  1. Millennium Force back in July (yikes )
  2. Disaster Transport! No questions asked.
  3. Really nice! I love the supports you did for TTD, very accurate. Two minor suggestions: first, the final bunny hops at the end of magnum should probably be alttile lower and more numerous. I tried to find a pic, but anyways there are like 4 bunny hills on the final stretch and they are very choppy, almost like a zig-zag. I think it might be better if you use the 45degree/medium slope for those hills, and make a few more before the tunnel and brake run (which by the way looks awesome). Secondly, I would do the same for Blue Streak's returning bunny hills. They are not very high, and should also be right up next to the "out" part of the out-and-back track. Hope that makes sense. Again, great job!
  4. ^ Yes, they repainted the slide tower multicolored (it use to be all cream colored) and the top of hellavator is now blue, but the rest is still red as of now.
  5. ^^ ONLY FOOLS ARE ENSLAVED BY TIME AND SPACE Yes, that was it. Sorry I didn't have the exact words, for I heard it at like 6:30 in the morning while driving to school half asleep I knew it had something to do with fools. This show seems very odd and confusing. I guess you would've had to watch it from the start to understand it. Thanks for the audio!
  6. Sorry, I don't watch the show so this is going to be hard to explain, but every morning I listen to a local radio station (102.3 the MAX) and they are obssesed with Lost. Anyways, today they played a segment from last wednesday of what I believe is the scene discribed above, where there was a bunch of screeming and mumbling very loudly. Then they played it in reverse, and there is a voice in that audio which when played backwards says something along the lines "only fools will survive on this isle" or something. I'm sorry that I can't remeber exactly what they said. Often times the radio station will put these kind of things up on their blog (i will link it below) but nothing is up yet. Again, I don't watch this show but thought I might mention this to those who watch it religiously. I don't know if this clue is of any significance but thought I'd share. I'll try and find the sound clip too. http://themaxfm.com/sectional.asp?id=6260 Kevin "No clue how they found that out" Conley
  7. Wow, amazing video! You had some very unique angles of footage there. I have yet to visit IoA but it looks awesome. It's a shame that they will be changing the Lost Continent themed area some for that it appears to be the best. Kudos!
  8. Thank you very much for the advice XanderLee! I had been reading all about the applications and positions on the jobs link page but must have overlooked the Jobs Fair date. I will definitly be going next weekend and most likely will give it a shot and apply to work this summer. Again, your insight has been greatly apprectiated. ~ Kevin C
  9. I can't decide if I should apply to work for Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom this summer. I think it would be fun and they seem to have some nice benefits (obviously free season pass and also for SFKK employees free Holiday World tickets ). However, I've heard complants from some friends about Six Flags hospitality and just working all summer out in the heat. I've never had a job before and I'm wondering if this is a good place to start? I am also very active in sports and would like to know if they are flexible with their employees choosing hours and days to work? Also, do you know if you can become a ride opp or some other exciting job your first year and at the age of 17? I don't want to apply and find out that I will be sweeping pathways and emptying trash cans all summer. Any insight or advice would be appreciated! ~ Kevin "still pondering" Conley

  11. Crap, now I have to get a Six Flags pass this year. lol Oh well, I'm excited that my pathetic homepark is getting something new. I'll try to get some construction photos because my school is across the street near the airport, although I wouldn't be able to get in obviously. Besides, I'll have my lisence soon and can stop by often!
  12. I haven't made it to Beech Bend yet, but it sounds like it can be done from Louisville within a day easily. ^^^ As for museums, mr teisco delrey pretty much touched on all of those in Kentuckiana. There is also the Kentucky Speedway located between Louisville and Cinncinatti which is really neat. For entertainment, there is 4th Street Live which has a Hard Rock Cafe, bowling alley, shops, and live shows nightly downtown. Hope this helps!

