  1. It's great to see SFMM was able to get this running up to prime again after along time being not up to speed for awhile. I remember when it opened in 97' and how everyone thought it wouldn't be beat. Man, if we could see how wrong we were then and see how rides are today, we'd be in for a world of shock. "BACKWARDS! BAAACKWARDS!" --- Robb.
  2. I remember riding Speed back in 2005, way before they began all this crap with the 10-15 minute wait periods. Me and my brother, got I think 4-6 rides straight in 2005. We had been in Vegas for a week, for his 21st birthday and we managed to get on all coasters in Vegas except the Desperado. Fun stuff.
  3. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/ap_on_re_as/as_japan_earthquake This is incredible, horrible, no words to describe it.
  4. Just as you updated us day by day via Facebook. It looks like you three one hell of a time in the Big Apple, and honestly I'd have to agree had I been there with you guys! Thanks for bringing us kickass updates along the way, it meant alot to me and probably alot of other people too on Facebook. Hope the flight back to Los Angeles goes ok, and the LAX groundcrew isn't too problematic. But, we really do know being on time and non-problematic is something LAX never is! Thanks for all the great updates, again, Robb.
  5. Old Joke is old. I see the humor in that, but, c'mon be serious here he's asking for help.
  6. The Tigers have performed well so far in Spring Training, we have along way to go until September. But, the way they're playing gives me faith that we'll make a post-season run this year. Our pitching staff seems to be doing alright, it's the just matter of cashing in on runs and not leaving men so often on base. We also have to focus on the AL Central this season, and take the season series from the Twins and White Sox. Indians and Royals are pesky too, have to keep an eye out on those two as well. Go Tigers Go!
  7. John, that music video was friggin' hilarious. I almost got Arnold Palmer drink all over my screen, I was laughing so hard, nice work! Sad to hear Tommy's leaving for U-Maryland though, hope he visits again soon!
  8. Big Mike, I would like to enter the contest because my favorite part of The Big Mike Road Show is because how awesome the big man is, and how awesome it is to be on a cheersquad and always read the great updates to the thread!
  9. You get a *Inserts a *
  10. You get some strange, Japanese porno. *inserts a half-dollar coin*
  11. You get a cordless phone. *inserts an old Robb Alvey VHS tape*
  12. From what I heard from a few suppliers for Pepsi in this area, at least around the Detroit area. Pepsi is planning to bring back both "Throwback" drinks as full-time products, due to the positive and welcoming reception both drinks have gotten as a result of the two test runs these past two years. Come Summer 2011, look for them to be on your supermarket shelves full-time. I know, I know that's the equal of asking the dipping dots guys what next year's ride is at Cedar Point or Six Flags. But, hey, it's a sign of hope.
  13. It'd be cool if you included a virtual Robb and Elissa visiting the place. TPR has been around in it's current form since about 2000, so it'd be interesting to see the opinion of the Alvey's on this. Or, Robb Alvey and Elissa White as were known in 2003.
  14. Dear Title Fairy, I'd like mine to be changed to "Rank? What RANK!?!" Thank you much!
  15. It's a flying coaster, I have a huge feeling. Remember how three parks got Superman Ultimate Flight rides in 2002-2003? This could be the fictional 4th park.
  16. My Vote goes to Racer at Kennywood.
  17. I'm thankful for this website and how big of a solid role it's played in the course of my life so far. I've met industry officials, park owners and many other important persons through this website. I met two of the best people I currently know in my life on this site, which are Robb and Elissa Alvey which I see as good friends and a part of my internet family. I'm also thankful for the forum community, it's filled with thousands of awesome and decent people. They never fail to make me laugh or smile, and we've been in for the hard times and good times together. I hope it continues to be that way. Thanks everyone! Poem for Robb/Elissa and everyone on TPR: Thanksgiving is a time For reviewing what we treasure, The people we hold dear, Who give us so much pleasure. Without you as my friends, Life would be a bore; Having you in my life Is what I’m thankful for.
  18. Thanks for the DVD. My mind = Blown with all the kickass work you do!
  19. I attend school, do some odd neighborhood snow shoveling jobs, attend Detroit Mercy basketball games (I'm a season ticket holder), hang out with friends and attend college for most of it. Then, as soon as the ice and snow start consistently melting off our trees, I plan for the new season and hope all goes well before I repeat it next Fall. I seriously can't wait for next summer, I'm really looking forward to the NE TPR trip and also the possibility of going to Disneyland Resort with a friend and my dad in the early Spring.
  20. Like Dive machines, rides like X were just taking off. Magic Mountain had bought X and built it in time for 2001, but 4D rides hadn't really taken off until about 2005-2006. That's the same time when Shekira was opened, so honestly, don't expect either of those two. A flying coaster like X-Flight/FireHawk would be more expected in this case. That's what I'm going for within the next two to three years for this park.
  21. ^ He doesn't want to go around and spend 20-30 for each of them, so I don't think that'll happen.
  22. Just chop out the boxy Arrow suspended trains and replace them with some new and improved Vekoma trains. That'd work.
  23. I wouldn't want it done, it'd be a severely limited experience. I mean, half the fun of playing RCT is in the trainers after you've completed the game. You'll build a park of your own, screw around with it, and more importantly have a trainer on the Mac/PC platforms. On the iPad, it'd work. But, it wouldn't be the same, could you imagine trying make your own park, the hard way? I mean, alot of people more or less on this games forum probably used some kind of trainer on their parks recently or in the past. To make it cost nothing when building, or if they have sandbox mode in RCT3 to edit and change trains on different track types. I mean, if this floats your boat. Do it. I just don't see the point of reviving the first two games of a series that's over 10+ years old to a platform that you'd could only play the scenarios on. Sure, it could be edited to have a sandbox, but I still would not get it. Good luck, and I hope all goes well.
  24. ^ most of YouTube doesn't care about the game to the level and detail we do. Most of the comments would be "cool" "awesome" or like "OMG, you have no life, get off your computer". I vote to keep it here.
