Update: New for 2006! Psyco Spin and Tidal Force! Unfortuanately, Psyco Spin was a complete bomb. The only riders in the entire season were credit whores, and even THEY hated it. Infuriated, Cedar Fair withdrew it's ownership of Legacies, dismantalling Psyco Spin, and taking back most of the workers and the towers as they left. Now the park is back in it's owners hands, but they have little to no funds left to fix their attractions...

Well, I had origionally planned that Cedar Fair is eventually gonna ditch the park and let it finish blosomming on its own (while retaining its old charm...) Just let them have another update before the fall from Grace...Also, Ill make the next shots on paint into jpgs for you guys...

I dunno. I tried that once, and it REALLY blurs the images....

Well, whenever they sell em, just call me >.> Oh yeah, great TR I guess... -
It all started back in 2002, when a group of enthusiests pulled their efforts together deep in the woods. They managed to create a small, but sturdy wooden coaster they named Project: Wildcat. http://www.uploadengine.com/getfile.php?file=1135551895CA141.bmp As a few years past, people began to come, and even pay to ride this hidden credit. Eventually, the origional owners had enough to make the ride more professional, and buy a merry-go-round and a few concession stands. http://www.uploadengine.com/getfile.php?file=1135551776CDC18.bmp Within a year, A few coaster chains spotted this hideaway in the woods, and began to fight over it. Eventually Cedar Fair won, and immediately gave the park a large grant, and built a parking lot and roadway to the park. What resulted was a house designed-but Intamin built rocket coaster, as well as a few other rides... http://www.uploadengine.com/getfile.php?file=1135552605E38C3.bmp Now, its 2006, and construction has began on the border of the official park property...Though the area is fenced off, guests have seen the crests of the hills already. It appears that Legacies' next expansion will feature a water ride, and a spinning wild mouse... http://www2.uploadengine.com/getfile.php?file=1135694761D8350.bmp --- Im not going to post the download till the park is finished. For now, enjoy the screens...

The "Official" TPR Returns To Asia Ongoing TR!
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ah...nothing like spending the holidays with a bunch of Asians and their cloaking devices eh? Although, for some reason, I actually see people in these photos aside from you guys and park workers. Maybe the cloaks went out of fashion this year? Also, is it just me or does HKDL look a bit lonely? The rides are few and scattered. There isnt even a BTM Oh well, hope you guys are having fun! What parks do you plan to visit in 2006?
Reon replied to coasterguy618's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Updated version... 100% PKI 90% CP (Senior trip while all the underclassmen are taking finals^^) WDW (Second annual steel band trip. We might even perform if they approve our tape^^) 70% (Planned roadtrip, but I need some insight on if it will work or not) CP-GL-Kennywood-HP-Knoebles-SFGAdv-DP-GL-Home Any oppinions on that selected route? I figure I could buy a CP/GL/DP pass for all the CF proporties... -
I tend to like themed queus because they give you something to do while you wait. I think my favorite would be outer limits for having that interactive movie on loop, plus all the UFOness. Ofcourse, close behind are TR:TR and DD. DT also had a good theme'd queu, but it was more like one to make fun of for crappy graffics....

Most Excited About?
Reon replied to coasterguy618's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As far as my chances on riding goes, Kentucky Rumbler or Voyage for 2 reasons. 1. Close to my choice college that I have a chance of getting into (NKU) 2. Gives me a reason to visit each park. Then again, Im planning a roadtrip next year that will ultimately land in SFGAdv, so El Toro is up there aswell... Also, my definate new credit will be Avitar, simply because PKI is my homepark....dunno if I should be exited about it or not though, since no details have been anounced for it. -
Your coaster 2005 season highlights
Reon replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
first and last coaster of the season: VorteX Highlights: *First rocket (StormRunner), followed almost immediately by Dragster *Got enough air on Cyclop's first drop to go over the seat divider and land on the other side of the bench, where I spent the rest of my ride. *Second trip to CP *Rode Hades, nuff said. Also IJST, which was far worse, but still had it's moments. *Finally got to IoA after years of waiting (although that trip was technically december of 2004...) *Doubled my coaster count. Favorite rides of the year: *Vortex *Hershey Wildcat *Hades *Cyclops *Stormrunner *Millenium Force -

