  1. Don't worry Soren, I think I have ya topped. I live in the U.S. and I've never had White Castle.
  2. That's not entirely true. I've been working on the ride all summer. Yes, we have many new rules mandated by either Intamin or the park that have slowed the capacity down a little, however, it is nowhere near 400 pph. It's actually about 900-1000 pph. If people would listen to us when we ask them to try the test and when we ask them to get rid of their lose articles, they wouldn't have this problem. Sorry MagnumForce, that rant is by no means directed toward you. It doesn't matter though, 'cause I don't work there anymore anyway! Nevertheless, MF does usually have the longest line so I would head there first or get a FreeWay stamp at 11 o' clock. If you decide to go with the FreeWay on MF and you won't be staying all day, I would consider hitting Raptor first because the line is almost always during the morning and afternoon. One little note: MaXair's line is never as long as it looks. It's often out the entrance, but the park didn't build hardly any queues so the wait is usually no more than half an hour.
  3. I'm white. Irish actually! Scott "Kiss Me" Parrish
  4. This is always hard. Here it goes: Wood 1. Hades 2. Shivering Timbers 3. Avalanche 4. Georgia Cyclone 5. Texas Giant 6. Legend 7. Villain 8. Beast 9. Raven 10. Cornball Express Honorable mentions: Cyclops, Son of Beast, Viper, Boss, Big Dipper (GL) Steel 1. Phantom's Revenge 2. Raptor 3. Millennium Force 4. Apollo's Chariot 5. Top Thrill Dragster 6. Flight of Fear 7. Alpengeist 8. Dominator 9. Titan 10. Raging Bull Honorable mentions: Mr. Freeze, X-Flight, Vortex (PKI), Magnum XL-200
  5. I honestly love the rocket coaster, but its not meeting my hopes yet. Right now, the rides are just too short. The only rocket that comes close to my expectations would be Storm Runner. Xcelerator is close, but pushing it. I don't want just one giant hill. I want a serious, long ride. I want to see somebody build a rocket coaster that is around 4000+ ft long, that doesn't go 400+ ft in the air.
  6. I play the guitar. I used to play the sax, though I'm still perfectly capable of playing. I just haven't picked one up in about 4 or 5 years.
  7. Ninja at SFOG and Son of Beast. Don't get me wrong, I'm not like in love with Ninja, but I thought it was a fun ride, and it takes a lot of crap... or at least used to. I love Son of Beast too. What an awesome ride, however, I do feel like I need my ribs glued back together when I'm done.
  8. Though the particular bathroom shot may have been slightly disturbing, I still busted out laughing at the fact that you guys did it. I've missed this site this summer (been slaving at CP). I really need to find a Carrabba's near here. My Carrabba's cherry still hasn't been popped.
  9. Millennium Force. Crew ride on my second to last day of work after the park had closed.
  10. ^A stunning 26-way tie! My favorite is easily O.A.R. Those guys are amazing. I'm not sure I'll ever find a band I like better than them. They are awesome song writers and put on an incredible show.
  11. Home fries are pretty good, but I must say, I'm a bigger fan of hashbrowns. I'm talkin' about straight up hashbrowns though. None of that McDonald's hashbrown cake crap.
  12. Well, technically it would be Cedar Point, but I'm not going to count that since I worked there all summer. The last park I went to would be Indiana Beach. What a weird little park. Neat though.
  13. It's been a while since I've been on the boards (been working at Cedar Point) so I'll post a few more photos. Ready for the showdown on the SFOT bumper cars. I landed my ball in the creek at Timber Falls.
  14. I agree, this place is awesome. I went this summer and I ate it up. It's such a fun little place. I didn't really expect it to be that busy. After all, it is a miniature golf course. I'm sure the rides are there just to put it above the other courses around. The wrist band is a steal, especially after 5. Unlimited rides on the log ride, Avalanche, and games of mini golf. It's a fun little stop, and as you said, the coaster is a walk on. Now about Avalanche! This is easily one of my favorite woodies and one of my all time favorite coasters period. I'm just mesmerized by watching it. It's not a big ride, but you would swear that it never loses momentum. And due to the tight space its in, there wasn't much room to elevate it, so everything is taken at lightning quick speed. The turns are insane, and the airtime is pretty awesome. This is a coaster that seriously needs more attention. It definately gives Hades a run for its money for the best coaster in WI. If you're ever in Wisconsin, hit the Dells up.
