  1. Hey man, progress is progress. Keep up the good work.
  2. ^ That would be AWESOME and how can I refuse? Good food, good company, and touristy stuff? You can't beat it! Wish I could've gotten together with some of the PA peeps (or contacted them at least), but we had some long work days. Even so, enjoyed the time up there and it was much warmer than Huntsville! Beautiful colors around too. And now I'm all hungry for cheese-steak.... EDIT: Revolutionary Post! #1776. Kinda makes me want to buy a tri-corner hat...or go back to Wiliamsburg.
  3. Heh, yeah, I remember that guy from a while back. He was fun, wasn't he? For the record, Alabama Adventure is an ok park if you're visiting B'ham, but not worth a special trip. Meh.
  4. Sounds like a fantastic trip and thank for the Fury of the Nile shots. Your hosts really did a great job with the hospitality. As for the shenanigans at the Big Mike hotel, all I can say is....you devil! Looking forward to the 2009 Roadshow when it swings southward.
  5. John, Thank you for the coverage and pics. Hope Starliner and the others find good homes too. Bummer after all the time spent rebuilding Starliner last year. The 'roo pic is a good one too. Cheers and best to you.
  6. One of the first motion simulators I ever rode was Star Tours. Also rode Body Wars over at Wonders of Life and another one somewhere called Journey to Atlantis or Quest for Atlantis (Sea World, maybe?). All pretty much the same model, just different movie. In their own right, simulators are a good time and a great way to get out of the summer heat. Even the older Max Flight coaster simulators that look they're running Silicon Graphics engines look like fun. I think Cement Mixer: The Ride, every time I see one spin up. Some of the most awesome, I've heard, are the Battletech Simulators that are networked. Never got a chance to try those, but was a big Mech Warrior fan several years ago. Despite the cheeseyness by today's standards, the Virtuality machines of the early 90's are my absolute faves. They just had a cool futuristic look to them, even with the ginormous HMD (Head Mounted Display). The graphics were so so, but the head tracking was pretty good and didn't break the illusion. Come to think of it Sega's Afterburner qualifies as does Galaxy Force Version 2.
  7. RCT3 Soaked works well enough for me. Neat idea, could be good for ride testing by companies, but I don't see it for public use, unless Dunkin Donuts inks a deal with Six Flags.
  8. Amen brother! Would be a sad day indeed, as I don't have that credit yet either. Bummer about Snoopy, but what can you really do? And if Knott's used to be like Dollywood in quality, I can see a completely new side and understanding to cfc's comments from another Knott's thread last year. Wow! Most enlightening. Humoursly I get this mental image of Jimmy sitting at the bar, Snoopy next to him, leaning dejectedly on his paw, and woodstock sitting on the bar with a tiny mug next to him. The caption reads "Good Grief!" Wish I could draw it.
  9. Well, so much for the "Smoke on the Water" or "Proud Mary" rapids ride. Between here and Cypress Gardens, Visionland could jackpot on used rides. Led Zeppelin? Oh no....Try Freebird: The Ride. *sniff* ...its...just.....so...beautiful. Sure Skynnard had a blimp...somewhere....
  10. ^But COMMEND that guy for being supportive anyway
  11. That great news! Glad to hear Kemah getting back on it's feet.
  12. ^ I do too. Yeah, they did it wrong, but, with the right people and know how, it's possible. If nothing else, save the psychadelic boobs! Save the boooooooobs!
  13. How can I knock a guy who puts up a great report, likes donuts, and does a rapids shot 3 pics into his TR, not to mention hooks up the resident monorail enthusiast? No fishing jokes here. Coincidentally, I was eating a donut early yesterday morning while reading the TR. Thank you kindly friend and enjoyed it!
  14. Ahh! Ya beat me on a TR by a couple weeks! Great report and pics man. They make the upcoming trip with family that much more enticing.
  15. ^^^ & ^^ You two are not well. Ruby Rod said it best..."Bzzizzzzit!" Robb, dunno if this helps, but when I go to strip malls lately (malls, NOT bars folks) I'll park at one end and walk to whereever or I'll park out a bit further in the parking lot to get in a little extra walking. That's if I'm not pressed for time. Doesn't sound like much, but those little bits do add up over time. Same thing at work. Park far out and walk a little more to the entrance. I'll take the stairs instead of the elevator and walk down to a further restroom or drink machine just to get a little break. You probably are well aware of these, but they were worth mentioning in case not.
  16. LOL! I thought something was missing. Glad to see the progress, even if it is flucuating. Like I said, you gave it the beat-down last year, and you'll do it again this year. No doubt.
  17. WooHoo! That's great news! Very happy for you all
  18. Shane, I admit you are better than I am. But I know something you don't know...I am not left handed. Great job and really funny. Definitely a winner.
  19. Robb, you've got my support. You did it last year and you'll do it again this year. No doubt. Kick A$$ and take names!
  20. 3 Double Cheese Krystals, Large Dr. Pepper, and bottles of Pepsi and Dr. Pepper. Yes, my lunch and groceries are Tatum approved! Lol! EDIT: Helps to put the price, huh? $10 roughly.
  21. What cracked me up was the back end of the buggy on some magnets and shirts. There's no shortage of jokes and innuendo to be had. And I thought Virginia was for lovers! Glad to bring some levity to everyone's day and thank you for the views and comments.
  22. More cheeky proof that crack is bad for you and things don't turn out right in the end. No butts about it.
  23. Glad to see the road show doing so well and the jabs between you and Shane are a hoot! Good laughs! The guy in the pic is wearing armor from War Hammer 40K. It's a fantasy/strategy role playing game, kinda like D&D. Yes, your world is complete now. Lol! As for sweater vs. jersey, it's a tomayto, tomauto thing. We called 'em both when I played. Guess it depends on the region. Anyway congrats on another milestone!
  24. I vote for old school Catwoman. Hellooooo Julie Newmar! Well, Rita over in England can't have all the fun.
