I played an old DOS game called XATAX when I was about 4.. been playing computer games ever since. Too bad it won't run on my computer now due to runtime errors. I think it only accepts a maximum cpu of pentium-100mhz

Yeah, best option is probably to format and reinstall, but make sure you have all the drivers of the old computer (usually on the discs that came with the computer). Otherwise you may be stuck without sound/internet/or video drivers and no easy way to get them. Also, know that this method will delete EVERYTHING. That means your wallaper, pictures, programs, everything. Be sure to back up whatever you need to cd or dvd then copy it to the old computer after the formatting.

Something that annoys me is people that abuse or look down to animals.. "Oh it's just an animal" Well I'm sure most higher animals can feel just as much pain as a human can. What's even worse is how hypocritical people can be. If it's some kind of pet, people look to it as a "member of the family" and make sure it gets all it's nutritional needs, take to a vet, and take care of it and everything. Yet, when we're talking about cows or chickens or some other non-pet animal, people don't seem to care. What really IS the difference between a dog and a cow? They're both mammals and I'm sure they both feel pain when no taken care of. Yet one is slaughtered after living a miserable life and one is taken care of. I know this is a very weird topic in a thread like this and most of you will probably disagree with me, and I'm sure I'm guilty of most of the things I mentioned above, but It's just someting I've been thinking about and doesn't make sense to me.

It's really a shame that such a great game gets such negative reactions because it's a resource hog. If everyone were to see and play the game to it's full potential with all the great graphics and effects we would all agree that it's a great game. Hopefully in a few years it will be fully appreciated.

If the ripples aren't showing it sounds like a video card problem. Are you running the latest drivers? Also, if you have an outdated video card that doesn't support DirectX 9 or some pixel shader or other feature, that could also be a cause of the missing water.

actually both the xbox and ps2 have very weak processor/ram/graphics cards compared to a computer that can run rct3 smoothly. Also, a PC is able to run the game at very high resolutions (1600 x 1200) while a ps2 or xbox could only run the game at 720 x 480 (best-case scenario). the XBOX also doesn't have full directx 9.0 compatibility. That said, if rct3 were ever ported to a ps2 or xbox it would have to have it's graphics severely downgraded in order to run smoothly, not to mention the lower resolutions it would give. In other words, "PS2 or xbox graphics" would likely be more of a dowgrade that an upgrade. ps3 and xbox 360 however, that's likely a differet story.

Let's see... 1. Better people AI 2. More realistic coasters. 3. Ability to import Nolimits Tracks 4. A more efficient graphics engine. (lags on larger parks) 5. Ability to walk through the park in first person 6. No more bugs 7. Better and faster scenery 8. Ability to put paths in real-life directions (real parks don't put their paths along a grid, they curve and aren't based in squares like rct) 9. There should be auto-gen stations in several styles ...that's all I can think of for now