Expedition Evergreen..not Everest
Reon replied to DegoRed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
One problem: I cant get to the site. Whenever I go to it, theres just a message that says Please visit our sponsors below. (Opens new window) . Theres no clickables, and even if I wait a little, it doesnt change...Cant you host the images somewhere else? -
Major props for oppening my homepark video with the best ride there IMO. You could've accented a bit more on the airtime you get on that thing though, but theyre just minor details so I wouldnt worry about it. Ive been to PKI and SFKK, so I know you got most of the good parts of both parks. For SF, I wouldve recomended recording one of the splashes from their flume ride (The waves go past the turn around.) Hmm...how far would you say Holiday world is from PKI?

*Cyclops' last drop, although the first is equally insane-if not more- IMO. *HP Wildcat in general. Nice and twisted, yet packed with some nice air. *Vortex's first drop.Yeah its a first drop, but how can you ignore that delicious floater air comming down it? *King Cobra (RIP) drop into helix. You just get ejected at the crest, then are suspended in the air as you fly sideways, landing back in your seat midway through the curve. *Hades in the tunnel. Gotta love not knowing when the pop kicks in...
-
Overrated *Beast. It was good at some time, but the brakes COMPLETELY kill it. It still has some moments, but its still nothing to me now. *Mean Streak. I used to envy this ride since my dad once knew Summers. After this year's trip to CP, I completely changed my mind...almost all the airtime was gone, and it was just SOOO rough >.< *TTD. I do like the ride, and love the sensations it provides, but yeah. Too short...especially after riding StormRunner earlier this year... Underrated *Vortex. Even after going to Hershy and CP this season, Vortex is still one of my faves. Sure its an old beat up arrow, but the air it provides is pure bliss, especially going down the innitial drop and the corkscrews (for best effect, remember to ride in back.) *Cyclops. I never see this ride discussed enough. Im sure Balder blows it out of the water, but still. There are reasons why you shouldn't ride this till your old enough to hit it in the back. In a word, this ride is PURE AIRTIME! Seriously. Over each hill, you get launched up into the air, and dont come back down till you're at the next crest. And dont even get me started on what you get when your going down the first and final drops... *HP Wildcat. Again, another ride that isnt discussed enough. Its twisted, moderately smooth, and filled with air. What more could you ask for from a woodie?

Italian Job Turbo Coaster 2006...
Reon replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From my rides at PKI, its nice, but not too much to brag about. The launch is a bit slow, but it's pretty smooth so it feels like your just accelerating in a car. The transition into the helix is definately one of the shining moments because of how banked it is, but the thrill starts to die out as you near the spiral's summit. The middle section is moderately fun with microscopic airtime. Its good/bad depending on how you view it. Once you get to the helicopter...its pure bliss if the effects work. You got fire bursting at you, and you may get wet...Then you once again get natural-accelerated launched into a tunnel. Think Flight of Fear black. The tunnel itself is pretty fun, but coming out into the final splashdown is lame. Thats just my review though, so dont take it if you dont want... -

What is the best coaster in your home park?
Reon replied to MattJackson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Homepark is PKI. Fave coaster is undoubtably VorteX. Fave flat there is...thats a tougher one. I could go for the classic monster or shake, rattle and roll. Then again, Drop Zone is nice, and although I despise its' soul for occupiing what used to be King Cobra (the best coaster in the park), Delerium is a nice ride aswell... -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Reon replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Only a rumor, but hopefully its true I've been waiting the day that PKI got an Intamin/BM...Also, I got my credit on the infernal torture device, so let it rot for all I care
