And what's funny is I found the SATs to be a crapton harder than the PSAT. I didn't that bad, but they were still so much harder. Not to scare ya!

Cedar Point removes White Water Landing!
Scaparri replied to Real's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, it's pretty shady to tear out White Water Landing and only put in a Swing. I'm not surprised about the Swing, because it was rumored all summer, but it's just disappointing. Kind of surprising that CP is going to go 4 years without a new coaster. Very uncharacteristic. -
NHL 2004 on PS2. Quite possibly the greatest sports game ever! Ok, that might be a little over the top, but easily the best hockey game ever.

Mine is my brother and I with our favorite race car driver, Vitor Meira, inside his hauler after the Texas race in June. Yes, I know my computer is cluddered with junk on the desktop. For those of you who notice the folder in the top right, it's just a bunch of their videos I've downloaded. Not some stalker file or something like that.

Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
Scaparri replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really hate clones, but I guess it's logical for PKD. I just always hope for something original that will actually push me to go to the park. Oh well, it's pretty sweet that they have four launched coasters now. I'm all about launching. -
Has anyone ridden this coaster???
Scaparri replied to Bob O's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Holy crap that is awesome! It may be Togo, but still. The Tobu Zoo model was cool enough, but now one that does a loop and a corkscrew. What I would give for a park in the U.S. to build something along those lines from a different designer. Am I overreacting? -
Those Crazy Aussies & Their Weather!
Scaparri replied to SharkTums's topic in Random, Random, Random
We get just about everything here. A tornado ripped through my town a few years ago, I've seen baseball sized hail, snowflakes the size of half dollars, green skies, you name it. I remember when it was 60 degrees on Christmas once (usually in the single digits) and 40 degrees on my birthday (August 4th). This isn't exactly weather, but three years ago, there was even an earthquake. Not an incredibly strong one, but strong enough to shake my house even though the epicenter was 2 hours from here. -
Yeah, I'm not so sure I want Cedar Fair to purchase them. They haven't impressed me at all with how they have handled GL. They pretty much shown me that they have no idea how to rejuvenate a failing park. I'd also like to keep the theming that some of the parks have going for them. Cedar Fair isn't exactly top notch when it comes to theming their rides. Yeah, Six Flags isn't either, but I give them a little credit. All the Cedar Fair parks I've been to (5) have all been spotless clean though and run fairly smoothly, so maybe it wouldn't be bad. I don't know.

My favorites would have to be: Option One- Texas Two-Step SFOT SFFT Schlitterbahn SeaWorld and Option Five- New York, New York! SFGAdv Clementon Coney Island Rye Playland I think I would have to say that my favorite is the New York option. Another suggestion would be a New England option. Something like SFNE, Lake Compounce, Canobie Lake, and Great Escape. I don't know where you would do sightseeing. Another thought would be something like Knoebels, Dorney, Hershey, SFGAdv, and a sightseeing stop in Philly. I'll head over to RideWorld and post some of these ideas

Yeah, if anybody wants to see what my hometown and area looked like 26 years ago, go rent the movie "Breaking Away" starring Dennis Quaid, Daniel Stern, and Dennis Christopher. It's actually a good movie. Kind of neat that my hometown in Indiana had a major motion picture made about it. The bike race that the movie is centered around really does exist and really is a huge deal here. It is labeled as the greatest weekend in college. The teams in the movie are real as well. Check it out.

Discovery Channel Show - UPDATE!!!
Scaparri replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's pretty sweet. Yeah, they definately made some good choices. Next year is the year of wooden coaster if you ask me. Only four major ones being built right now, but they are all looking like stellar ridse I don't live incredibly close to Beech Bend, but it's not terribly far. I wouldn't have much of a problem clearing time either. -
Great Photo:TR. The pool of blood is awesome. I really need to get out and experience more parks around halloween. The only one I've ever been to is SFKK and I must say it was less than stellar. What they had and did was neat, but overall wasn't much. The major highlight is the enclosed bumper cars.

Photo TR: Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay Weekend
Scaparri replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I spent many nights after work in that steak 'n' shake. I must say I can't believe how much I actually miss the town of Sandusky and Ohio. Anyway, yeah, that's pretty sweet you guys made it on Dragster. How did the Mrs like it Wally? By the way, am I the only one that the Saturday pics aren't showing up for? -
So it's the off-season, now what?
Scaparri replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh yeah definately. I picture something like the photo contest being a lot like how the avatar contests are run. -

Scaparri replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sounds like a plan Robb. I really like the idea about the No Limits and RCT track pack. I also think it would be cool to have photo contests or something. I don't think they would necessarily have to have prizes, but merely the pleasure of knowing you took a kick ass picture. I don't want to try and get you and Elissa to fork out more prizes! . But we could just do photo contests with themes, like out and back woodie, decrepit piece of sh..., hyper, humorous (though I think the Tweetie camel toe pic takes the cake), and so on. Just a thought. -
I hate Indiana University. Through my experience, I've gathered that they are pretty much a bunch of hypocritical ***holes that only care about getting paid. How dare you fail me for leaving one word that isn't necessary out of an assingment while you ***clowns go off and lose two of my projects and claim that I never turned them in. I have records showing I did you group of brainwashed hypocrites. How dare you lecture me about organization and then lose my work and act like it is my fault. How dare you fail my project because it didn't comply with a requirement that was never stated anywhere. Not on directions, on a site, in lecture, or in lab. And by the way, Spending millions of dollars trying to make a beautiful campus more beautiful isn't going to get you out of your ridiculous debt. I would think that the "KELLEY SCHOOL!" could tell you that. Neither is raising tuition by 20% over the last five years. There are other schools to go to. Good Riddance IU. Glad I will never have to pay you any more of my hard earned money.

I love Red Bull. I wish they made a regular Red Bull soda that wasn't an energy drink.

Hangman at Opryland (now Kong at SFMW) in 1996. Yeah, I kind of went all out as a first timer and went with the five-whammy. I was scared to death and hated heights but the thing just looked so much fun, and it was. I still contend to this day that that ride was smooth as glass. It's amazing how awesome an SLC can be when it is actually smooth.
