  1. SoBsux(which it does), I cant believe you actually supported PKI! I could see them with a good steel combo (Vortex, IJ:ST, um...KC ), but WOOD!? Heres my oppinion on PKI's woodies Beast: Meh. All it has is the whole "in the woods Im gonna die thing" but it gets old fast. The ride has no exitement in it aside from the last tunnel. I admit I enjoy it from time to time, but thats it... SoB: I think your SN pretty much sums it up. UBER-roughness+bunny hills that produce NO air=only worth riding for a credit, and a headache. Racer: While I'll give it credit for it's history, this thing needs SERIOUS reprofiling. Whenever I ride it, I have to sit down for a few minutes afterward, since it brings so much pain...It has a tiny bit of airtime, but not enough to make the ride worthwhile for me... As for you, DE, I'll have you know that Wildcat is one of my favorite woodies right now...
  2. Counting rides still in opporation 1. Millienium Force (aka M-force)-Awesome techno theme in station that I rave to+near-vertical 300ft drop+3 overbanks+nice layout+unique ejector air+2 tunnels= the winner 2. Cyclops-Great Layout, INSANE air during the ENTIRE ride (for me atleast) 3. TTD/SR (Tie)-TTD...well, theres just something about getting hurled 420ft in the air at 120mph...As for SR, its like TTD, exept it has a layout beyond the tophat. 4. Vortex (PKI)-Probbably the only reason I come back to PKI each year. Insane air for a looper (your guarenteed atleast 2 pops regaurdless of where you sit) Especially that first drop..you just float down it! 5. Wildcat (HP)-Very twisted layout filled with great airtime, but its nothing compared to what I get on Cyclops. 6. Hades-I rode it before its glory really began to sink in, but its still great. The underground section....just pure bliss and chaos. All I need to say! It lacks airtime though...(like I said, I rode it while it was still just opening) 7. Gravitrons (in general)-If you arent familiar with them, its basically the greatest flat ride ever. You spin so fast that gravity fails you completely. You can climb on the walls, hang upsidedown, take a nap...ANYTHING! Its just a great experience... 8. Magnum XL 200-Nice airtime coaster. Plus its the first REAL hyper I've ridden (I dont count SoB, cuz it sucked) 9. Chaos' (in general)- You just get flipped around in so many directions at the same time...Nothing beats self-opporated mayham 10. IJ:ST-While it isnt the greatest ride, it has its moments. The FX are nice, especially during the explosion scene (when they work.) The helix and the s-bend before the stairs give you a nice whip, and the tunnel is nice. if defunct rides wer included, knock everything down one slot and put King Cobra at the top of the list...
  3. Coney Island Ohio. I dont care that they arent the greatest rides, but the way they run them...you can stay on for multiple cyles and they dont care. Not to mention the cycles themselves are pretty long. Also, best bumpers Ive been on. The floor is slippery enough to "skate" to your car, and once the ride ends, sometimes a car still goes for a while. I remember when my friend's was still moving, so I jumped off mine, and latched onto his while he glided around.
  4. Layout so far: *fancy dark ride section *themed(?) launch *reverse stormrunner tophat *camel hump 1 *some sort of helix (I presume) *camel 2... even if thats the entire ride, its still pretty kick arse! too bad it aint in the us...
  5. Ive only been on 2 (SFKK and HP) Out of them, I'd say the later. Theres just something about it being placed on top of the hill with low ground surrounding it that adds to the exitement.... Oh, and PKI (or Coney Island OH) needs a mouse. Preferabbly a spinner, since I havent done one yet...
  6. I like how no one noticed the first 2 or 3 topics bout this ride, but as soon as there was a vid... As for the ride itself, looks a bit short, but fast. The restraints are nice too..
  7. Mt. Olympus for having sweet cart tracks, Hades, and obviously Cyclops. Move those and StormRunner to CP and BAM! Best US park ever. Also, take some gravitron and put it there, just for good measures. And maybe a wild mouse and PKI's Vortex too...
  8. ...Then we'd have to gauge out our eyes If it were ME on the other hand... .... ...you all would spontaneously combust.
