Always nice to see someone report on how much Cyclops pwns Adventureland looks nice too. Any chance of getting a pov of Outlaw anytime? Or shots of more than just the first two drops? -
Most underated woodies

Cyclops at Mt Olympus. Even though its structure is overshadowed by Hades and Zues, Cyclops is my favorite coaster there. INSANE airtime, and you dont know where you're going. Dodgeing in and out of Zues's structure adds to that effect... Also, Its my undisputed favorite woody. Jared"Zues does nothing for me"Becker -

I liked it better with the 'screws... -
Mmmm, sexy sword chick But back on topic, I'm not the biggest waterpark enthusiast, but I will go if it's part of a park or if its famous (Noah's Ark, Schlitterbahn, etc) If I ever go to Canada, I'll be sure to hit this place. It looks simply incredible!

*cough*California Screamin' (launched looper)*cough*Aquatrax*cough*Impulse*cough*Volcano (inverted)*cough* Ooh, I should really get that cough looked at. Yeah, I relized that after I posted, but never got around to edditing it. But knowing that, it still isnt that limited to Aquatrax and wing walker. It can be the same type Cali Screamin' is, exept with a much more twisted layout etc... -

*gasps for air* You...didn't even MENTION Vortex. Other than that blasphomy, I agree with your oppinions on all points other than Delerium's existance. BRING BACK THE COBRA! -
WTF?! The Vortex is a little bit rought, but have you been on it?! I live 3 min away and i have rode in every seat and ridden the coaster over 200 times! I ride it 3 days ago and dude, it does not bash you. It is my fav woodie and it ripps up Thunderhead. That's what I'm saying. Compared to Beast, which is overrated but still fun if you find the right seat, Vortex is smooth as a baby's bottom. And yes, I am a Vortex fanboy.
-
So...Vortex bashes you to death, and Beast doesnt? What crack are you smoking? I realise Vortex got a bit rough, but...Beast...That thing is almost as bad as his son if you sit in the right seat...

Yeah. I watched that during an earlier showing. I think it was an old show since it showed alot of opening day footage, and none of their MoA shots had the new coaster in them. I'm guessing they caught SoB rather than an Intamin because: 1. AMERICAN made, as opposed to Intamin making stuff over in Europe. 2. The amount of wood needed to construct it.

Hmmm. The scheme is almost identical to Stormrunner. Deffinately an indication that this coaster will take a similar direction (lots of inversions and twists.) I'm with you guys on the wingwalker theory, since Intamin doesn't do any other types of LIM/LSM coasters (aside from reverse freefall) -

What concept video? I just went to the Intamin site, and I found nothing. No mention of the wingwalker at all... -
I've been looking for that for a while Back on topic, the first drop on Cyclops. I know the last ravine one is a beast, but still. If you sit in the back, you WILL float from the left side of the seat over the divider, and into the right. Honorable mentions go to the first drop of Vortex, and the helix drop of TOGO standups. Nice floater air on each of them.

Well then maybe THAT's the record! I mean, they cant fit highest or fastest, they might be able to do most inversions, but what about highest inversions? -
I didnt even notice untill I looked at this thread. WTF? *puts tomestone in backyard with 'donkey' engraved on it*

New Park Ideas Needed!!!! (RCT3)
Reon replied to Dancingcoaster's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Heres a coaster that I thought of and never persued (and never shall, since my RCT2 disk somehow got scratched...) Basically, for theme/concept think EE exept different. The ride starts out as your vehicles crawl into a cave at the bottom of a mountain. Once their completely surrounded by dark, the plunge down a small yet steep drop, and go into a few sharp turns.(Illusion of the monster pulling you into it's lair.) After turning so that your parallel to the cave entrance, you fly out onto the lift hill via an extra exit. The lift is slow, but takes you up pretty high. Once you get to the top, you hear a roar, and fly down the mountain (you can use a BM launch at the tip, but it really isnt needed...) The 'big drop' consists of the track following some rocky terrain, swerving left and right (sort of zig-zag, double-downish...) After a big swooping turn around, you face towards the mountain, where you see the monster's mouth inviting you in. The train plunges up into the mouth, and the main underground section begins. Here you have some freedom. The basic concept is your 'fighting' the monster in this section, so make lots of unexspected hills, turns, and (if you make it steel) inversions. Eventually, you do an upwards helix, and burst out of the mountain, at around station height. At this point, you should be heading around the main drop, and gradually slowing down as you turn around the mountain and back towards the station. But that's just an idea you can use...
