Poll: Favorite Inversion?
FitchCoaster replied to timetrial3141592's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love cobra rolls. They are so disorienting and they feel like they never end! I think my second favorite would have to be Zero-G rolls. -

They are people that have special kneepads and gloves, and they basically throw themselves on the ground and "slide" towards the people they are scaring. Not the best explanation, I'm sure someone could explain it better, haha. Here's a good video of sliders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WRAFa_lN0k Great pictures, by the way. I can't wait 'till I go! 6 days!! -

Man, this is like a tragedy. Haha The way you ended it was ingenious though, I have to hand you that. So sad to see such a great park end. We can only expect bigger and better things from you, though. -

I love the park! It has such a natural feel to it. The atmosphere is really nice and seems like it would be a really calming place to visit. Can't wait for the next update! -

Welcome to Calypso Bay Theme Park and Resort! "Venture into a world of luxury and celebrate the grandeur of the sea... only at Calypso Bay." UPDATE 3 - Construction Update 3 Welcome back to my updates of the park. The construction crew got the main entrance and the tram station done earlier on this week, which really excited me, because it means that we're going to get into the more exciting things after this - construction within the park. As much as I'm excited for all the rides to be constructed, I was still very excited to see the entrance finished. They truly did a swell job with everything. My favorite structure is the tram station. The glass roofs make the building look so grand. Well anyways, enough talk. Let's get to the update! Beautiful, 'aint it? The change from the last update to this update of the tram station is amazing. Don't you think so? To the left side of the tram station are lockers and restrooms. These buildings were very well done, as well, great job construction crew! Just another view of the lockers and restrooms. On the opposite side is the Calypso Giant Store. It's a HUGE store that is eventually going to sell roller coaster-themed items and whatnot. The sun was shining bright today. I loved it! The inside of the tram station has changed a lot, too. Pictures just don't do it justice.. it's really nice. The actual tram lies in a little courtyard within the building. I couldn't really take a really good picture of the courtyard.. it's not too photogenic. Don't get me wrong, though. It's beautiful! The ticket booths are pretty much done. Some foliage needs to be added to the sides of the building, though. This update ends with the first picture within the actual park itself! Hope you enjoy the little teaser! Stay tuned for coaster construction pictures.. this is where it gets interesting! If you have any comments/suggestions, please post! I'd love to hear them! Until next time!

I'm currently trying to get the rest of the 120 stars in Super Mario Galaxy. I think I have like 80 or 90. I'm losing my patience, the game is harder than you would think!

It sure seems like Mark Shapiro knows what he's doing. I trust him, he seems like he cares about the future of the park and how to improve it. I love how he's approaching the improvements one step at a time.. I'm sure this year we will see lot's of improvements not only at SFMM, but other Six Flags parks as well. I'm pretty confident that with Mark Shapiro in control, the future of Six Flags parks will greatly increase. I'm glad the Tilt-A-Whirl is gone. I hate em'!

Welcome to Calypso Bay Theme Park and Resort! "Venture into a world of luxury and celebrate the grandeur of the sea... only at Calypso Bay." UPDATE 2 - Construction Update 2 Hey guys, I'm back with more construction photos. While snapping some pictures, I ran into the park manager, Patrick Justie. Once we started really getting deep into our conversation, he mentioned some rides he expects to be in the park by its opening. Some of the rides include a HUSS Giant Frisbee, a B&M Floorless Coaster, an Intamin coaster of some sort, along with many other rides. Anyways, on to the update. It was pretty rainy today, which I didn't like very much. The entrance still looked beautiful, though. This is the tram station which is currently under construction. It looks quite plain at the moment. Some of the glass roof work is pretty intricate in here. I'm sure it will look beautiful once it is finished! It got sunny, so as soon as things dried up, I followed my coaster-geek instincts and decided to check out some construction and headed into the dirt. The dirt was still kind of muddy, but it didn't matter since I found what was lying behind the large dirt mounds... Coaster track! Of course I had to snap a picture. I suppose this is for the B&M Floorless they are getting. That's all for now! Construction is really fast at the moment, so I'll be sure to bring you the latest soon! As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated!

Oh, that's not generic at all. I seriously want to know what goes through their heads when they come up with these names. As far as having Cedar Fair come up with names for your pet.. I can just imagine it now.. "Brown Dog" "Spotted Cat" "Swimming Fish" -

Welcome to Calypso Bay Theme Park and Resort! "Venture into a world of luxury and celebrate the grandeur of the sea... only at Calypso Bay." UPDATE 1 - Construction Update Welcome to Calypso Bay! I stopped by the construction site to take some pictures. Only the entrance building has been constructed. The style of the building has a beach shack type of feel. Personally, I love it! This is the last picture I have to share. Stay tuned - more construction pictures are on their way! Until next time...

I have one question.. how did you get some of your bushes and trees to intersect? I've tried some Options.txt codes and everything! ...but anyways, I love the park! It really has so much atmosphere. I don't know if I've said that before, but it has. It's almost like I can imagine myself there! Amazing. -
Well guys, while working on it, I'm afraid to say a HUGE accident happened, causing construction to some to an end. Basically, as I was saving the game, I decided to clean my saved parks folder so it's not so cluttered, and being the klutz I am, I deleted the save game. Yep! I'll probably be starting another park later on, so be on the lookout for that.

^ Well I have a four day weekend. -
Man, would I do alot of things to improve tomorrowland. I'd... -Relocate the Astro Orbiters at the front of tomorrowland to be put back on top of the PeopleMover station and replace the fugly satellite dish thing that is currently there -Add new films to be played in Star Tours, as discussed before. -Add new effects into Space Mountain (possibly the effects from Hong Kong's Space Mountain), and maybe revive the Rockit Mountain theme. If they can't do that, then fix the big asteroid at the top of the 2nd lift hill to finally work. -I don't know how it would work, but I think a ExtraTERRORestrial: Alien Encounter-like ride would be great there. -Honey, I Shrunk the Audience should be replaced with a more futuristic and new concept. Also discussed before, a TRON movie would is an awesome idea. -Bring back the PeopleMovers, but bring it back with new, more futuristic cars. Maybe it'd be cool to have little screens in each of the cars to check wait times of rides in all of the park, or to do other things. I don't know, just anything to make the ride seem all-new and add to the futuristic aspect of it. -Autopia would have electric cars and get rid of their current sponsorship with that one gas company. All the cartoon-looking cars and the corny screen that plays the stupid movies in line would be removed. All of the themeing would be re-done to look more futuristic. -The stupid red rocks would be replaced with large chrome structures or futuristic fountains. In a nutshell, I think all they need to do is to make Tomorrowland seem more... "tomorrow".

This is pretty unique.. I like it! The only problem I have with the park, though, is the repetitive buildings. I think with change of color or a change of style in different buildings, it wil be a little more pleasing to he eye. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE what you did with the buildings! I've never really seen buildings like this before. Good job! Keep it up!
