  1. I think you should give the enterprise a chance. If the constant inversions bother you, you can close your eyes and you won't even feel like you are going upside down due to the centrifugal force. The ride doesn't even have seatbelts because the boom only lifts when the wheel gets up to speed. I have been on all four variations of this ride and have never gotten sick once or felt unsafe. (mini, standard, skylab, and even the ultra rare Huss fly away at SFNE, which is the best I might add.)
  2. I remember having a slight fear of chains snapping on a swing ride at a carnival when I was younger. I'm going to be scared to death of the StarFlyer in Florida come October but the fear is half the fun, makes you feel more alive when you come down safely.
  3. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21787&highlight=tower+terror+variations Just a head's up as most likely this thread will be locked since there's already a topic for this.
  4. ^ Do you mean the little dip before the drops? I think I can do that easily. I have no screenshots yet but the jeep ride is about half done for anyone following this park. I'm not going to take any new pictures until the entire JP area is done and I've made some new banners in photoshop.
  5. I hope these are enclosed rides with theming, that would actually be pretty cool. You never know what the new team has up their sleeves. Even if they are open-air I'm relieved to hear they will have custom layouts, even though I like Pandemonium at SFNe I'd like to try those cars on a new layout.
  6. What's funny is those cheap carnival dark rides usually generate more actual scares than most expensive theme park haunted houses. Yes the details are much better but a blast of air to the face or a loud horn in the dark can actually make me jump. I actually rode a pretty well themed carny house last year at the New England fair, it was short but had all new props and they all worked! I'll never forget the NY State Fair (Startes Shows) and their dark rides. They had one with the twisting lift as seen in your photo TR but there was like NO props and it wasn't even dark. Where the final scare scene was supposed to be was two dirty mattresses and blankets, presumably where a few carnies slept. What a ripoff! Sean "never passed up a dark ride yet" Costa
  7. I've been on Raptor Silver Bullet Talon BTR (SFNJ) Alpengeist Montu Great Bear ...and my favorite of all of them is Alpengeist. I love the unique order of elements and the setting is perfect. The ride also has some pretty decent theming. I just wish they would lay off the block brakes. When I rode it in its debut year I thought there would never be a better coaster than Alpy. I'm looking forward to finally getting back on it and its new neighbor Griffon next spring.
  8. I've waited 2+ hours for each coaster for my first time, mainly because of the breakdowns. I would never do that again, they are great rides but if I can't get to KK first thing in the morning I'm not going to be bummed out, there's at least 4 other better coasters at GADV, IMO.
  9. When is that Nemo show going to be open? I'm finally heading back to WDW midoctober, I was getting sick of the Tarzan show.
  10. I never hear much about TN Tornado. Has it been running smoothly? I'm finally heading to DW next year and I'm a bit of an arrow coaster fan. The "iron butterfly" looks very cool.
  11. Ow... Yeah there' sno way a gyro drop could get someone hair caught up in th elift mechanism. Unless they have a "Marge Simpson" kind of hairdo that's 7' tall or so.
  12. I think they're talking about the little piece of track that was unloaded today to the construction site. It arches vertically and has no banking so it can be assumed it's a piece of a hill and not a turn.
  13. Good news, I was worried for a minute there. I'm a fan of all Premier mad cobras... but ti would be cool if they rethemed it, just not with the Disaster Transport treatment.
  14. I've read a dozen reviews that said the coaster sucks. Not one positive. I think the concept looked cool, just wasn't delivered the way people hoped.
  15. Yup, I'm looking forward to following the diaries, just don't hope there's many spoilers. I want all the houses effects to be a surprise this year.
  16. ^ ^ How can you tlel that is a lift hill? It's so distant in that picture. ^ Once again, where do you see a part of the ride that would have airtime? I don't see what you're talking about. Magnum and MF have always been good to me in the air dept, I'm not going to be dissapointed if this thing doesn't have a lot of (-) g's.
  17. If Raven had skid brakes, that would be normal. However it does not... So I have no idea why it did that. A skid brake lifts out under the train keeping it from rolling which would cause what you saw. In this photo, you can see it has the "squeeze" brakes like most modern wooden coasters. Weird. Squeezy brakes
  18. Sorry to bite your style, but I'm definately doing the "countersnap" on my next visit to SFNE. Nice photos, it seems like all SF parks with Deja Vu's currently have them running.
  19. I think almost everyone will agree that the apple has fallen far from the tree with SOB. I rode Beast in a thunderstorm my first time and it was intense, fast, long and just plain unique. Unfortunately I only got to ride it once because of said storm, but I preferred it to SOB which while unique, was painful and just not in the same category.
  20. I have and it's playing in the JPRA, but thanks anyways. I could use another JP mp3 for the jeep ride though, if you have a "chase" sounding song from any of the movies, please send it to ECZenith@aol.com.
  21. Oh man, and I just noticed he's a pats fan too! Already off on a good note. Where is the respect people?
  22. I was going to say, HORIZONTAL CLEARANCE!
  23. Nice TR, random question time! Does hershey sell pins like other theme parks do for their rides? When I went last year I wasn't collecting them and therefore didn't pay any attention.
  24. Was SFDL's top spin running? I have never seen it run once in the 5 or so times I've been there.
  25. More like 30 or so, even more reason to be excited. If the TPR trip sells out Im going to motor out there anyways. I've put it off for far too long.
