  1. I can never get enough shots of Fahrenheit's cobra roll, oooweeee!
  2. I love the movies, and I'm not surprised a ride is being built based on the franchise. Love them or hate them the saw films are tremendously popular and licensing a thrill ride based on them is a good move. Plus, at least you get some theming! Judging from the large building frame going up I can hope the ride will have some show elements, maybe a little bit of a walk through experience before the ride? It will be interesting to watch this develop.
  3. Went "next door" to Big Thunder Mountain railroad after a long shift yesterday.
  4. I wonder if they were waiting for that building to burn down...
  5. I can't believe they recreate the razor tube that you have to reach through, it made me cringe in the movies, how terribly awesome!
  6. I haven't seen that least piece of Silly Symphonies Swings art, I have a different one.. This ride is going to look beautiful when it's done!
  7. This kind of stuff happens a lot, especially when it's the manufacturer's first project of this scale. I'm sure they'll mend the track to fit properly fairly easily.
  8. I think the reason why you see so many red roller coasters is that it stands out more dramatically than any other color. A park investing in a large coaster is going to want it to be seen for miles and red makes a big impact as far as showing "ferocity" or intimidation, IMO.
  9. I was following this project and I;m sad to see it go... You shouldn't give up making parks, you should just make abackup copy of your save file so this doens't happen again. Keep on building, man.
  10. Is your teaser for the new, rumored "locomotive" ride that could be built in phase 2 of the California Adventure refurb?
  11. If anyone happens to come across one of the statues while they're dumpster diving, I have this great spot in my front lawn...
  12. I can't believe they got rid of the statues. I have yet another reason to hate Harry Potter. No matter how much I don't care for the whole HP concept (the stories not the retheming of the land) the Kuka-coaster whatever you want to call it ride is probably going to be amazing.
  13. Yeah, it looks like DK's paint just faded to a rust red, I remember a couple years ago it was nice and bright red. Did they have any mazes?
  14. With the coaster taking so long to open with repeated long term downtimes I'm not surprised they went and removed it. It's a shame for the park's regulars that they only had the ride for a little while.
  15. Watch out Intamin! That first element is just weird, in a good way, of course.
  16. Waiting till closer to Halloween but the more I read about this attraction the more my anticipation builds. The details in the photos are looking pretty promising!
  17. Xcelerator has got to have the best looking trains of any coaster I've ridden, I love the design. Smooooooth stop...
  18. When I lived in Rhode Island, every Halloween I would make a backyard trail haunt. Here's some photos from 2006's Terror Trail. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30253&highlight=terror+trail
  19. Did you guys see me at Indy tonight? I was in the station all night dispatchin'
  20. I love Wildwood, it was one of my favorite places to go when I lived on the east coast. Dante's Dungeon is a really good dark ride with a couple live actors and it's been recently overhauled with all new tricks, next time make sure you try it out! Very impressive photos, by the way. Shooting lightning is NOT easy!
  21. I'll be working Indiana Jones Tuesday 430-1030, see ya there!
  22. Diamondback is coming up quick, I'm definately making a trip out to Ohio next year. I still haven't been on Maverick and the fact that a new B&M is coming up at KI doesn't hurt.
  23. Please feel free to pour on the details! I want to go to this maze so bad!
  24. Wow, this is Spooky World's 4th location afer being moved so many times. I've been to the first 3 locations and was never dissapointed. Thanks for sharing the photos, and making me miss my New England home... ::sob::
  25. Given their good relationship with B&M I wonder if the possible new concept they are working on could be a possibility. Screamscape: B&M - (9/18/08) This information is a little vague… but our source claims that B&M will announce a brand new coaster design concept sometime this fall, possibly even before the big IAAPA show in November. Anyone know more or is this just some fanboy’s dream? Who knows... will be fun to find out though.