  9. Exacly what I was gonna say...I dont enjoy Zues (I get no air on it ) But Cyclops is #1 on my wood list, while Hades is #3. Need I say anymore? Jared"yay I agree with the admins, and it wasnt on purpose"Becker
  10. Yet another great update (Ive been following along, but not posting...until now.) Im suprised that you didnt think Express would be fun. Its looked like a nice ride to me, ever since I saw the shots of it from the official Pinfari site. I guess its because of SLC's but I dont actually mind those things (probbly cuz I ride with my head out of the banging zone^^) Aaaanyway, great update. Only thing I havent enjoyed in your tr's so far is the goatage, just cuz I feel unconfortable around them, but thats a personal issue I guess *shudders* Jared"scraping the shit off his shoes"Becker
  11. ^my favorite sbemail ever. Even better than Trogdor and the others...Seriously, the first time I saw that, I couldnt stop laughing for about an hour...Okay, maybe I exaggerated just a little, but still, that thing is lmao quality. As for avis, Im afraid the boobs have me @.@;;;;
  12. Personally, I was looking for coaster photos when I came across this fine establishment. I read a few ptr and I was hooked...I love the videos too... (put down from other site...probbly TN)
  13. I actually emailed GCI a few weeks ago about this, but I havent gotten a reply yet. I think I'll try to work with mechanical engineering, cuz Im looking at designing the car/track, not the supports or anything. I actualy hope Miami has a good class for this, because all signs point to Miami being my school of choice so far...Of course going to some out of state college might be nice (new scenery, but more importantly new parks to visit during spring/summer breaks) Either way, Im about to read that article. Thanks for everybody's help so far... Edit: this part of the article summerizes what my parents want me to do (and I agree with) "I come up with basic ideas for the concept, and it is then over to others (architects, civil engineers, structural & mechanical engineers, etc. etc.)"
  14. ... 1) I only way about 110, and Im old enough to ride in the back. I'm basically bouncing in and out of my seat the entire ride. As for the 2 spots of air, I get so much air coming off the lift, I actually go over the seat divider, and spend the rest of the ride there. I almost get enough air to float back over on the drop infront of the station. 2) Even though its only a figure-8 layout (approximately), the way it weaves in and out of the other coasters there makes it seem like a twister. I guess its all a matter of perspective...
  15. Yeah. I know its hard to find the right major. Actually, so far Ive been hearing civil engineering from alot of people. Mechanical is new to me. Oh well, if I cant get in for this career, I can always take computer programing and design video games (coaster sims perhaps?) Edit: as for schools, UC has a pretty good program for engineering, but I havent checked for mechanical yet. Same goes for Miami University (Oxford Ohio...)
  16. My views on the list catagories... Thunderhead: never ridden it, but I think Cyclops is infinately better (gotta love a compact twister packed with immense airtime throuout the entire ride) M-Force: Obviously I havent been privellaged enough to ride every steel in america yet, but M-Force is easily one of my faves. Not sure if it's #1 yet, but definately one of my favorites this season (now known as year of the Intamin, since I rode so many of em this year: including M-Force, TTD, SR,WT, and Drop Zone) CP: *points at sig* need I say it? Schlitterbahn: Never been there, though I hope to go next time I visit my cousins in Texas. Best Kids park: never been Friendliest staff: Never been to HW, but CP staff was pretty friendly, so I can agree with them being on the list... The rest of the list, I didnt look at...
  17. Hey. I'm a senior now at high school, so I've been looking for colleges and such. My question is this: what major(s) would I need to go into the field of rollercoaster design, or something along those lines? Also, any suggestions on what college to go to? (sorry if this is in the wrong section...)
  18. The ride sounds great! Too bad the site is down for maintanance...Oh well *brushes up on some cheesy austrailian accent* when shall I book the flight?
  19. Because they replaced my cobra, not Huss. Im not saying that I loathe Delerium, just that I despise anyone who replaces one of my fave coasters of all time...And while I love troika's, frisbees, and top spins, Chaos is probabbly my favorite flat ever, so Chance wins automatically.
  20. First off, launch coaster backwards= no. I cant imagine how many necks would break. That being said, perhaps make it like TNT, where some rows face forwards, and others backwards...
  21. Heh. Sounds like you got to have fun AND meet the Alveys. I must say that Im both jelous of you, and pleased. Oh well, the only important thing is you got to ride the uber-air machine known as Cyclops (you DID ride back seat, right?) Regaurdless, I cant wait to go back to the Dells. Hopefully next time I can spend more than a few hours, so I can hit Avalanche, and maybe whore in the other credits there in the Dells...But yeah. VIVA LA MT OLYMPUS! (and more specificly Cyclops) Jared"Cyclops is my solid #1 woodie to date"Becker
  22. One of them should go to Coney Island or PKI. I need some reason to go back to them next season. Plus it would be a more convinient move just to take them down the state...
  23. My problem is I accidently formated my comp wrong so I cant upload or download RCT3 files. I can still give and recieve RCT2 files though...
  24. For me, SoB is just highly overrated. First of all, despite there being a few bunny hills, the ride provides NO AIR....and Ive ridden it from all the seats...Secondly, while I can appreciate roughness, wooden chaos does not mix with 200ft+ height and speed...Finally, your mom XD. Im not saying SoB is a bad ride (heck its #5 on my wood list), Im just saying its highly overrated....
  25. wood 1. Cyclops 2. Wildcat (HP) 3. Hades 4. Blue Streak 5. Son of Beast Steel 1. King Cobra 2. StormRunner/Dragster (tie) 3. Millenium Force 4. VorteX (PKI) 5. Magnum
