  1. Well guys, I just saw several pics on CNN.com and damage to Houston, Galveston, and surrounding is pretty bad. Tough to gauge how bad Kemah got walluped. We'll just have to wait and see and keep good thoughts. Makes me wonder what kind of shape Schlitterbahn at Galveston is in.
  2. You wear hilarious shirts like "I heart Toxic Waste" and "Hellery", so that pastry pic was a natural. Same for octopi. I always think of you, Dave, and Wes, or rubber duckies with Moose and Big Mike. It's a humorous association. Back to topic, Nice Eagle Fortress PoV! Know it's been crazy busy there in Asia, so hope it's been a blast as well. Cheers all!
  3. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Aww crap, I'm busted....once again you have blue-screened me. Great find and MC Hammer's 2 Legit 2 Quit was the first CD single I ever bought. LOL! Thank you. Much effort was put into getting lighting just right on those funnel cakes (not really). 3ish was a "just in case" the Dragon Wagon was powered (I mistakenly thought it would be). Nope, it's legit because of the tire drive. Proper! As for time between credits, I'm moving to the Def Leppard system. New album every 6-7 years. Here's one last tack-on to this thread...enjoy, and thank you all. Pepsi Money Wings.
  4. Coaster Credit #3 - The Oktoberfest Dragon Wagon. I feel so dirty....
  5. Big Mike, did you send some of your magic my way? I so lucked into a credit after getting denied, and it was like one of your stories. I send the good vibes along for the dog for a speedy recovery.
  6. Mine said not even if I bought it dinner. Denied.......
  7. Lol! I thought you were quoting the big fighting robot from the Bender/URFC episode. Hey, you've gotta love Morbo's intensity, particularly in sharing recipes. I have to stop reading this TR. It makes me hungry every time!
  8. I'm kind of inspired to re-read Musashi' Book of the Five Rings. It's not Halloween or Horror, but it is mind-expanding.
  9. According to one carnie, they've added a bit more than last year. Since this is my first year, no prior reference here. All the sweeter! And thank you Joe for a great find in that shirt. Awesome! Thank you, but ParkTrips is the real one to thank and the one who found it. I just laughed my butt off and ordered it. Oktoberfest runs September 11-14. Friday 5 pm-1am ($10), Saturday 12pm-1am ($10), Sunday 1pm-8pm ($8). Admission, food, and carnie games are all you pay for. Thank you all for the kind words and Thank you bobafett for the tip on the funnel cake. Excellent call!
  10. Yes! Launched inverted hyper woody! This wood also be an excellent time for the suspended version of the Millenium Flyer Trains to appear. IF this thing was built, wood there be much of a view through all the supports, etc? You might as well call it Trellis: The Ride since that's all you're likely to see.
  11. Inspired updates, and some great captions. The Top Gun and Beast shot and caption is definately one of the funniest. Well thank you. Yes, there's at least a couple Arrow enthusiasts on the board. Looking forward to the rest of your journey.
  12. Avast ya swabs! Thar be pirate talk in my Oktoberfest extension o me thread in the main coasterin' forum. I be enjoyin ya mateys, but it's off to varnish me wooden leg fer next week. Hooey! Says I of Talk Like a Ninja. You wouldn't hear the skalawag until you be on yer way to meet the Kracken! They be a crafty and slippery lot, hiding in those Gatlinburg Mountains. Yarrr!
