  1. Great re-visit, Bert! And although I have been "pushing" for an El Loco to come to Playland, the Wonder Woman single rail coaster would be an a-may-zing alternative, LOL! Or maybe...both! Thanks for sharing the visit.
  2. An amazing trans-Atlantic cruise, to be sure! And the Maritime Provinces are a whole section of Canada I have, sadly, yet to visit. Glad you enjoyed your adventures there, ashore. And Moosehead! How could you go wrong with that? Thanks for sharing (nearly) all of your trip.
  3. Uh....Spoiler Alert? We both loved the special on filming the final season, last night. Kit's shocked look on what happens to Dany, near the end of the first read-through (he didn't read too many scripts ahead of time, apparently), is amazing! As well, the cheers for who kills the Night King is wonderful, lol.
  4. I remember it was a pretty easy coaster(s) to ride, back in 2007. Even the standup was fairly smooth, to me. Since it was September when we were there, and an oncoming typhoon was going to challenge Elissa's train schedule skills another day (and she was SUCCESSFUL!), it wasn't very busy in the stations for this one, at that time. Great video, Robb.
  5. ^ Who am I to judge? I had a burger with fried crickets on it, a couple of years ago.... PNE 2017. (o;
  6. Orkanen Fårup Sommerland (Blokhus, Nordjylland, Denmark) In the station. TPR 2014 Scandi Tour.
  7. Sunday, Sunday... Yesterday was wet, but today was sunny with some clouds here and there. The park was busy, I got only two rides on Coaster, but that was enough. Also indulged myself in a capsule machine....thing. And $1 refill of popcorn, of course. Here's the few photos I took today... And by the way, Happy Memorial Day Weekend, USA! USA! In queue for Coaster. Revelation getting some work done, on it. Double Whee-Whee! At least four flat rides down today, including you-know-what. Looks like some seats are needing fixing on AtmosFEAR. Yeah, well... Heading out, I got this shot. Have no idea why it was there, but took a photo anyway. My capsule machine.... TOILET PUTTY! Awesome! (o:
  8. Actual Working "Barrel of Fun" = Lawsuits, waiting to happen. Maybe there's a pathway built thru it, like some of those do. Our Haunted Mansion in Playland SPOILER ALERT has a turning tunnel with en elevated pathway thru it. Looking forward to the photos you took, Bert!
  9. Baby Baby ~ Amy Grant
  10. Just realized how much I am missing George Michael. His "Father Figure" is on the radio, and I am suddenly remembering when and where I bought that wonderful CD. In San Francisco, the year it was released. Oct.1987. The name of the CD, was FAITH. I bought it at the (then) Big CD Store on Market St, up near Castro St. Great fond young gay musical memory.
  11. We're seeing Aladdin on Thursday, in IMAX and 3D, so I expect to be OD'd in colours, effects, and such. And a big BIG Genie. lol! Followed by a nice late afternoon meal, at the Old Spaghetti Factory, across the street!
  12. I am so looking forward to visiting Knott's again, in September. And Disney. And the wonderful Knott's Hotel. And Mrs.Knott's Chicken! My last shot, inside the park. Sept.11, 2016. I call it, "Buh Bye!"
  13. No worries. Listen, I respond to something, and then I usually find out that I already responded, several pages back in the thread. My memory is getting more stupid, every year. Old age. Go figure. https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76833 EDIT: By the way, the new little coaster looks great, I'm sure the klids will enjoy it. As for that mini-golf course, Geez I wish we had something like that at Playland, instead of the bland-blah-bleah course they have, now. Playland's Adventure Golf ~ Needs more trees. And water. And...everything else. Photo from PNE.
  14. Took awhile, but BUMP! Now shouldn't "New credit almost ready at Fun Spot Atlanta" be in this thread? Just asking.
  15. Believe it or not, Marineland finally removed the Topple Tower during this past off season! When asked about it, the park said that there are plans to fill in that space. I think the one at Djurs Sommerland in Denmark still exists. Yes? No, anybody? Nice surroundings. Painfully slow tilt and turns. I still liked it.
  16. ^ Understood. I was just commenting on the Concerts, separately from this year's PNE Exhibits. Speaking of which... first of all I don't own a cell phone of any kind , so the Snap Happy exhibit (A Do-It-Your-Selfie Experience!) could be a useless visit for me. Unless they lend you phones, LOL! Wouldn't that be crazy if they did? Probably not, but you never know with the PNE... And Game Changers (Evolution of Video Games) I can take or leave. The only screen games I usually play, are card games, and most of the time, Hearts. But it could be an interesting exhibit to check out, all the same. And I did enjoy my Q-Bert, back then. Never say never, when checking any of these PNE exhibits out, I believe. Like 2017's Hockey Exhibit. Not for me, but I was still interested in how they presented the exhibit, etc. And it was fine to walk through and photograph. No Hockey-Gasms though. And they're bringing the Dinosaurs back to "roaring life." Fine. And the perennial Superdogs show. And a Big Magic Show, too. And the food, don't forget The PNE Food! And my upcoming (now) annual "Corn Dog Challenge", too! (EEP - Just bought my online PNE Fair Pass: two weeks of awful food, corny entertainment...and manure. I love it!) P>S> I'm also 66 years old, so most of my RANT is crap, anyway. And "The Love of Drag" Show should be an interesting addition, to what's now called the REVEL DISTRICT, (look the R word up) formerly Celebration Plaza.
  17. ^ Yeah, I must admit. When I first looked at this lineup, no one act really caught my eye. The only act I was a bit interested in, was Colin James. And although I am not really a big fan of his... on the radio, I love his blues music, besides the pop songs. But - I would rather see and hear him in a much smaller setting than the Concert Nights. I've seen Huey Lewis & The News, and Boy George in the past few years, but that's with loud huge crowds (see below), including some who have been drinking a weeeeee bit too much, heh. So - I'm taking a pass on this year's line up, and enjoy the music, what nights I'm there at the PNE, from outside of the concert area. Photo provided by PNE.
  18. Loopen TusenFryd (Oppegård, Akershus, Norway) Train not 'loopen.' (o; TPR 2014 Scandi Tour.
  19. ^^ That's wonderful news! Rusutsu is a great looking resort/park, beautiful location, and with it's own "Mt.Fuji," too! Wonder where they'll put it? Rusutsu Park. TPR 2013 Japan Tour. The "Not Mt.Fuji" at Rusutsu Resort & Park.
  20. Happy Birthday, Gladys Knight! Actually, it's on May 28th, but...whatever.
  21. ^ That's a really great deal, the Platinum Pass is. Only $218 Cdn and that's roughly = $160+ U.S. And that includes admission to other CF parks, too. Great deal IMhO.
  22. Great update article to post, Larry! Although this part in the middle of the article was a bit....um.....iffy? "[More News] During fight over drugs, father smothered baby, police allege in charges against Monroe County couple »"
  23. And now they're starting to make additional live action films, following their original live version (hello Maleficent?). Now I hear there's another version of "101 Dalmatians" coming, in the near future. But.... didn't they do it with Glenn Close already? P.S. Think what they do, with today's tech and such...for their original "Alice In Wonderland?"
