  1. Happy New Year, everyone! Hope everybody had a great time celebrating last night and that any hangovers are being recovered from nicely.
  2. Intamin better watch out! This design is surely going to ice over their snow coaster sales!
  3. I got a good ol' box of goodies from my Secret Santa. He was quite nice with the Mexican Coke and various candies provided in the box from all over this world we call ours. Therefore, thanks alot!
  4. It's cool that the park is getting Flying Scooters but it's nothing worth driving back for. I was there this past May and back in 2009 and I think going back every three years will be my current habit. Unless, the park gets something real major like a coaster or extreme thrill ride. I'm not heading back there until 2015 - I find MIA to be a wonderful place for families but not something worth going back to every year. But, I have a feeling either way that this'll tide the family crowd over quite well and think it's rather nice of the park to add them.
  5. That does indeed look truly amazing for a bowling alley of that caliber. If I ever make it back down to Orlando sometime in the future I'll make sure to check this place out by myself or with family/friends. I like the whole approach made with the place in which it makes you think you have returned to the 1950's era alley. Thanks for sharing the photos as always!
  6. I have received word that my giftee got their package yesterday night. Therefore, I just have to wait for their package to make it's way here.
  7. Mountain Dew: Baja Blast with my early lunch today!
  8. That alone would be a good reason to put up 10-20 bucks. Heck, even more!! I would love to help contribute and bring it back, even if it was just for a week or two like the holiday party in the past. If something like this is put together, let me know about it!
  9. I've managed to get my gift ordered and shipped out to my giftee. It should be there by sometime next week, therefore, I'm all set and ready to go. It's a rather nice gift for the cheap price that I found it for. EDIT: It's offtopic, I know. But, 1400th post get!
  10. Really sounds cool everyone is getting and shipping stuff out! I hope people got some truly awesome gifts!
  11. The best thing I can say is contact someone who is in charge of the park's online store or someone in marketing. They should be able to catch someone that will or can help you. That's what I recommend. As for my end... I think I have a good idea of what to get. Just need to commit to getting it out on the 3rd!
  12. To whom it may concern, Expected shipping of gifts is scheduled for December 3rd, 2012. That is all!
  13. I got mine this afternoon! I still have the ornament from a couple years back from when it was sold in the store. I think it was from 2008 or 2009, but, still cool that it gets a buddy to hang up by on the tree this Christmas season.
  14. The RAW titles are amazing and have alot of good and surprising content to them. However, it's been awhile since a Coaster Expedition has been released and I would love to see one of them centered around the Northeast/Road to CP tour last summer. Not just because I was on it, it's because of all the awesome memories I had on that trip and I still continue to tell people over a year later how awesome it was. I would like something to show them either be a DVD or Blu-Ray, it would be cool to use it as a selling point for friends and family of mine to join me on a trip. I remember the old Coaster Seasons on VHS, that's what got me sold on the tapes/DVD/Blu-Rays. Back then, I liked the videos because you seemed to be great people to hang out with at the parks. Those videos showed me alot of parks I could only dream of getting to at the time, when I was 11-12 years old. But now, I can join the tours and hang out while making friends in the process. I'm sold for another Coaster Expedition! I look forward to whatever you put out in general, just keep making awesome content and productions. This too, as well is one of the bigger reasons the Coaster Expedition titles amuse me!
  15. What a drag. This was a good woodie that deserved alot more attention then it got. I remember going down to the Florida Keys for Spring Break 2008 and I spent a few hours at Boomers then. I rode the Hurricane a good 7 times due to there being next to no-one riding the ride the night I went with my dad. I think at one point there were six other people in the train with me, just riding it out in the back while I rode mostly in the middle and front. Good ride, decent air, it will be missed. Just wish I could've ridden it again before it got shut down.
  16. Well well, Torii Hunter has joined the Tigers for a two year 26 million dollar contract. Which, should in fact strengthen the hitting and defensive play we have in the outfield making it harder for balls to pass by. I really hope that Boesch still sees some level of play, he's not a bad right-fielder, either. He has some issues to work on, but, for his sake I hope he sees play even if he's used a back-up for Hunter.
  17. Na na na na, na na na na! Hey hey hey! GOOOOODBYE!
  18. This. I was surprised at that - just shows how wonderful Robb can be despite language barriers.
  19. - The Detroit Zoo I know it's not the specifics of IAAPA where TPR interviewed several industry leaders and companies. But, I'd like to throw this in as well. I volunteered for the Detroit Zoo this past summer and found I needed to share with TPR that you do have a member of the 2012 Zoo Ambassador crew on the site. I'm proud to have helped out the zoo, and to help fellow Detroiters relax. /off-topic But, when it comes to being on-topic... Thanks for all the coverage and hard work this year! I loved all the questions, interviews and general content that came out of the site. It really kept me informed and up to date on what's going on in the industry - as always, you have my thanks TPR! Keep being awesome!
  20. I had a big ol' bowl of ramen - it tasted really, really good for some reason. It maybe the fact I haven't had some in a couple weeks, but, either way that was a damn good bowl of noodles.
  21. Chrome, Firefox and Opera. I use Opera in conjunction with programming and web design classes in college - I've always had a soft spot for Firefox, haven't updated due to the newest version freezing whenever I do anything. Chrome, I use that when all else fails or something doesn't quite work right with Firefox.
  22. I miss this place dearly at times. The only time I went was back in 2003 during it's last year as a Six Flags park, it was a nice lakeside park and I found when they were run by Six Flags they were quite wonderful. Well, then again, I was 12 years old then and I didn't know it all about park operations and brand names of parks which decided what quality of service they had. I still wish it was around today, there are a few folks I wish I could've taken there today. It was a nice change from Cedar Point, it made you realize there was just more then (Paramount's) Kings Island and Cedar Point down in Ohio.
  23. Great Coasters International: How well received are the smaller wooden models you produce? Such as American Thunder? Gravity Group: How big or how well received are the Timberliner trains you produce? We know of them seeing use on Voyage at Holiday World and with Wooden Warrior at Quassy, but, how has feedback in response to these unique trains?
  24. Also, angry ticks will fire out of this man's nipples (Don Hertzfeldt, anyone)? Well, POV's, reading materials and planning for the TPR gift exchange will hold me off til' Spring. My next park visit isn't until opening day 2013 for Cedar Point, which when I'll be riding GateKeeper of course. Until then, it's abunch of holiday and gift planning until next year.
  25. I like roller coasters (obviously), gift cards being a college student, reading, travel, history and also different sports related items such as t-shirts, hats, and the like. This should be alot of fun - I really enjoyed last year's gig and this year sounds to be even better with the increased amount of people contributing and helping out with it all.
