  1. ^^ One you're underage for the website (I hope you have permission, if you're truly eleven.) Plus, actually show work and progression before you post screenshots. A roller-coaster with only the lift-hill done isn't really that much to show, and also it's not really much to criticize on. If you truly are that age that you state, I have doubts that you have alot of experience. You're 11 years old, I hate how I make myself sound but, that's really not something I really take as a sign of quality. I didn't show my first park, until I was 14-15 years old. Plus, I spent most of my time working on designing rides instead of building parks. If I were you, that's the direction I would go in able to produce higher-quality rides and make a name for myself on the internet.
  2. ^ Wonder if there's a reason for the unforeseen closure? But, anywho, this looks good so far!
  3. Well, Well. From the looks of it, KD has themselves a sheer and true winner!! I look forward to heading out there by myself or with a group trip one day. I305 looks like alot of fun! Thanks for the hard work, Chuck and Robb. There wouldn't be good coverage on TPR without you (and specially you, Robb)
  4. ^^ depends on the city, state, or city and country you live in. Not all cities and countries have the same guidelines.
  5. I'll be going this process come this Summer, I'll be going to SF St. Louis by myself while my family goes and checks out downtown St. Louis for other attractions for a day. Plus, with my Club TPR card, I'll get some good moneys off of the gate admission.
  6. When Tiger Stadium got the wrecking ball, I cried inside. I lost a place valuable to my childhood, and my memories of being at the ballpark when I was young. Comerica's not the same. hard to believe that stadium will be ten-years old, come Opening Weekend 2010 for the Tigers.
  7. That one post with the capitalization was filled with smug-assed snarkism. Well, anyhow, I think with everything come towards media day. Construction crews and ride designers have been riding it for awhile before anyone from the park or public rides it, that's always what I thought it was. *EDIT*: Mods, sorry if I sound like an ass. Will not happen again.
  8. Didn't want to start a new topic, but what are Memorial Day crowds like at Cedar Point? Anyone know? Because I'm planning a two-day visit there, while staying the night in downtown Sandusky.
  9. ^ That's what I'm wondering, because I thought there'd be a final update instead of just letting the whole project drop into the other pages. I hope it isn't other, and he's just forgotten to post the newest update.
  10. Another thing to bring up is how people bashed the deuce out of Maverick when it revealed in Winter of 2006. The reaction was the same, and it wasn't for all ages and was more of a family ride. I saw a good, family ride out of the video. Sure, I may not ride it in the next couple year or I may not ride it in an entire lifetime. That's not the point, it looks like fun and it should be that way. Never judge a book by it's cover, or in this case, don't judge the coaster by a media POV.
  11. When I'm in line for TTD, sometimes my heart pounds so much I think it's going to fall out of my chest. But, no. In the end I have alot of fun, and the ride's over quickly. But, like said in the thread, anything less then a 110% job wouldn't be tolerated by CP or Six Flags.
  12. Already signed up Robb-O! I have to say, this is an incredible idea and it will make theme parks easier on my wallet. Thanks for all the hard work, you and Elissa do for us to make this very club possible. I love everything you do or offer us. I look forward to being a "Charter Member" !!!
  13. I had some hot-dogs w/ cheese and mustard to give me a warmup taste of ballpark dogs this 2010 season. Also, I had a bowl of Cap'n Crunch for Breakfast.
  14. ^ they SHOULD allow it, because at Cedar Fair parks they allow you to process passes for the new season at other parks. Sure, it may have that park's logo on it, but it should be the same with Six Flags.
  15. Wait....what??? final year as FPI property???? HAVE HOPE!!!! it may still be open come the end of the hurricane season and it'll see a 1990 season!!
  16. Hey hey! I may've actually seen you on MLB network, they were broadcasting the Yankee-Pirate game yesterday. Despite being a Tigers fan, I watched most of the game. Damn Yankees, taking away our beloved Center Fielder!!!!
  17. (adding on to the story for Charleston Gardens, hope you don't mind CD! Back then, the Emergency Alert System was called the Emergency Broadcast System and I'm doing this for the sake of canon and for the park's situation) (Emergency Broadcast System) This message has been transmitted by request of the Charleston Police Department: The National Weather Service in Charleston-Berkley has issued a Hurricane Warning for the following counties in South Carolina: Charleston, Berkley, Georgetown, Dorechester, Colleton, Jasper and Beauefort. Hurricane Hugo is expecting to make landfall in the next 24 hours, it is advised that you evacuate immediately and move into higher ground. If you decide not to evacuate, you are doing so at your own risk. Due to the nature of a Hurricane, extreme winds in excess of 130 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 180 miles per hour. If you are unable to evacuate, it is advised that you assemble an emergency shelter kit stocked with at least two weeks of food, water, batteries. Also, it is also recommended that you stay indoors during the storm and do not go outside when it is calm, this is most likely the eye of the storm which means the winds will again pick up soon. Stay tuned to your local media outlets for more information. (EBS warning broadcast ends) Things do NOT look good for Charleston Gardens, let's just hope the park can hold on and it finds a good buyer.
  18. Hmmm....Yeah Jobs, be even MORE anti-3rd party!!! I mean seriously, didn't someone win and sue Apple for the iPhone name in the first place? It's ironic how this goes in aback and forth-like manner. They get sued by a 3rd party group for a name, then they sue back for a company using a similar idea and design.
  19. ^^ Give the USA some credit with the upsets they've had in international-friendly matches recently. They'd win in the first round, but we'd get our butts handed to us after that. Despite that, nice bracket you've got there. VERY nice.
  20. Looking forward to picking up MLB 10: the Show tomorrow when it comes out, got my copy ordered in advance. I hope it's good and from the gameplay footage I've seen, it does look that way.
  21. ^ I wasn't trying to compare it in THAT manner, more like in a brand name sort of way. Busch reminds me of beer, and also Hamburger University is to help train workers into Managers at McD's. Sorry, if I totally sounded like an idiot.
  22. This kind of reminds me of McDonald's Hamburger University. Sorry for the one-liner post, but I'd like to compare the two, but I don't think I have the facts to. Boy....this post is awkward...and I'm probably going to get a joke or two based off it. LOL.
  23. I actually like when haunts use gross, yet familiar smells. HHN has used poo and vomit smells in past houses and it seemed effective at disturbing people. It can add a sense a realism to a house if it is done right and not over used. Ewww....Now I'm not going into haunted houses at HHN now. Thanks for telling me this detail Now, this whole bodily fluid discussion, has me looking different at well-known haunted houses. (Off-Topic: 1001th POST! WOO! )
  24. Knoebel's not Knoeble's, and I've been there but have only been on a few rides since I was only there for about 2-3 hours. I shall return to the park one day, when not in a rush and also on a day where it doesn't rain.
  25. (This is meant to be seen as a fan letter, from Cleveland, Ohio.) Mr. Reynolds, What do you think of the draw to Cedar Point's new hyper, Magnum XL-200? I was there recently and the lines were 2-3 hours long, maybe Charleston Gardens can build something similar to be noticed by thrillseekers once again? I've been going to the Gardens for vacation since 1983. Maybe the park could draw in crowds this way! Just thinking out loud! Daniel S.
