  1. SFKK is fairly small so I say its doable. It was a bit crowded when I went a few years ago, but that was a weekend I think. Also, no line was longer than a half hour even for that case. And Chang rocks
  2. I have an account..What makes you think that I dont? And what's this "stupidest thing ever?" Me wanting to make the ride? Or the fact that the steel drums might come first....
  3. Pepsi Python at Coney...Do I really need to say how it's sponsered?
  4. Eh. Its AIM. Grammer is practically nonexistant there>.> Anyways, I just pm'd you this on wws, but I might as well post it for all to see: A set of Mannette seconds costs about $2,550.00 Painted, or $3,075.00 chromed according to the site. I could find em cheaper, but I want them to be atleast moderate quality>.> Plus Mannete basically invented the version I play, so gotta buy it from the source ya know...I could still work on wildcat from the shadows, but it'll only be inch by inch...
  5. 6. PESPSI PYTHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! *and the crowd goes wild* http://rcdb.com/ig406.htm Coney Island is about 15 minutes from me. Im trying to land a ride-op job this summer...And maybe record a pov for ya'll? Next closest is Beast (closest coaster to my direction, PKI is about 30 minutes from me)
  7. 2008: With the recent revival of Legacies, and Carnivale's huge sucsess, both park flourished during their 2007 seasons. Eventually they both had enough for a moderately large expansion. For Legacies, they began to cut down trees to expand their version of Project Wildcat. Carnivale had a much graeter success... *Added spook, a dark ride through Legacies manor. Jump aboard to tour the mansion, then get sucked away into a demonic realm. Can you escape? *A few flats added, included a spin and puke that interacts with Wildcats pre-lift sequence. *In Boomerang's old area, a kiddie coaster was constructed. Named Candy Cane Crush, this ride was an immediate success... Spook and the forest around Wildcat's helix. If you remember my last update, these were planted last year, and are now in full bloom. Candy Cane Crush Overview.
  8. Thats what I thought. Wasnt sure if you painted wood, or just stole barriers...
  9. Realisticly speaking, mine would be around myhouse. In the side yard by the patio, I could probabbly fit a chaos and another flat ride...In the backyard strip would go Project wildcat, but I think you know about that already. Inside would be an Arcade (I already have the arcade ddr pads etc), and maybe bumper cars in the storaage room (like we really ever use it...) Ofcoures I'd want to buy out some of the surrounding houses for other coasters, but lets not get in over our heads...
  10. Just a quick question: what kind of wood did you use for structering the track? Just the part that the car rides on...*needs to know incase this option is cheaper than making a bobsled*
  11. Grr. I remember you from the origional backyard coaster thread. It's amazing how much progress youve made. As for me, I'm still debating on layouts Ah well, looks like fun so far...Nice job
  12. Dont forget the Producers!
  13. Sorry for the dp, but this is an aim convo between my and my co-designer/friend, talking about whats going to happen...Thought it would be a nice update... === GuyverX0 (4:01:07 PM): a sled coaster would work for you reonskyridge (4:01:40 PM): im thinking we could build it with sheet plywood, and use a skateboard as the car GuyverX0 (4:01:50 PM): yeah we could GuyverX0 (4:02:16 PM): but we would have to brace it, and buy a skateboard to convert to a car reonskyridge (4:03:48 PM): i already have 2 oldschool boards reonskyridge (4:03:57 PM): their big and only have one tail GuyverX0 (4:04:09 PM): cool GuyverX0 (4:04:16 PM): we could mebbe use one of them GuyverX0 (4:04:21 PM): if its big enough... reonskyridge (4:04:30 PM): one of em should be GuyverX0 (4:04:35 PM): k reonskyridge (4:04:51 PM): im thinking we build it like an alpine slide reonskyridge (4:05:05 PM): starts at the top of the hill, then snakes down through the trees GuyverX0 (4:05:06 PM): hm... GuyverX0 (4:05:24 PM): you could almost do a water coaster if you do it that way reonskyridge (4:05:29 PM): not nessicarily full curcuit, but still reonskyridge (4:05:36 PM): a water coaster? GuyverX0 (4:05:40 PM): but then you have to take a board and turn it into a waterproof car GuyverX0 (4:05:46 PM): which wouldnt be hard GuyverX0 (4:05:54 PM): neither would construction GuyverX0 (4:06:04 PM): it would take more plywood and real boards reonskyridge (4:06:07 PM): mhm reonskyridge (4:06:23 PM): i think we only need two layers of it though reonskyridge (4:06:32 PM): that worked when i built my halfpipe reonskyridge (4:06:46 PM): that got torn down when we moved back here T_T GuyverX0 (4:07:10 PM): well two layers works for sled GuyverX0 (4:07:20 PM): but for water we would need at least 4-5 reonskyridge (4:07:33 PM): water isnt worth it GuyverX0 (4:08:17 PM): well normal sled coaster would be 2 in straightaways, and 3-4 in corners and places that recieve heavy strain reonskyridge (4:08:32 PM): mhm reonskyridge (4:08:47 PM): but the turns will be tight if this weaves the way i recorded it GuyverX0 (4:08:59 PM): exactly, so you need about 4 on those turns GuyverX0 (4:09:19 PM): after building make sure to waterproof it GuyverX0 (4:09:28 PM): ESPECIALLY if its a sled reonskyridge (4:10:50 PM): hmm reonskyridge (4:10:58 PM): half the ride will be under trees though GuyverX0 (4:11:14 PM): water cna go under trees reonskyridge (4:11:23 PM): k reonskyridge (4:11:32 PM): what do you suggest we do to waterproof? GuyverX0 (4:11:44 PM): buy a good sealant reonskyridge (4:12:05 PM): remember this will be covering around 100 feet of track GuyverX0 (4:12:05 PM): and when you arent using it, have lots of tarps to cover it GuyverX0 (4:12:09 PM): yeah GuyverX0 (4:12:20 PM): get 100 gallos of water sealant GuyverX0 (4:13:01 PM): cuz regardless, whatever happens, you dont want this thing to warp
  14. ^It actually depends on the method. When your using all those planks, YES! However, if you use plywood sheets, its alot easier. All you have to do is cover up the support sturcture (since its so easy to shape.) Then just layer it for strength. I use this method to make skateboard ramps, and eventually for Project Wildcat, if I make it a bobsled...Back on topic, I cant wait for this thing to open! I havent really been on an authentic version (I wont count DT)
  15. Not yet. Im actually at a bit of a crossroads. First of all, Im debating what I should do with my money. I can either make this thing, or buy some steel drums (since I'm forming a band with some friends.) Secondly, if I do go through with this, I've still got to consult with my folks which layout to build. I've stored a few options on my new cameraphone, but unfortunately I dont know how to scan them to the comp....
