Standups were popular for a while and then just kind of went under... Hasn't been a new one since Scorcher.

While SFA leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth they definately do have the better selection of rides. I have ridden both of the superclones and I like SFDL's better due to better visuals, couldn't notice all that much of a difference in ride quality. They're both really great Intamins.

DEAD! I always go to Florida in Oct. for Horror Nights, and it's a very good time to go to any of their parks including Disney. I mean, there will obviously be some lines to wait in but nowhere near the ridiculous holiday/summer seasonal crowds.

If you can kick your foot straight out and they stay on your feet, I'd imagine it wouldn't be a problem at all, seeing how no inverted coaster really swings your feet out faster than a swift kick. My younger brother has similar shoes and they've survived B&M and Vekoma inverted and flying models.

I loved Revolution but it beat my head worse than any SLC I've been on due to the damn shoulder restraints. Why do some looping schwarzies have them and so don't? It would be like a whole new ride. The layout is awesome and the ride is just nice and long, and unique.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I never noticed the "back up bronco" sign. two and two together with the "new direction" makes me wonder if it will travel in reverse at least some point. Just another useless observation. -
Dragon Wagon: Is it a credit?
ECZenith replied to lapseofreason's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't count powered coasters but I love them, they just aren't "roller" coasters, they're pulled around the circuit. I don't ride kiddy coasters, but the dragon wagons/go gators/etc. are powered along the track and don't rely on gravity, so I would say no. If you count gators and dragons, you mind as well count himalayas, bayern kurves and that sort of ride, as they are powered along a track in a similar way. Just my opinion, you are of course, always welcome to yours. -

I heard of this park, but never saw any photos of it, so this was a nice surprise, great photos, great report. -
I don't have any photos, but Sam Adams Summer Ale is SINISTER! Love the seasonal brews.

New themepark for West Virginia?
ECZenith replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, I would imagine they would still have the same kind of rides as the Nebraska project, the art makes it look pretty decent. -
Your Favorite Train Ride
ECZenith replied to kidcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Busch Gardens Europe has a beautiful, long train ride through the woods giving awesome views of all their coasters. On the same level is BGA's, which offers viewing of their animals, and unlike Animal Kingdom's train, actually takes you to important areas of the park. -

Interesting TR, cool collection of Balder stuff, but no pin???? Balder beer but no pin? Shame! Still can't believe I haven't met most of my fellow New England TPRers. Sometime this season people! -
Hey there, Since I really don't wear theme park shirts since I've been about 15 or so, and have had to be kind of cheap when I visit most theme parks, an easy souvenier for me to start collecting was theme park pins, I'm not talking about random disney pins, I'm talking like specific pins for particular rides. I have a pretty good collection now on a huge corkboard, probably close to 100. I was wondering if anyone else did the same... and how many do you have? It looks like major six flags parks are starting to sell pins of their star attractions (El Toro, Tatsu, Kingda Ka...) but I was curious to know if certain parks sell pins, so if you know of any, please list them below. I was wondering in particular, if Sea World Orlando and BGE sell pins, I know BGA does for some of their rides. I'm having such a hard time finding an Alpengeist pin!! If anyone has any photos they would like to share, do that too! I will post some of my collection as soon as I get access to the gf's camera.

Game: Other members and their special obssesions

There's the countless number of fanboys who always leave creepy comments behind some of our female posters. Does that count? I should get bonus points if I can name them all... -
I guess I was never a "true" Metallica fan. I stopped listening to them as soon as the sh*tty St. Anger disc dropped and they started pissing and moaning about the downloading free music thing. Can someone get these guys a box of tampons? There are just way too many bands that should have stopped releasing music a while ago... I'd rather go out with a bang at a younger age and start shooting commercials like you're supposed to, rather than just fade away as you age with sub-par music. "Fuel" and "Enter Sandman" are still bomb though... Why couldn't you just keep your style the way it was?

Hehehe, I didn't even notice that until you just mentioned it. He looks like he's peed his pants and is proud of it. Ahhh.... spring break. -
Marvel Action Park (RCT 3)
ECZenith replied to ECZenith's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Thanks, I hope it comes out like I plan. I'm not too happy with the last half of the coasters, and it needs major theming before it's actually interesting. I might paint both coasters black and theme it to the "movie version" of Venom, making new custom art when more promo shots for Spidey 3 come out. This park will be Universal-esque and will have some "cloned" rides like Dr. Doom etc. I only work on this kind of stuff with some of the little free time I get from work, so it may be a little while before ya see anything new. If only this computer (here at work) were good enoguh to work on it here, got nothing else to do... -

I REALLY loved X on my visit to SFMM a couple months ago, so I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy this improved version of the ride. The colors are awesome, I love the little details like the tori gate, the fact that it has trees around it, etc. I'm just happy they put some care into the surrounding areas. Hopefully the lines for it won't be too crazy next year, must try the full-full a few times. -
Everland Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awwww man, I've always wanted to try one of those huge ships. I find it odd that they'd put two right next to eachother, especially with the good capacity the ride has. The floater air must be ridiculous, it's already a great ride (the smaller versions we have here in the states.) Did you get to ride one of them, if so, what did you think? -
I preffered the front seat for the crazy visuals. Hanging over the 90 degree edge is the most anxious moment on any coaster. EDIT: I've been in almost every seat on that ride and never got more than a light misting from SheiKra's splashdown. The people standing near that area... however.

Most INTENSE Coaster Moment?
ECZenith replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
TATSU's pretzel loop is very intense, moreso than SUF's. Then there's pretty much any launch on an Intamin accelerator. -
Whip noob? That's the first and last time I will probably ever hear that combination of words... Ah, life is too short. I can't believe I haven't been to Rye Playland yet. Once my body recovers from PCW's Volare maybe I'll go check it out.

Wow! It looks JUST like Mexico! The bus stopped here for 15 minutes on the way home from boot camp to pick some people up. Even after 3 months of hard training and no coasters (or anything else fun for that matter) I was all set.
