021. But no 2021 Season Passes are being sold at all.
