Well, I for one am excited to hear it is opening as I most likely will be able to make next year's Japan trip. I found Wild Thing and Steel Force to be pretty good and this has much better numbers.

Coastakid, there used to be a Top Scan at LI Adventureland just a few hours drive, and the closest one that comes through the NE is the Meadowlands fair. If you can make it up to Canada, PCW has one but not run as good as LIA's. You've got to try one! Best flat ride ever.

Um... maybe there's more than one Splash Battle... I thought the ride was unique and googled it. Oops.

A train stopping in the brakes usually happens when the trains get stacked or a sensor is missed. Of course no one was hurt! Eej did what it was supposed to.

All the more reason to not get another one!

The only thing I dislike about PCW (I'm no hater...) is that they have so many off the shelf coasters and even the original ones are just OK. But you are right, it is the best park in the region. One thing they do right, and probably the best, is their stellar collection of flat rides. Psyclone, Sledge, they have a Top Scan for cryin out loud! Luckily I go to parks for more than just coasters, but Vortex is worth the trip anyways.

Are you going to paint the structure when it's done?

Just wanted to bump this up with a possible slight update... As much as I hope the ride will be themed to Spiderman (rumors of a Venom ride?!), I have a feeling some information was lost in translation. Many articles about the new coaster for Universal Studios Osaka claim that the ride will be the most expensive since it opened it's Spiderman ride but never made any mention of the new ride being themed to Spiderman. Just a thought.

JOYGASM! Another new Mondial creation, awesome! It actually resembles more of the airwolf design than the top scan design. I love it! Wonder if there's any chance one will travel in the US.

I'd imagine by the time they get all the parts in it will only take a couple of weeks to put together as long as the work site it prepped. I'll be there the day the thing opens. Mmmmmm... Huss...

Especially nice Dominator photos, I love that coaster. It's driving me crazy that they left Steel Venom red and blue, still feels all Supermanish. Paint that thing yellow already or something!

Wow, they got alot done on Flying Turns since last I've seen it. That is one twisted little beast!

Those Driving Force stickers are so tacky... We got the whole works done to our Nitro here on the EC.

I noticed the tbolt thing too. The line is always at least just coming out of the station. Great photos of my home park.

I was going to say... it is most likely the electrical system/mechanisms etc. rather than damage done to the structure itself, the rod would protect the thing from being toast.

About 10 minutes, the ride never seems to be busy when I go. That was for fire dragon front row, I love HHN!

I go to Edaville every year in the holiday season and the train ride is always awesome. The light displays they put out in the winter are awesome too. Not to mention they have Whalom's tumble bug, not built yet but waiting...

Favorite fictional characters... let's see... There's the obvious Venom from the Spiderman franchise, Violator from Spawn comics, and yes, very random but Folbert the turtle from Rocko's Modern Life. Anyone else remember that show, it was great, I have the whole series on ghetto DVD. Which of these three doesn't belong? Violator Filbert Venom

I think the spinning coaster is going to open in 2008, I hop eth erumors are true that it will also utilize the mountainside.
