  1. DCA Anyone? Curious as this sounds, it'd be something new, and hey, why not? If the plan calls, the waterpark will be AMAZING!
  2. Glory Be! It's another PTR from cfc! And it's a good one at that. Dollywood just has a great atmosphere....and I'm dying to try the food everyone raves about. pianojohn - Things are hectic here as well, otherwise, I'd gladly meet up...and eat...a lot. Anyway, have a great time, and if something changes, I'll pm you.
  3. I think it's wonderful that they're going to expand the Raging Rapids and add Donkey themeing. Well, a fellow can dream, can't he?
  4. Excellent! Excellent! Very well, here is my official cabinet photo... Still don't have a clue to what a Royal Viseer does, other than Visee things. Well, if it doesn't work out, there always "Minister of Wetness".
  5. niiicolaaah, that is awesome! It also underscores just how long many of you have known each other. About 15 years ago, I had a huge SooperDooperLooper brown button, an Epcot patch, Roman Rapids Patch, Star Tours button, and something else, and debated about doing the patch jacket thing. Just got lazy and never did. Fast foward to present, there have been more than a couple times the idea of putting buttons or patches on my hat have been awfully tempting. If that ever happens, I'll get pics so we can all have a good laugh of it.
  6. This feels odd to me. Not bad, just odd. There's a certain feel/charm/style that BGE has, and though it's Euro themed, Sesame Street just doesn't seem to fit well. Eh, I'll just buy my Elmo souvenir beer stein and enjoy riding Grover.
  7. The constants of life. Death. Taxes. Patch Jackets. Mullets. PMW.
  8. So can I be Royal Viseer? Up to now I've been just a Royal Pain in the Arse. They have Royal Viseers in modern politics, right?
  9. Hey, thanks for the kind words all. This one truly was a random thrown to tether with no thought kind of thing. Good to see other Bettie Fans too. Since you're all dying to know (yeah not really, but play along anyway), the trip was so-so but ended up with a nice dinner with friends. Fine Birmingham wings and vast amounts of coke were consumed (the drink people, the drink). My friends Raymond and Paris (whom I was best man at their wedding) surprised me with a bottle of Brogans Irish Creme! This was a real treat considering my love of Bailey's and St. Brendon's. Once in a blue moon, a wee nip of either is a nice treat. Back to point, what a great gift from them and a cool way to end up a long and tiring day. Yeah, I'm really a lucky guy. Again, thanks for the kind words. I'm grateful.
  10. So yeah, I can't sleep tonight and have to get up around 3:30 am for long day and photo shoot. Greeeeeaaat. I'm tired and punchy and trying to find some way to pass the time. Got the brilliant idea of a random TR. Fair warning: In my tired and silly state, this may be the most pointless TR (and I've posted some pretty pointless ones) I've ever subjected TPR to. However, I will try my best to make it a little entertaining, what with the crappy cell phone pics and all. Ready? Off we go! And we'll end this travesty with Pizza ERT. Thank you for reading pray I get some rest. ZOMG! Crangrape juice! And now for a fridge walkback. And a tasteful wine bottle crab to hold it. A nice chiaaaaanti. There's a reason I kept the blue bottle. Can you guess why? Kitchen themeing. 2007 Imbev Gardens map and 2006 Disneyland map on the side of my stylish fridge. Yep Imbev Gardens magnets and Bettie Page magnets too. Oh, and Visionland's Rampage. Hellloooooooo Nurse! Er, Kat. Who cares?! Yowza! Greetings mcjaco! General Grevious and Doc Ock approve. Speaking of Octopi, how's it going Dave and Falafel? BOOBS! I'm a Bettie Page fan. Represent, yo. ACEr's or coaster enthusiasts (or both). You decide. Bless you Robb for a great caption gimmick. "Wow! It's like an orgy of supports in here." Bless you Natalie for a great caption. Exlusive RapidsNerd apartment, ceiling staring PoV. You saw it here first folks. My displeasure. Man, I look fat and my nose is huge from this angle. Yep, the ladies are swooning now... My watch says 12 something. I should be sleeping, not taking pictures of my watch.
  11. Behemoth..wadda great coaster! Definately buying this video when it comes out. Cheers and best to everybody on the trip.
  12. If there's even the slightest chance of ANY site introducing something dangerous (virus, worm, security hole, Grace Jones in "View to a Kill") on to the same defense network that soldiers/sailors/marines use for vital mission info, it's likely to get blocked. I accidentally stirred a hornets nest for downloading a few pictures from CoasterNet.com about a year and a half ago. The pics were innocent shots from 2 Frenchmen who toured the US east coast. Apparently, when I saved said pictures, this set off a flag in Washington DC, who contacted our local IT and said "Talk to this guy, NOW". A couple tense days and MANY security meetings later, I was cleared and thankfully NOT fired. The IT guy explained that the network I was on was the same used by soldiers in Iraq. It can't have problems. Period. If it does, and they don't get vital info, it could cost lives, hence the multiple freak outs. The pictures I downloaded *could have* (but didn't after scanning) potentially virused the network and/or crippled it. It's a bummer and I feel for you friend.
  13. Bless you sir! Glad you two had a good time there and your adventures are always an entertaining read. Got a good laugh out of the buckets captions too.
  14. I voted Beemer. How can you go wrong with leadership of that high calibur?
  15. This TR is a winner because it has 4 of my favorite things: Rapids, Funnel Cakes, Joker, and Goliath. Well done!
  16. Wow it's like a bondage club full of support wires in here? Natalie, it's official. You now have a signature element that sets apart your TRs. The "Orgy of Support" pic. Great read and pics as always.
  17. Guy, I always enjoy reading your TRs. Quality stuff!
  18. So the day was awash huh? Glad noone, especially the kiddies, was seriously hurt.
  19. Checking out theme parks in Second Life. Yeah I said that with a straight face....
  20. I thought ninjas at first, but then remembered "Multi-Faith ERT" and figured Muslim or similar. A skunk eh? And we all thought Hypersonic was the only stinker at KD.
  21. Holiday World was testing Twitter a while back. Maybe it'll stay on or something similar with que on cell phones will be the free service. If the new ride is a drop tower, please, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT DOES NOT SUCK..... RTFM (For the record: Good sense runs deep with our friends at Holiday World.)
  22. Great update all! Was cracking up at Tyler and Jahan on the Star Flyer and second the excellent choice of the indoor bbq grill. Good planning for an emergency wings craving. Glad things are going well and have a great time in Williamsburg. Say hello to Roman Rapids for me.
  23. At first, the wurst and the cheese types were questionable, as was the lack of sauce, but, the end result looks really tasty. Slight off topic, Joe you were thought of while passing the Jack Daniels restaurant up at the Opryland Hotel. Reminded me of the Beer Steak episode. Disaster or not, always good to see Cooking With Joe.
  24. Dude! I'll check that out. There's an old Curtis Mayfield song I've been trying to figure out for years that was in a Snoop Doggy Dog video. He drives up in some convertible, pimpin of course, and has this awesome funk song playing. All I know is that it's Curtis Mayfield, but no luck on title. Ginzo, thanks for that suggestion! Lol! Guess I'm old because I associate him with Shaft in stead of Chef. Aww, thanks for all the posts folks. EDIT: Ginzo, checked out Superfly soundtrack. It is indeed funktacular. Make me want another copy of Mothership Connection.
  25. Hey, this might turn out to be wheelie good when the get around to it.
