  1. Thanks for the comments! That's good to hear that they all should be up and running. I should have a photo trip report late next week!
  2. I'm going to Cedar Point next week for the first time in years. I was wondering if I should expect any rides to have major down-time (like Deja Vu at Six Flags Parks) where I wouldn't be able to ride them on my visit. And for anyone who has been there in the past week or so, have all the coasters been up and running. Thanks!
  3. I ate over 1000 calories at McDonalds today, horray! I leave for Cedar Point on Sunday, yeppie!
  4. The handsdown roughest coaster that I've been on is SON OF BEAST. On those helixes, it seriously felt like I was going to be knocked out for weeks. I also dislike SLC like T2 at SFKK and most Arrow corkscrewers.

  14. I LOVE DEJA VU! It's my 4th favorite coaster I have ever been on ever! However, I've been to SFGAm like 5 times and it's only been open once. Too much down time.
  15. I would have to say all S&S Towers, especially the Power Tower at CP. I'm not a huge fan of Intamin drop rides (at least the one at SFKK since I was stuck at the top for 15 minutes once). I am going to Cedar Point again this July and I am excited to ride Maxair and Skyhawk!
  16. I'm tempted to sell all my Knex sets on ebay for one of those coaster dynamix sets. They look awesome, despite how fast they go on the videos on the website.

    Cedar Point

I went to Cedar Point a few years ago, but this year I am going in July on a Monday and a Tuesday. We are staying at the Lighthouse Point cabins so we will have the early entry to the park I understand. What rides will be open for the early entrance thing, and since I will be entering from the back of the park near Mean Streak (I think), should I go to them first? So basically, what's the best route to take to hit as many rides as possible and avoid the crowds? Thanks!

Son of Beast (PKI) 10. American Eagle (SFGAm) Top 10 Steelies!!! 1. Millennium Force (CP) 2. Raging Bull (SFGAm) 3. Raptor (CP) 4. Deja Vu (SFGAm) 5. Top Thrill Dragster (CP) 6. Magnum XL200 (CP) 7. 19. I've only been to Cedar Point once (two years ago) but I'm going in 2 weeks! Yeah, be sure to hit all the coasters. As for flat rides, the only major ones that you shouldn't pass up are Maxair, Skyhawk, PowerTower, and Demon Drop (since there are very few of these Intamin drop rides left). I don't recall any single rider lines, but you choose where to sit on every coaster that I can recall except Disaster Transport (they just count off so many people and have to hurry to a seat). They just got rid of their fast pass system last year I heard. As to how long to stay, it really depends on when you go during the week. Last time I went was on a Friday and Saturday in July and it was packed. However, we were still able to ride all the coasters at least once, but we had to sacrifice the water park. This year I'm going on Sunday to do the Twilight hours at the water park (after 4pm for only like 15 dollars). Then I HIGHLY suggest getting the Ride and Slide pass for two days at Soak City and Cedar Point (which I will be doing on the weekdays of Monday and Tuesday). It's a great deal for only 65 dollars a person. Last time I went we didn't even do the water park, since it took two full days for the rides with the weekend crowds. That's why this year we are first of going during the week, and doing a night at Soak City and 2 days at the park for only about 80 dollars each, which is amazing. Hope I helped you there!!
  20. Thanks. Guess I should change my coaster count down to 64. (lol I had counted Demon Drop) I'll keep my powered coasters though. Oh yeah, I visited Disney World just a few years ago and didn't even realize there were two different sides.
  21. Thanks for the help! I'm going to CP with my whole family so now I just have to convince them to take a little detour on the way home. I've never been on a floorless coaster and Dominator looks awesome!
  22. Alright, I'm going to Cedar Point this July and I was just on the Cedar Fair website. What's this Geauga Lake place? I have never heard about it and why did they build a park so close to Cedar Point? Well, anyways I want to know if this place is worth stoping at for a day on the way home (I live in Louisville, Ky)? I visited the website and it looked okay. Please help me!
