Twister II's California Trip Review!
ShoubraStreet74 replied to Twister II's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Ehh.. I actually like disneyland. Sure they don't have very "extreme" rides, but the rides they do have are very enjoyable because they are well themed and have a great feel/atmosphere IMO. Whenever I go, it's very fun, even if it's not as intense as SFMM. In other words, I enjoy both SFMM and DLR but for different reasons. -

The park looks great so far! Although I must say I don't like the awkward way rct3 does it's "stormrunner" coaster type. :? -

That's really well built. Good Job. I did find the "tilted" loop a bit weird though. -

I think height varies ALOT with this ride. When I went to SFMM last summer, it was pretty close to the "before" line. It probably has its good days and bad days. Even in the same day I was there I saw it really high some times, and somewhere between the two lines at other times. I actually have never ridden it, but from what I have observed of the ride, the "after" line looks to be exaggerated, although I doubt it reaches the "before" line very often. -
And this is why I stick to PC gaming.

I guess I could stop for a year, but I wouldn't want to. So I voted no. -

X-Scream and Insanity are two rides I would probably NEVER ride. That's just a bit too much for me.  -
The Revolution--back in the day
ShoubraStreet74 replied to coasterboy76's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Wow. The area in those photos looks so empty and treeless, and the track looks... so.. white and clean! I rode Revolution last summer and really liked it even with the brakes and OTSRs. It must have been really good in the few years after it opened. Wouldn't it be really cool if MM restores it to it's former greatness for the opening of Tatsu? Not going to happen though.. -
The Rollercoaster Tycoon built in video recorder will record the video frame by frame. It WILL take a long time to render, but the end result will be a steady framerate. Fraps on the other hand captures every frame as t is rendered. Fraps WILL slow down your PC if it's not super-high end and will result in jerky, low framerate video all the time unless you have a significantly powerful PC. I would recommend the RCT built in one because even though it takes a while, the end result is always smooth video Either way (Especially with Fraps because it creates ENOURMOUS files) you will want to compress it using any video editing software. Even windows movie maker does this, but it will most likely take a mong time with any program. You can upload to several sites, but I prefer putfile because it's simple and has a fairly good limit (25mb with a free account). Hope that answered all questions.

Next Expansion for RCT3
ShoubraStreet74 replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I highly doubt we will see any more RCT games for a very long time. Especially since RCT3 continues to be a resource-hog for many people with medium-low end PCs. For the time being, I am pretty satisfied with RCT3: Wild.