  13. Oh man that's great! I appreciate that! Thanks Rocky!
  14. Redstone Arsenal puts on an Oktoberfest celebration every year (in September) with fair rides, carny games, funnel cakes, and, of course, beer. No this is not NEARLY as good as the AWESOME German fairs we've all seen, but I still had fun and gave an acceptable nod to my mixed Euro heritage. On to the pics mine friends! And finally, success! I was able to get the Dragon Wagon credit. Yes it's powered, but with these 15+ years between cycles, I'm counting it. Thank you all for reading and you can stop laughing at my coaster count any time.... Yes, you really could get a picture with a boxing kangaroo. He was also working security tonight. Now that is one intents Oompah Band. Ok, time to say WHEN. (that was the Headless Spider going fast btw) Headless Spider...AT NIGHT! B-Mode Yeti not included. Yup, happy buzz setting in. I swear tried to find Frozen Coke for you Jahan. I swear I did... Just in case you forgot the ride's name amidst the bad Johnny Cash jokes. "I fell in to a..ring of fire..." "C'mon world...join in...start a ghost train..." Why do I keep taking pictures of this? Well, it does look groovy at night. Cool sky, though the cock-eyed angle says the buzz was setting in. I'm certified and of legal drinking age. Still a lightweight who opted for the 16 oz plastic bottle of Miller Light, vs the Arnold Schwartensteins people were drinking. Hey man, I gotta drive home AND be at work Friday. The German ancestors will just have to deal. Come to Butthead.... I call Alien torture device. Sorry folks, best caption I got right now. Spining mouse car + drunken barrel + tilt a whirl + football =....you know, I really have no idea. That is just one messed up flat. Hi Magic Mountian. And speaking of fail...Hey lady! You're doing it wrong! I'm having good luck with Ferris Wheel shots lately. They come out wheely good. All together now...FAIL! Hmmm...no flags. I see the Lemonade is not nearly as AMAZING as the Northeast Alabama Fair's. (gasp!) More heaven! I'm in heaven. Thar be craft tents an other fineries. Bah! Give me tankard and booty! Speakin O landlubbers, I sees the legendary Headless Spider with me good eye. It be a myth no more says I! Arr! Me little bath buddies be sportin thier eye patches fer Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19! Look alive Moose and Big Mike, this pick be for you two land lubbers! Alien torture device or super collider? You decide...while I pay Robb a quarter. Ya'll, that just ain't right! Yes, another swinging ship/coaster love child, cleverly themed to Johnny Cash no less. It's seems Pinhead, Chucky, and Pennywise have gone into the railroad business. Speaking of trains, how are ya Matt? Like this Frog Hopper full of stoned frogs. Uh huh, somebody's been doing Toad again. Glad to see they had a lot of stuff for the kiddies to do.... Yay! A Dragon Wagon! Finally a new...waddya mean only little kids?! Boooo! Oh! Those are Funnel Cakes! Hmmm...wonder how that Lemonade Fried is? I didn't try the Akes, but the popcorn and candy apples smelled really good.
  15. Though there is great value and greatly expanded vocabulary from reading, I'm just not a big reader. Besides, there are plenty of daily tales of dread and horrific squabbling on CNN.com. One of my heros, 90's FireHouse Bassist Perry Richardson, was an avid Stephen King fan. Thought this was a cool fact about him.
  16. ^What he said! While not a ribs fan, it's hard to deny those looked really good. Great Futurama reference in there too. Thank you for posting this.
  17. "Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?" - Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark No Carowinds or KI for Dr. Jones next year. Anybody else see a couple trends here in both naming and irony?
  18. Another...interesting...update what with the fecal fascination about panda poo. Seriously, good to see these and have enjoyed them. The work at Ocean Park is impressive. Excited to see the end results. As always much appreciated and safe journey to everyone there. This pic seemed like it should be Falafel's next Avatar for some reason. It seemed to suit her humor.
  19. The Nerd is grateful for the shoutout. Thank you for the kindness, friend, and the new desktop. Man if I had the park to myself like you did, there would be an orgiastic overtake of Smokey Mountain Rampage to make up for over 15 years of missed credit...followed by Vault Icee after-thirst.
  20. HAHAHAHA!! That's awesome stuff Terry. I would've snarfed too. On tuesday, my intrenched loyalties to the PMW party were handsomely rewarded. I submit the following.... I love this party! Pepsi Money Wings...4eva!
  21. Aye mateys! You'll be seeing some swabby lingo in my PTRs soon. Me fellow landlubber says his hook'll be extra sharp fer the occasion, since he be a fool fer this day each year. A tankard o ale to ye and a saucy lass or lad at yer side!
  22. A Great TR and a Great shoutout that had me laughing for 5 minutes, at work, with my hand over my mouth and shaking my head. And very clever given recent comments in other threads. Was wondering if you'd get the carousel across the bridge in Chattanooga and you did. Very cool. Both sets definately inspire to tour these places...and eat seafood. Enjoyed it! Big Thank You.
  23. Oh yeah! I forget the class, but she was also the cheerleader dance teacher and very pretty. Some guy got on the football team "lived the dream" and wasn't smart enough to keep a lid on it, landing them both in hot water. She got fired, and I think is frat bros reinitiated him as punishment. Doh!
  24. Hmmm...while my loyalties as completely useless Royal Viseer are to Beemer and PMW, Dolomite is a solid and righteous candidate. Especially for a 70's child who still remember's his mother's burnt orange, lime green, and yellow pizza keeper and macrome plant holders. My gut says to stay with the PMW ticket, since, sooner or later quality buffalo wings will be served, and, according to my girlfriend (yes pity her) I am a WingSlut.
  25. Talk about cool mechanical robo art! I would've loved to have seen this in person. Makes those giant ants they decorate the side of science museums with look downright weak. Big hairy robot spiders of doom get 2 thumbs up from me. (Wow! That sounded like something Guy would say....)
