  1. You need the Divx Codec. You can download it here: http://www.divx.com/divx/play/download/ (the email thing is optional, so you can just skip that and click download)
  2. I think that's because when you hold your breath, the diaphragm and often the abdominal muscles are contracted, thus limiting the movement of the organs and most of the feeling you get with negative Gs. That's just my theory, but I'll have to try this out next time I'm on a coaster.
  3. Scream at SFMM, yesterday. It's always the last ride of the day for me.
  4. Yes, in order to create a DVD that will play in a DVD player (that is, not just video files burned as data) they need to be converted to MPEG-2 then converted to the playable format (.vob/.bup/.ifo). Many video editing programs will convert WMV movies directly to this format, although it will take a while. Since you said it will be a 1-hour long dvd, you can either use the standard DVD bitrate (4000kbps), which will give you 2 hours of video space on a single-layer dvd, or the 8000kbps setting, which will give 1 hour of video space. These options should be available in whatever program you use to encode the videos. I don't think Windows Movie Maker does this, so you'll need to use a video editing program. Hope that made sense....
  5. LOL. That was pretty good.
  6. I get scared on most coasters pretty much all the time. But it's ok, for me that's part of the fun.
  7. It was actually pretty good. But there were some problems: 1. Lift hill was not straight (use the I button) 2. there were a few rought spots. 3. The train went through the inversions very slowly. Otherwise, pretty good.
  8. Awwwww.. I hope SFMM's freefall isn't next. For it's height, it really gives a great drop. And I like how it's situated very close to Riddler's Revenge too.
  9. I got a SFMM playpass. And I'm going later this week.
  10. I don't know, I want to say Tatsu, but it looks like Expedition Everest has more theming to it and is a better ride. :?
  11. OK, I recently found out that Monday the 3rd is also an option. It seems that day they're open from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. Is that a good day to go?
  12. I'm planning to go to SFMM sometime next week. Does anyone know what the crowds will be like next week and what the best day to go is? Also, what kind of waits for rides I should expect? I don't get to go very often because of circumstances, so it would be great if this visit went well. Thanks in advance.
  13. Superman: The Escape. It's big, gray, ugly, and LOUD. I would much prefer a giant drop tower in it's place. For some reason reverse freefalling sucks compared to regular freefalling IMO.
  14. So what is the advantage of the cylindrical-looking track as opposed to a regular arrow track? :?
  15. I enjoy them both. But I enjoy shuttle loops slightly more.
  16. this screenshot from Windows Live sorta shows X's que. But since I've never been on X I can't offer any details. http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=12/35120191817.jpg&s=x11 You can use Windows Live to get aerial views of many rides all over the country (including their queues)
  17. I just tried the demo. It's fun, but NL is better.
  18. WOW. That sucks.
  19. By pressing control+shift+F11 (if I remember correctly) during the game Windows Movie Maker will do it, or any other video editing software You can upload videos to many sites, including www.putfile.com and www.rapidshare.de . With putfile, just select a video from the home page and click upload, then use the link it gives you to link people to your video. All videos taken with RCT3 go to the My Documents/My Videos/RCT3 folder. In a video editing program, just browse there and select the raw video to edit.
  20. Here in the L.A. area it's been pretty clear, with a few clouds around. TV says it might rain tomorrow though :? . And it's been getting a bit cold in the mornings. Today: High: 60°F Low: 48°F
  21. Call of Duty 2 But it would be a good idea to download the demo first to see if your computer can handle it.
  22. Don't worry about it. EVERYONE has that problem. I consider my PC high end and it will go anywhere from 1fps - 3fps for me. But the good thing about this method of capturing is that no matter how much it lags, the end result will be at a full 30fps. So all you can do is wait for it to render.
  23. I found it on xtremecoastin.com here's the link http://www.xtremecoastin.com/videos/misc_videos/ttdstuck_2005.wmv
  24. Yeah, XP will run with 128mb, but it won't be good for games. Since RAM is a hardware component, there's no way to "add" more without buying it and installing it. So if you do decide to buy more RAM make sure that you are buying the correct type (correct number of pins, speed, type, etc.). It would be a good idea to pick up as much as you can, you can get 512mb for not alot of money, (under $40 if you look for a good deal). I have had experience running games with 128mb, 384mb, and (currently) 1GB, and as far as I can tell, upgrading to 256mb or 512mb should be more than enough to run zoo tycoon fairly well. But my question is this, if you have bought the game, have you installed it and tried it yet with your current 128mb? It may actually work reasonably and be playable. Good Luck.
  25. I have always viewed this site with Firefox (1.0.7) and have not had any problems.
