AND THEN THERE WERE NONE - WEEK 8
TheRapidsNerd replied to coasterdude5's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ While true, it is expected that most people will play the revenge card here. Choosing the unexpected is more fun and keeps it lively, hence my vote for mcjaco. Somehow, this all works into Dr. Malcom's Chaos Theory. This is probably also the part where mcjaco tells me to jump out of a moving vehicle to further illustrate the point. -

Ahh, the choices. I have a deeper appreciation for Wes' humor and perspective. It's made me laugh MANY times. I'm single again, so, even slim prospects with members of the opposite sex are worth considering. Plus it's fun being a shameless flirt, even if my real chances are nill. And hey, how can you not love Epcot, trains, and a good beer? Sorry Matt, but it's the end of the line for you. Follow your cell phone into the Great Beyond with my deep respect. -

Postcard from Alabama is on it's way as of this Monday (October 21). It should be there any day now. Hey, I still re-read the thread to see what's going on. It really is great to see so many people lend a hand with this. Yeah, we have a good group in TPR. -

^ Well, she's humorously advertising a little, and, to quote Monty Python, I know of a few around here who would gladly "face the peril". There may yet be more online dating with more and more ladies joining the boards. Eh, who knows? It's all random and fun, just like this survivor game. Man oh man, has this thread made me laugh! -

You know, I was inspired to comment....and now I'm at a complete loss. Oh man was that funny! Seems we've gone from Survivor to The Bachelorette. -
You know what? Good. Good there's yet another new coaster to ride for 2009. Good that it'll likely have Millenium Flyer trains. Good that it's carrying on a grand tradition of entertainment and craftsmanship. Good that our friends at Magic Mountain are getting another coaster and keep improving the park.

Cosmic, You did a great job with this TR. Thank you VERY much for including Star Trek: The Experience in it. And kudos to the Borg's costume. Just lots of good things in this TR. -
This was interesting. My first reaction to the thread title was "Wood Tiger" ala the Chinese Zodiac. Yep, this quiz hits the mark alright. (Insert YOUR fave diety) help us all. Lol!

Mailing Postcard..Take 2 A funny thing happened on the way to mail your postcard today. I stopped by the US Space and Rocket Center gift shop to get another postcard after fubar-ing the first. On the way in is a little memorial for Miss Able Baker, one of the first monkeys in space. There's a tradition of leaving a banana on top of the monument as a little tribute. While looking at this, I noticed for the first time, a smaller, flat monument. This one was for Big Al, another space monkey AND Able's husband. Curiously, Able had her customary banana, but Big Al didn't. As luck would have it, I had a banana with me that I bought for breakfest this morning. The answer was obvious. I grinned and said quietly "Here you go, pal", placing the banana on the stone. For some reason, I briefly petted the stone just like you would a dog or cat. Yep, the second banana got his OWN banana today, thanks in part, to your class project. Where ever he is, I'm sure Big Al is one happy little space monkey. Hope you enjoy the story and postcard that's once again on it's way. Best, Michael -

LOL! Uh huh, likely story lady, likely story.... Yet, the single guys on the board are scrambling to shore up their chances at this very moment. Seriously, it is good to see more lady enthusiasts on the boards. Always a good thing. -

Ok, sign me up for dumbest things said/did on TPR. It's been a LOOOONNNGGG time since I've sent anything snail mail, let alone addressing a post card. Well, when I sent it the other day, I put my address on it thinking "return to sender address" and not Sammi's address. EPIC FAIL! Sorry Sammi and Mom. I'll get it fixed and in the mail soon. Hope you get a laugh of this at least. -

Though I DO have a humorous score to settle with Wes over a particular picture, he lives...for now. He does get points for RTFM @ SFKK, however. Matt, a fellow railroad fan also stays on track this week. Natalie lives thanks to her OUTSTANDING PTRs (NOT her *charms*, though I dare not knock them, fearing epic beat-down by her fans). Brent, I know you the least, therefore, rest well and dream of large women. -
Aliens are Coming to Alabama on October 14!
TheRapidsNerd replied to Brandy524's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well friends, here is 100% genuine photographic evidence of..... ALIEN CLOUDS! Dear God! They're EVERYWHERE!! See for yourself! Luckily I am prepared for such events. Sorry ET, I got into the white zinfandel last night. But the Brogans is good and the beer is Derek approved. (This also answers the "Where's the booze?" question from my Insomnia PTR.) The week's not over yet. The Borg may yet assimulate us by week's end. (To some of us geeks, that's not a bad prospect considering one Borg in particular. Set phasers to Yowza!). Fear not friends! I will keep you informed on the very latest of these stellar events. Stay tuned to Brandy's out of this world thread for the very latest. Yet they have not quite mastered grillinary skill or they too know the TRUE power of Cooking with Joe. And it seems they've attempted to barbeque... Some are cleverly disguised as large fluffy ani... Look! More on the horizon! It's an invasion! See!? They're hiding behind that tree.