  16. Wow! That's an awesome idea to make a mountian out of paper like that. I might have to try it myself some time. I can see how it took a while to make. Very nice though! - Kevin "unusual yet creative christmas tree substitute" Conley
  17. Personally, I think it would fit nicely in the back of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and replace our SLC T2. They could refurbish the backlot, considering that The Penguins Blizard River and our Stunt Show are back there, and add some much needed themeing to this park. Kevin "I can only dream" Conley
  18. This quote is from www.realitytv.about.com Aug 29 2006 A controversial twist has America buzzing about Survivor: Cook Islands The Controversy For the 13th season of the CBS reality show Survivor, producers decided to do something different. They decided to divide the show's contestants into four groups -- a White tribe, an African-American tribe, an Asian-American tribe and a Hispanic tribe. Why Producers Went There Critics are calling the twist a publicity stunt to boost the show's declining ratings. The Washington Post wrote: "A ratings plunge like the one the show suffered this past spring in its 12th edition -- fumbling nearly one-quarter of its audience compared with just two springs back -- called for something...Something that would whip the press into a frenzy amounting to millions of dollars worth of free publicity. But Survivor host Jeff Probst told CBS' Morning Show: "I think at first glance, when you just hear the idea, it could sound like a stunt. Especially with the way reality has gone, it wouldn't be unusual. But that's not what we're doing here. The idea for this actually came from the criticism that Survivor was not ethnically diverse enough. Because, for whatever reason, we've always had a low number of minority applicants apply to the show. So we set out and said, 'Let's turn this criticism into creative for the show. I think it fits in perfectly with what 'Survivor' does — it is a social experiment. And this is adding another layer to that experiment, which is taking the show to a completely different level." The Backlash Though many fans of the show have no objections to the new twist, others are speaking out against Survivor and producer Mark Burnett. They have been posting to blogs and message boards voicing their disgust about the controversial twist. And, taking the controversy to another level, members of the New York City Council's Black, Latino and Asian Caucus are calling on CBS to pull Survivor: Cook Islands from its fall schedule. Robert Jackson, co-chair of the caucus, was quoted as saying "Is this going to help to bring people together? I don't think so." CBS Responds In a statement, the network said "CBS fully recognizes the controversial nature of this format but has full confidence in the producers and their ability to produce the program in a responsible manner. Survivor is a program that is no stranger to controversy and has always answered its critics on the screen." I have only been a fan of Survivor since I got hooked this time last year before it's 11th season. I believe that this really shouldn't be such a huge controversy. I enjoy the show and agree that this twist is making the show more diverse, instead of just having a minority of other races. Besides, in the last season, the contestants were divided by age and sex, and this shouldn't be much different. I was just wondering what everyones thoughts and opinions were about this situation. Fans (or even nonfans), do you believe the show should be cancelled, and will you be watching this season of Survivor?
  19. WOW ! Amazing trip report! All of those parks really seem to have incredible themeing. Just goes to show how I need to get out of this country sometime.
  20. I doesn't seem to bother me, except Iron Dragon at CP. Although this ride probably doesn't pull a lot of G's, I have to push up on the restraints and hold them there the whole ride cause they are quite heavy and almost feel like they are going to amputate my thighs off.
  21. I'm 5 ft 3' and weigh 90 pounds as well. I have always been low on the charts but am very healthy. Just have a high metabolism, which is starting to slowly go down. I'm a gymnast, so I do work out 5 days a week. As for B&M's, arrows, ect. I fit into the restraints just fine. I just hate when you think you can get it one notch tighter, and it locks too close.
  22. This may sound stupid, but there are some frequently used roller coaster terms that I seem to get confused about. I was wondering if each of these different names are for the same thing, or two completly different elements? Thanks, and examples or pictures might be helpful! 23. ^^ I've been to Cedar Point and Dollywood, and although they both have a new coaster for 2007, I'm really searching for more credits. I'm sure I will visit them in years to come, but not two consecutive years. The parks that I've listed I have not visited, and all seem to have a good quantity of credits, except BGE with only 5 quality coasters, which is good too. Thanks for the tip though! To stay on topic, Griffon Looks amazing!
  24. With school starting, I just haven't really been on this site for awhile. Let's just say alot has happened in just over a week (more supports up, track up, and 60 pages of posts to catch up on)!
  25. First off, I don't see why everyone is comparing Griffon to how much better or worse it is to Sheikra. They are to different coasters which both look amazing. Let's all just be happy BGE is getting Griffon, and not be dissapointed if it doesn't live up to your expectations. Let's ride it first before deciding which one will be better. Secondly, my family usually goes on one big trip each year, and for next season I was debating on either going: North to Geagua Lake and/or Kenneywood East to Busch Gardens Europe and/or PKD or South to Six Flags Over Georgia I had been leaning towards SFOG for Goliath, but now I just might have changed my mind. Griffon looks awesome! I have never been on a dive coaster or a floorless one and this thing rocks. Also, it won't be very far out of our way to Virginia Tech.
