Legoland California Discussion Thread
map2 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was watching a TV show yesterday, and they showed the robotic arm rides at Legoland California. I was wondering if any of you have been on it, and if so, was it fun or was it boring? -
??? Yo mama is so fat that when she turns around she makes the glode spin. (Yeah I know mine is bad)

At least you have an In'N'Out near you, I don't think In'N'Out even has a location on the East Coast. The only place I saw an In'N'Out that was outside of California was in Las Vegas, but that still is across the country. I wish we could turn out Fatburger here to an In'N'Out Burger

Wasn't it obvious? If a guy spends more than 15 minutes doing his hair, that is when you start to question him.

Wow! The area where you live looks very lush and green!

Scenery that looks terrible!

The Lickskillet area sign at SFOG. It prbably was better themed and looked better when they just had Thunder River and Splash Waterfalls there. But when you add go-karts and Deja Vu to a "mine" themed area, it just looks tacky. This also applies for The Collosus County Fair area at SFMM. It was okay when they just had Collosus there, but once they added a ride named after a Bliblical giant, and is themed to the ruins of a rainforest, they could have taken away the name for the area, and come up with a better one. Also the SPE at Samurai Summit. So basically any ride placed in SF park that does not fit the theme of the area is tack to me. -
Atlanta has a real long skyline, so you have to get a picture from a far to get the full effect

10 Being my favorite and 1 being my least favorite 10 In-N-Out Burger, Schloztkys, Varisty (I'm not sure if you guys have ever heard of it, but it is like a nostalgic fast food with the 50's appeal), Chili's (since people put Johnny Rockets and Red Lobster) 9 Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, Subway, Krispy Kreme, Cold Stone (does this count) 8 Atlanta Bread Company (sandwhich place), Sonic 7 Zaxby's, Moe's (Burrito place two steps above Taco Bell), Domino's 6 McDonalds, Checkers (their fries are good, but their burgers aren't), Backyard Burgers 5 Pizza Hut 4 Burger King 3 Dunkin Donuts, Whataburger 2 Jack-In-The-Box, Wily's (midtown location one was OK, but the College Park one was not) 1 Taco Bell (I went to one once and they said their meat tube was clogged, I'll eat it, but no my first choice)

^That thing looks cool. It looks like a bus, but runs on a track like a subway. I don't have any pictures ofmy skyline on my camera, but is there a way to google images and get one from there, I tried copy and paste earlier and it did not work

Yeah, at first I thought the PSP was going to be something that I will use as often as my iPod or my cell phone, but for the 7 months I've had it, I have not played on it for 1 hr. I saw my friend playing the DS on a school trip, and I asked if I could play. To me it was WAY more fun than the PSP. P.S. Have any of you played the Sims on PSP, to me that game was horrible, I thought it would be like the game on PC, but I was wrong

Thank goodness I live in Atlanta because I do not like storms. You don't really get many natural disasters here (thank goodness!). Too far south for blizzards, too inland for hurricanes, no tornadoes (usually) rare chance of earthquakes (even though it has happened before about 4 years ago). But really I don't like any kind of storms, but I'm not the one who gets real scared. It really depends on how bad the storm is. Usually I'm not that scared of them during school or in public, I don't know why.

I'm surprised that this is not a topic yet, but there is an article saying that a woman at Six Flags Darien Lake came across a store that looked like a Disney Stor. When she went inside, the store was selling Disney products. Honestly, I'm not teribly surpised this happened. Sharpio used to work with Disney, and he probably still has some access to some of the Disney merchandise. But to me it's still pretty pathetic to sell a competitor's merchandise.
-
On Screamscape today, Sharpio mentioned the "no touch parks" while in an interview. These "no touch parks" included Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Graet America, Six Flags New England, Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Texas, and The Great Escape. You can get to this info by going to Screamscape

I know there are a lot of positive rap lyrics out there, they just don't play it much on the radio. I don't know much about rock, but I know that not all of rock lyrics send a positive message

I agree with you on part A, but not so much on part B. If you take off the SF labael, and market the park as a "teen friendly" park, the park will be losing money. Most teens who go to these "local" theme parks don't spend money once they have entered the park. Of course you have some teens that spend lots of money once in the park, but if they target the teen age with lots of thrills, the teens will spend less time buying things and more time riding. The target group for a park is also a factor of how much income a park gets. Take Disney for example, Disney is targeted for families, a lot of things to do for the kids and things to do for the adults. But of course when they advertise for Disney, they usually advertise things for the kids. Because they know the kids are too young to go by themselves, they know the parents will come with the kids. Because the park are targeted for families, and because the parents will more than likely be with the kids, Disney can get away with overcharging because they know the parents will be with them, and the parents are the ones with the money. If MM is targeted for teens, most parents feel that the kids are old enough to off by themselves, the parents with the money, give the kids a much more limited amount of money. MM cannot get away with overpricing their things if it is only targeted for teens because the teens have such a limited income, and if things are too pricy, they simply won't go.

Ok, let clarify this up a little, in your opinion, which CityWalk has the better restaurants and shopping ^^^Yeah I know, being fourteen, I miss out on some of the major attractions at CityWalk. But hey at least I can eat and shop!!
-
Yeah they said that those things can get up to the size of a car. Yeah the aquarium is real nice and real big
-
I'm not sure if this is a topic or not but which CityWalk, in your opinion, is better, Orlando or Hollywood?

Halloween Horror Nights XVI

I know this is real off topic, but last year me and my dad were at SFMM, and we saw a sign for Brutal Planet saying that you must be a certain age (14 I think it is) to go through. Does anyone know why? -
Honestly, I wish I could answer all of your questions, but I really can't. I'll try with 2,3, and 4. 2. I'm really not sure if there is a maximum height restrction. I've seen people 6 ft plus get on it so I'm just assuming that there is no maximum height restriction. 3. Really the Ninja has gotten so rough over the years that no seat is noticable smoother than another. The front is the smoothest, if you can say that. Really the way to escape the head banging is to press your head against the headrest as hard as you can. 4. Like Ninja there is no smooth ride on here. Your best chance is like Ninja, front row with your head pushed very hard on the head rest. I wish I could answer questions 1 and 5, but I have no answers or even possible soulutions for #5. As for 1, I'm, guessing pretty much all of the rides, except for the smaller ones

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
map2 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't really see why the couple is saying that their wedding is ruined. The wedding itself is fine, it's just they assumed that they would be at the park the next day. But to me its not really double booking because the bookings were for two different things. The couple booked a wedding at a hotel, and a group of Muslims booked the park. Their separate things so Alton Towers did not overbook or double book. The wedding couple really should not complain so much, because its not like you were rejected from going to the park, you can still go, you just have to abide by the Muslims rules. Besides, the Muslims were willing to let the couple break one of the rules and not have to wear a hijab. Besides, its not like the couple expected for them to be the only people in the park. Besides there was no guarentee that the park was going to be opened that Sunday in the first place. If the park closes because of a huge storm thats going to remain there for the whole day, are you going to complain to the media? -
