  1. I reserving judgement on the color scheme until the name/exact theme is announced. I definately like how my old home park's SROS turned out with the similar, yet reversed colors. It definately stands out more. I never cared for the superman theme anyways and was happy to see the logos dissapear.
  2. Eeek! It looks like the Potter box could possibly be larger than my beloved Indy box! I can't believe I'm this excited about a ride where a) I don't like Harry Potter at all, and b) we don't really know what it is yet... Still excited though, with visions of Kuka arms dancing in my head.
  3. ^ Didn't even notice till after I got home! One thing I have to give Universal credit for is that they have LOTS of costumed characters walking around the park in the appropriate areas, gives the place a great feel.
  4. I would say it's only a matter of time before it's fixed up. This is what our yetis look like in Anaheim all the time so consider yourselves lucky. I'd imagine it would be a massive effort to get into the show building and replace the parts. Most of the time when a show effect is not working properly for an extended period of time it's simply because it's so hard to access.
  5. This holiday season, I was lucky enough to have my family fly out from Boston to come see me in my new home. While they were around, we visited Disneyland and Universal Studios. Haunted Mansion Holiday had a wait time of about 45 minutes, not bad considering it was so close to the holidays. We went to Disneyland the day after Christmas, I had to work almost every day this week but I was able to enjoy the park as a guest for a little while. I got in trouble for taking this photo so you better love it! Sorry for the small amount of photos but I hope you liked them. I wish you all a happy new year! It's no Indy, but I love Mummy It's freezing cold but screw it. JPRA kicks ass! The Simpsons Ride had a very slow moving line but I ended up liking it better than BTTF! It was a great time and I have a feeling you'll be seeing us two in more photos together in the future... We made a quick stop at Universal Studios Hollywood the next day. That's my brother and his girlfriend and I'm on a first date with Kirsten. My brother and I in front of Indiana Jones Adventure Ahhh! Time to go to work in the Temple Of The Forbidden Eye! Can't visit Disneyland without riding Space Mountain, and you can't ride Space Mountain without waiting 45 minutes! ...and I'm definately excited about that. I'll be training at Thunder by Springtime... The sexy new Mark VII Monorail Red over the lagoon We took a ride on the Matterhorn bobsleds and the submarines which had a pretty long waiting time. My parents, brother Cory, and his girlfriend Kayla and I on Small World. It was my first time riding since the refurbishment. It's.. an okay ride I guess but not worth an hour wait. A look inside It's A Small World Holiday It's A Small World Holiday sporting its Holiday facade.
  6. It will be California Screamin' when I go peek at Mickey's Fun Wheel this week.
  7. Don't forget to visit me at Indiana Jones Adventure! I'm so happy you guys won.
  8. Morey's Piers has been one of my favorite places to visit since I was a little kid. These photos bring back a lot of fond memories, thank you!
  9. I rode Dominator when it was Knight Flight in Ohio, and when I went to KD, Hypersonic was the new weapon. It was very close between Volcano and Dominator but Dominator is my favorite coaster at KD and one of my favorite B&Ms in general!
  10. The new Paradise Pier!
  11. I've been on hundreds of coasters and SFNE's SROS definately feels the most intense in the negative G department, so I believe that. (^)
  12. This is definately a bummer, it was a really unique ride.
  13. ^^ Ah yes, you're right. That slipped my mind, I remember hearing that Vekoma would provide the track for the robocoaster.
  14. OMG... I just saw the "lake" photos for the first time. Working at Disneyland, this almost brings a tear to the eye... Yikes.
  15. I will miss the ride a lot but at least there's still Sooperdooperlooper in PA. The one thing that really stands out on that ride was its sloooooooow lift hill. Maybe one of the smaller parks here in Cali will buy it (wishful thinking)
  16. I actually love it! Superman is my favorite coaster but I don't really care for the Superman theme and I hated the colors. It's weird Mind Eraser will be the same colors too...
  17. You don't like the idea of it? The concept is amazing! I have to wonder if Kuka teamed up with a certain coaster manufacturer to provide the track. Just a thought... On my Christmas list...
  18. Canobie, does it really matter that the guy was Mexican?
  19. I'm excitied to see this coaster will have an "on your back" section like Air (worst coaster name ever?) does. That's something no US flyer has done yet.
  20. Disney in no way, shape, or form needs to try and one up Six Flags. They aren't nearly the same type of theme park experience. Disney offers family attractions with some thrill rides here and there and Six Flags is just the opposite which led to a lot of their problems.
  21. I have so many stories about line cutters from Indiana Jones. At Indy, we not only have ride operations rotations, but also queue-watching positions at Greeter, Temple Entrance, Rotunda, Film Room, and Vehicle Loading. A monitor at temple entrance let's us watch the infamous "bamboo canyon" section via a security camera. The "trick" is that people come up the exit and then just hop over a small fence into the end of the queue leading up to rotunda. When we see someone doing this, we just call the next position and the CM is ready to remove them on the other side, we've got it down to a science. My most bizarre case of queue-line mischief came about 3 weeks ago where a group of 3 college kids waiting in the standby line (which runs parallel to the fastpass line outside the temple) were literally elbowing every single fastpass guest in the ribs as they breezed by them. Not one guest let me know this was happening until the party in front of them got to my position and they whispered it to me. Needless to say after about an hour and a half wait in line, I threw them all out. As soon as they were gone everybody started clapping and telling me this had been going on for about 20 minutes... It was amazing to me that everybody seemed scared of these kids, too scared to tell me they were assaulting other guests because they were frustrated they had to wait in line while others with fastpass came right in. People do some weird stuff...
  22. Please don't rename it "Scream". I'm definately excited about the retheme. I never understood the whole Greek mythological monster dwelling in the wild west story...
  23. Dandaman... LMAO the first thing I thought of was the "troublesome trucks" And then the second thing I thought when I saw the tombstones is that they kind o flook like bootleg Haunted Mansion singing statues. There's a lot of nice theming on that boatride, I wonder if the place will expand someday, I can't see it as a place people will keep going back to again and again.
  24. If hell has a Eurofighter like this I'm going to start being extra bad. Heaven only has Vekomas from what I hear anyways.
