What is your next park?
Chris Benvenuto replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have hopes for Disney (Orlando) for early next year. Other then that, I have plans to do Leviathon/New Hotness as my next slew of parks and alot of those will be brand new for myself. -

Indian Point Ballpark [RCT2]

I'd pick purple or blue. Green is seen too often in alot of major and minor league ballparks. -
I really liked Great Escape, I missed going here in 2009 with a trip my dad and myself did through the northeast. However on that trip we made it no farther then Seabreeze in Rochester, New York and Darien Lake. Great Escape was a Six Flags park, that didn't act like a Six Flags park at all. Well, it had the employees' bright yellow dress shirts in ops among some Six Flags indicators but the park acted like a normal park. They didn't act or operate like a major chain park at all and the locals were great to talk to. Comet was an amazing woodie, I got a decent amount of rides' in ERT and I rode it several times more throughout the day. The prices may be there, and it may have the ads/branding. But, the park is worth the visit if you have the time. I also remember TPR members broke the S&S shot side of Sasquatch.

Oh title fairy, I would love my title to be "Enjoy your day at La Rrronde!" to serve as a humorous reminder of the 2011 Northeast Trip! Thank you ever so much!

I got one in the mail today. I'm currently looking through the thing and I'll post some photos later when I have the time. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I was at the park from 10 to 7 today, it was a very entertaining and great day for the park in terms of operations. Possible trip report without photos to come in the next few days. I got on Windseeker, that was one heck of a surprise. -
I've been doing an on and off mix of Terraia and Minecraft. I'm looking forward to the Beta 1.7 update for Minecraft, it looks promising.

I'm heading down to Point today, and going to check out Windseeker and how the park got it's act together in the month I waited. I was there on the 16th of May, and operations were absolutely terrible. I hope take 2, visit 2 is MUCH better. -
Option A. B reminds me of what they did to Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado in the 90's. Not a pretty or smart move, and eventually due to the growth of the City of Denver the park gets friggin' landlocked by the growth. Plus, I believe SFEG has flippin' parking meters in their parking lot since they're owned by the City of Denver, Therefore, Option A and take chances and see what happens. EDIT: Ghost, Kennywood looked and felt fairly ghetto from what I heard in the mid-80s to early 90s from what I've heard by word of mouth and from friends. Kennywood managed to survive, sure, that's not about until 40+ years later. But, it's a point that merits mention.

I went to MIA afew years back in Summer 2009, ST is rough I admit but honestly it's still a good ride. It's one of the hidden gems, crooked away in a less-visited amusement park in the American Midwest. I've been to MIA twice, 2007 and 2009 and both time ST delivered a fun and thrilling ride while being somewhat bumpy. This park is perfect for the demographic of people it reaches to in Western Michigan. Sure, it's not a crazy-insane amusement park like Cedar Point is, but it still serves it's purpose and does well on where it's located. I'll probably get back to MIA in a year or two, I usually have the tendency of trying to go back every 2-4 years. -

How did you spend "The Rapture?"

I laughed at the ever changing prediction times, slept a good portion of today, ate some cheese fondue for dinner and also came to post on this topic via the Facebook page for Theme Park Review. Rapture a la fail anyone? -
Photo TR - Cedar Point 2011 - Worst. Opening Day. Ever.
Chris Benvenuto replied to Real's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I hope the park will be at full strength for tomorrow, I'm heading down to the Point for the day on Monday. This is sad, how a park that boasts of being the elite and brass of the theme park world. Can't even have a decent opening day to kick off the season, but alas, it's the first day and this crap happens. But, I still think alot of this should've been foreseen weeks before and not allowed to happen on Saturday. I'm placing my luck on a prayer, and hoping the park's all up and running tomorrow. Thanks for the report, Real. -
WTH! This scares the living deuce out of me!! I have falling dreams, and it's great to see one of my nightmares coming true. I've had falling dreams surrounding the CN tower for years now, with the observation windows you walk on failing on me. Now it's an experience designed to invoke that fear! I salute anyone who has the balls of steel to do this monster nightmare of an experience, I wouldn't do it if you covered the costs for me.

TPR RCT2 Showdown!
Chris Benvenuto replied to Coupon's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Warning, don't expect all contest runners to allow this when you enter future contests. Some will throw you out of the contest for asking stuff like this. I'm not trying to be negative, but's a harsh reality. -
Yes, they are unneeded. This sentence speaks the truth. The previous sentence was a lie. Is the prior sentence more truthful then the following?

I was driving home from a McDonald's last night, with dinner for my family. The radio, told of this over the drive back. I literally facepalmed in the car and said "You didn't learn the first time, you idiot?!"