  15. Cedar Fair buying GL was a semi-descent decision executed very poorly. Closing the SeaWorld side was by far the dumbest move. Yeah, they can say they are adding a new, huge waterpark, but its not there yet. There is nothing bringing people in any more. If they want this park to succeed, they are going to have to treat it like it's full blown competition with Cedar Point. They need to add multiple rides that are monumental that CP doesn't have. If I had bought the park, I would have come at the Ohio competition like Six Flags did. They came in and built a slew of rides, including some that were unlike anything the area had ever seen before. The park itself is sad. It's a good park in poor condition. There are a lot of places in that park that could use some serious TLC. Once again, If you want it to succeed in the light of CP, you need to treat it like CP. Landscaping should be right up to par with the rest of the Cedar Fair Parks. Of the 4 CF parks I've been to, GL was the most neglected. Advertising is a joke. Take a drive through Cleveland and take a tally of how many CP billboards you see and how many GL billboards you see. I think by the time you've gotten to the other side of town, you will forgotten if you had even seen a GL billboard. Once again, just to beat the horse, it was a descent idea executed poorly. Let's recap what Cedar Fair did: -Bought the park -Tore out the WildLife side :? -Didn't add anything new after taking away a popular name (Six Flags) -Advertised poorly Right now, they are doing too little. The cheap price is great, but there needs to be more incentive.
  16. Dude, OAR rocks! It's nice to know that people still have good taste in music! For sure! I can't get enough of these guys. I've seen them four times now. They are just amazing live. I agree man, its nice to know people still have good music tastes! Well, to keep this on topic, I'll just post another one of my pics with one of the members (I have a pic with each one, except Jerry). Anyway, here I am with my girlfriend and Chris Culos, the drummer.
  17. I don't think heartlining would be too big of a deal in the case of most B&Ms. They don't do anything that is going to be very awkward for a sit down train. After all, though its not a B&M, there is a coaster at Yomiuriland that has both sit-down and stand up trains. Granted true, they don't negotiate the types of elements that B&Ms do, but the point is, I don't think the difference would be significant enough to notice. However, the big issues would be weight. There is a lot more to a stand-up train than there is to a floorless. A stand-up coaster is designed for the weight of a stand-up, so a floorless train might not work so well. But who knows, maybe that is something that isn't as significant as I think. If it can be done with regular sit down trains on a Togo, maybe it can happen on B&Ms. Not that it ever will, but we can dream. .
  18. TTD rolls back all the time. Unless they are having major problems getting it near or over the top, I'm sure it'll be open. I guess we can just hope and see. I'm headin' up to the park for the summer on Sunday.
  19. Thought I'd put up a few newer ones. Not that I've changed that much. -The first picture is me with the lead singer of my favorite band, O.A.R. -The next picture actually has a story to it. That is me with a revolving glass door at a mall in Chicago. A year ago, I walked through that door and the glass was so clear that I walked straight into it. I was really haulin' through there and when my head hit, I just about knocked myself out cold. I then about tripped inside the door when it swung around and hit me in the back of the feet. I ended up having a goose egg for three weeks after that incident. So, when I came back this year, I had to get a pic taken. -The last was taken a few weeks ago at Five Flags Kentucky Krapdom. Me and Marc Roberge of O.A.R. Five Flags Kentucky Krapdom Me and the infamous revolving glass door.
  20. I'm at 100 even. By the end of the summer year, it will about about 170. Hittin' up a lot of new parks this year.
  21. I've been an ACEr for a while now, but I don't act like an ACEr. I've actually never been to an event. I like being a part of it though 'cause the magazines are nice (even if they are late), the discounts are good, and every once in a while I get benefits like going to media days. I know media days aren't anything to special, but I enjoy them.
  22. "We Like To Party" is actually the song that Six Flags plays on all of their commercials. Another song I think would be good for a video is "Hey Driver" by Lucky Boys Confusion. They are a bit of a punk band and the song has a really good beat to it.
  23. The last coaster I rode was Chang about 3 weeks ago. Fortunately, I'm heading up to Cedar Point on Sunday, where I'll be the rest of the summer!
  24. Scaparri is actually my user name that IU gave me for school.