  16. I have to get this off my back. You cant just plop a bunch off twisted rides down and call it a park. Sure you need some thrillers, but theres a certain art to making rides. You have to make it pleasing to the eye by themeing it, and not making EVERY one a jumble'd speghetti bowl. Also, you need some flats to warm people up and cool them down before and after the ride. Not everyone is a thrillseeker you know. If you want an example of how to do this, check out my Legacies series. Its a realistic setting that still provides thrills for the whole family...

  18. As Legacies finally made their comeback in 2007, both their origional and newest branch flourished. While Legacies constructed a new wildmouse, Carnivale touched up on a few things. First of all, the ugly boomerang in the corner was removed to fund further advancements. Spokesmen say there will be something there in the near future, but the announcement remains a mystery. Meanwhile in Wildcat's corner, station work has been done, a new bumper car complex has been added, and some trees were planted. They are expected to be in full bloom around wildcat next year.... Project Wildcat's stationwork Another view of the plaza. Ze bumper complex. Note how close it gets to wildcat. Overview...
  19. Themeing But seriously, the lack of theming there is for a reason. If you saw the first Legacies park, you'd notice that they took a big chunk of forest land and built everything with that lumber. In this case, the origional plot of land was barron, and thus there wasnt much to work with. Anyways, I'm thinking of taking out that ugly boomerang that I put in to keep attendance up, now that I got some other big attractions. Problem is I dont know what to put there. Remember that Legacies is a small company, so they dont have the greatest budget....
  20. Once more, year old downloaded scenerey. Forgot whose, but plenty of people make this set...
  21. Well if you read the full article, the school already made two before it. (Strange that neither have any pics) I'm sure their rideable if they can do that. It just goes to show that anyone can make real rides. (and at $5000 its not THAT bad...compared the million dollar thrillers we ride)
  22. Mhm. My first time playing with something other than standard scenery too...
  23. Thank you for triple posting on Air Reon. The walls are origoinal set, and some carnival set I downloaded over a year ago...
  24. I guess we'll just have to go to Cedar Point at some point and prove them wrong! --Robb Last week of May. I'm planning a senior (steel band members) trip up there during exam week. (seniors leave a week early). Maybe we can make it a big TPR/Class of '06 trip? --Jared"Second annual Steelband invasion coming soon to a park near...me I guess"
  25. Havent been to SF or Timber Falls yet, but I can give you the 411 on Mt O and CP. First up, Olympus... *Cyclops: Dont know about what you guys have in the UK, but this thing has INSANE airtime. Sit in the backseat to see for yourself. The ride is pretty sweet anyways, now that it rides through the other giants (Zues and Hades) *Zues: Honestly, this latest expansion killed it. The lost in the woods feeling is COMPLETELY gone, and even riding backseat, I no longer feel air. Dont get me wrong, its still a nice ride. I just refuse to rate it over the other rides there... *Hades: Airtime, twists, and the double pitch black tunnel of death. There is nothing wrong with this ride. When I rode, it was still brand new, so I dont know all of its kinks yet. Anywhere on the train makes for a good ride though. *Pegasus: Actually a nice little kiddy woodie. Theres moderate airtime, and it gives you a good view of some kart tracks... *Posiden and Little Titans: Havent ridden yet (closed down...) *Cart tracks: Two of the best tracks there are the Trojan horse and Atlantis (the one by Hades with airtime) Most of the tracks are nice though, so just hit whatever you can. *Other rides: Havent hit yet. I plan on going back to Mt O asap to hit the new additions... Hotelwise in the Dells, forget the Motel 6. This place is running wall to wall with waterpark hotels and such. Just treat yourself to Great Wolf or something.... (CP review to be eddited in in a while. Time on comp just ran out for now...)
