Universal Studios Escape (RCT 3)
ECZenith replied to ECZenith's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I'm getting the basics of the rides done first, then I'll go back and polish off any rough edges and add more details. For example, Marvel still needs a lot of touchups, and the first JP ride isn't even done yet. Everything will look nice for the download. I'm done with JPRA for now, more detail will be added at a later time. Top of the show building, again - not finished! A look up the first lift. JPRA entrance and gift shop. The area where City Under Siege connects with Jurassic Park. A view of the JP area and the River Adventure. Outside of the building is complete. A look at USE so far. -
Universal Studios Escape (RCT 3)

Jurassic Park River Adventure is about 60% done, there's still alot of theming to be done and the show building is only about half done. There will be some great lighting effects in the t-rex room before the big drop. The JP area will also have a jeep ride called "Dino Tours" that will focus on velociraptors, and a flying coaster themed to pterandons. There was orifinally a jeep ride planned for IOA that never made it, so I will showcase my take on it in this area. Keep in mind, this JPRA is not meant to be a clone of either of the existing rides, but again, what I would do with the concept... Progress on the show building. This area is coming along pretty nice. My version of JPRA has a double down drop into the plesiosaur area. JPRA still has no station, here I am just checking out some banners that will be used, they're not staying there. -
Six Flags Spinners '07

Pandemonium is just sunk into the ground more. The bunny hops at the end go right along with the terrain, it's probably the best out of all the similar versions just because of this, the landscaping is really nice too. I have only been on a coupl eo fthese though... -
Furthest I've ever drove to a park was about 14 hours from here to Cedar Point, bu tthen there was a sidetrip to KI which is even farther... Furthest I've ever actually been was SFMM and I flew to LA from RI. I need to get off this continent!

Lagoon Discussion Thread
ECZenith replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does Lagoon still have a top scan? If so I may have to stop there next time I head west. Plus, I can't resist a new launched coaster. -
I would say that's possible because the ride is newer and therefore less painful. I have yet to ride the CI Cyclone and will reserve judgement until next year when I do ride it. Robb and Elissa actually saw me lose my Pscyclone virginity at SFMM. The first time I saw them I was nursing my bruises on it's brake run. That's the only version I've ever been on. SHAME! The original is 3 hours away...

I am also somewhat of a train/trolley enthusiast I suppose so I really enjoyed your non-theme park photos as well. I've yet to see even a mediocre TR from you, another one well done! -

When I went in May X was running 2 trains as well. Gotta give Snyder credit where it's due! -

Now that I see a good image of the track and supports connected, I have to say that I really like the color combination! -
Six Flags Spinners '07
ECZenith replied to TexTitan01's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think Pandemonium is fun but never worth more than 10 minutes. If you can offset the weight and get it to spin crazily, then that's a different story. I'm not surprised to hear this news instead of big coasters, definately goes along with the "make it more family frienly" plan. I just hope Snyder's superhero fetish doesn't get slapped onto these things... The new superman freefall made me gag a little on announcement day. -
Solo rides?
ECZenith replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For coasters, the only ones I've ever gotten solo rides on that I remember are Tatsu and SupermanROS at SFNE, both were during ERT events, and both times it was raining. -
Most comfortable?
ECZenith replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree that B&M Speed Coasters have the most comfortable seats/restraints. I love the clamshell. -
I also drive a (dodge) Neon. It's a 2002 SXT, black with nice spoiler and rims. I'm not ashamed to say I love my car.

Teal blue, DP's Hydra's supports represent my favorite shade of the color nicely.

My favorite animals are squids. Smart, fast, lethal overall interesting.

Jeez, can't we get any good news out of Colorado? -
Ok, well I can change the dates to be there on a Saturday when they're open 10-10 and then do Horror Nights the next day at USO. This brings up a new question... is SFOG often mobbed on weekends in OCT because of Frightfest? Either way, how close is the park to the airport and is their public transit availble between?
