  1. ^ Really?! Wow, maybe I just didn't really pay attention until recently, haha. I had a feeling that they've been doing it for awhile now, but I wasn't sure.
  2. Yeah, I'd totally be disappointed if I was a first-time visitor. Hopefully all this work will pay off in the end, because it would be really disappointing if it doesn't. I'm actually really glad that Disneyland started doing the "2fer for Southern California Residents" thing because I would definitely not pay a full ticket price for California Adventure at its current state. I wonder, did they start doing this whole 2fer deal to maintain park attendance during all the construction that is going on?
  3. I'd say 'Lil Wayne's "music" is a pretty big tragedy, haha. Seriously though, I think the Hollywood tragedy that hit me the hardest was Heath Ledger's death. As over-publicized as I think it was, he was such an amazing actor, and I'm not just saying this based on his performance in The Dark Knight. He got completely immersed in every one of his roles.
  4. Deal! In fact I'll throw in a free pen to all orders that go out this week! --Robb Does this include hoodies, too?
  5. Yes I agree. Twitter is my anti-drug. Actually scratch that. Twitter is my drug. Hahahaha. http://twitter.com/ahhstinblake The link to my Facebook and Myspace are in my signature, feel free to add them. Just let me know you're from TPR.
  6. The drop on X2 is the best drop I've been on. Looking straight at the ground, then instantly flipping onto your back at the bottom is such a rush. It's especially good in the back seats. Another personal favorite is the drop on SFMM's goliath. Looking down at the small tunnel, I'm always too chicken to keep my hands up once we reach the bottom of the drop. Plus, just slowly creeping over the top before the train drops is amazing.
  7. Well, I've only seen a few of the Woodland's shows. I forget what year it was, but their show "Hide and Seek" and "Numbers" were what really impressed me. This year's show was pretty 'blah' though. Your drumline is awesome! The show was really entertaining. Congrats on the first place!
  8. I'm so getting this DVD. The intro alone is awesome. Great video, I loved the editing. Japan looks so amazing, I can't wait to go one day! I also can't wait to go on a TPR trip like this. It looks like so much fun. Someday!
  9. I've been listening to a lot of ska and 3Oh!3 lately. Streetlight Manifesto is definitely my favorite ska band, with The Aquabats closely following as a 2nd favorite, just because of the quirkiness of all their music, hahaha. One of the high schools closest to the high school I go to has started a pretty kick-butt ska band, called Skamikaze! Check 'em out: www.myspace.com/skamikazehc 3Oh!3's music is just awesome. Sick beats. I just can't stop listening to their stuff.
  10. I was going to type what irritated me about school, but you pretty much summed it up. That's the dilemma I'm stuck in at the moment. It sucks. Especially when most of your classes give you huge assignments at the same time. I wouldn't doubt it if my teachers coordinate to give their assignments our at the same time just to torture me. Hahahahaha. I hear you on that one XII. Spring Break needs to come faster!
  11. ^^ Nah, werewolves just have that certain "cool-factor" to them. I guess Edward Cullen is a tad bit overrated, I suppose. I'm all for rooting for the underdog. Team Jacob Black!
  12. ^ Yeah I know that, lol. I was just stating that werewolves>vamps. I'm actually really tempted to read them to see what the hype's all about. It's on my to-do list. That's for sure.
  13. No love for the sax guys?! I wish our winterline was competing this year. Due to school district budgets, they cut all "field trips" for the rest of the year, which includes tournaments. It's a shame because the theme to our show and the group itself had potential to be amazing. To make up for it though, we're doing this big drumline concert at our school, including a "Blast!" type thing. It's going to be sweet. If you don't know what that is, it's along the lines of this:
  14. I've never read any of the books, but I saw the movie and I'll say, I was kind of impressed. There was more story to it than I thought there was going to be, and I really enjoyed how the movie was filmed. The special effects weren't anything special, but that was something minor. I do think that Twilight is really over-hyped, though. It's an interesting spin on a typical teen love story, but other than that it's pretty simple. It's good, but not that good. I guess the same could be said for anything, though. But that's just my opinion. And I agree, Werewolves own.
  15. Ask anyone that knows me personally, and they'll tell you I'm a huge In-N-Out fanatic. They make my burgers just how I like it. Their 'animal-style fries' are always a must when I go. Sometimes I'll go on the In-N-Out diet and eat it every day of the week. Thank god for my ridiculously good metabolism! Chick-Fil-A and Jack in the Box are close runners up, though. Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries are to die for and nothing (except an In-N-Out burger) beats Jack in the Box's 2 tacos for $1 deal.
  16. Hahaha well, that's marching band for you...
  17. I enjoy intense and fast coasters that are very re-rideable. Some examples would be California Screamin' and Xcelerator. Both are pretty intense with airtime/speed, but are not the most intense rides. I like fun rides that provide quite a bit of thrill, also. My favorite types of coasters are definitely floorless and launched coasters. Wood coasters aren't really my thing, but that's probably because I haven't really ridden a really good woodie yet. I'm a sucker for lots of airtime.
  18. Omg, same here. It's so good! I usually get it with just the whip and without the pineapple juice. Too bad whenever I eat it, it ends up all over my hands. Hahaha, maybe I'm just a messy eater. As I stated in another thread, Pizza Port at Disneyland Anaheim and Mrs. Knott's Chicken Diner are my two favorites. The Chicken Fusili pasta at Pizza Port is by far my favorite pasta like... ever. If I had a lifetime supply of that stuff, it's all I'd be eating, hahaha. I've only Mrs. Knott's Chicken Diner for the first time just recently out of all the other times I've visited Knott's in the past. It's for sure become a must while at the park, the chicken is so good! I've never had such perfect chicken! Usually there's either there's too much fat or there's not enough meat, and Mrs. Knott's gets fried chicken just right.
  19. ^LOL, I had no idea that the "beach theming" was actual theming. I really thought it was construction... or at least being worked on. But I mean more maintenance things. The stuff being worked on that was on the ceiling and other junk in the Buzz Lightyear queue... you'd think would be covered up, or at least be done after hours. Maybe it's just the times I've visited, but I've never seen things like that so out in the open for everyone to see at a Disney park.
  20. Everything looks amazing, nice work! One thing I would suggest is to play around with different colors on the brown/black buildings. Brown and black are a nice base color, but a little variation would be nice. As a suggestion, use multiple shades of brown on some buildings, or even mix in some brighter colored plants. The colors you have now just make everything look a little 'dead'. I've never seen a frisbee done like that before, I like it a lot! Overall you're doing a great job! Can't wait for more updates!
  21. I agree with you. The Chicken Fusili pasta, whatever it's called... I could eat that for the rest of my life. However when I went to the park the other day they seemed to be serving in smaller portions. Maybe I just went at an 'off' time. But I think my favorite theme park food, while not really IN the park itself, is Mrs. Knott's Chicken Diner. I don't think I've ever had better fried chicken ever. They give you so much food, too.
  22. Wow, that launch looks intense! The train just zooms through the layout! Looks like quite a bit of airtime is to be had going over the tophat. I haven't really been following this coaster much but after watching this video, I'm impressed.
