  1. I don't know, but doesn't it get kinda cold through the winter months sometimes in Florida? Maybe they are looking for guaranteed year round operations.
  2. AC at BGE was definitely one of the better B & M hypers, and Intamin is just plain crazy, which I believe is all related to the train configuration. Same goes for the difference between the Togo vs any other standup. The Togo trains, laugh if you may, deliver the best airtime and better ride as far as I am concerned. Back on topic though I really think TTD is by far the most overrated even compared to MF. After 2 years of hit and miss trips to CP I finally got the chance to ride TTD. When it was over I just shook my head and said DUH! People are waiting outlandishly long times to ride this??? Sure the speed was there, but other than that........ blink, and you missed the ride.
  3. Easy answer, just checked out RCDB and according to them it wound up at Camden Park in West Virginia until it was closed in2004. I would imagine after that it went to the scrap yard......
  4. So you are a theme park person and a friend of yours gets busted and kicked out for line jumping? Shouldn't they know better........ Anyway, nice pics, what there were. Would've liked to see some of Greezed Lightning and Thunder Run, always nice to see different perspectives and views from people of rides.
  5. Got the zipup for my Bday, very warm and comfortable!! Definitely recommend it for anyone in the cold parts of the world.
  6. Agreed, definitely not up to health dept. standards I'm sure!!!! What I've been wondering since seeing 2 of these PTR's so far is why is Griffon the only coaster open. Is it a maintenance, end of season rehab type issue or does the weather have something to do with it. I remember hearing where Hershey couldn't run some of theirs during STITP because of the cold, but I have seen PTR's of Japan on here where Robb and Elissa were shoveling snow from the que to get to the rides?? I went to the first year of KP's fright Nights and seems like they had the same kind of issues, not many rides and a little hit and miss type stuff that seems to have worked itself out over the years. Hopefully BGE can do the same with this and make a go of it, just another reason to get parks in these parts of the country open more than just summer!!!
  7. Just out of curiosity, if Kennywood hasn't really released any info on the new ride yet, should Premier have been allowed to put those pics of the coaster train with the Kennywood name on them in their brochure? I think they look pretty cool though, and the schematic layout looks a lot better than the concept art seen so far.
  8. We all know Cedar Fair's rain policy - sprinkle = shutdown, but do they have a fog policy. That would be way too cool to ride in a dense fog like that!!
  9. I always loved the simplicity of this, thanx TPR Park Index for this pic simple sign, fun ride
  10. I scored 2317 pretty much guessing since I know little about the place. Might've been easier had the proper spelling and grammar been used.
  11. That pic gives a real good perspective of just how high it will be, look how it towers over the Rebel Yell and Anaconda!! Spring can't get here soon enough.....
  12. I know this will be said many times, but those pix are amazing!! Definitely love the close-up clarity. Did you get any of Tony? Really is sad to see DD go, it has dominated that front skyline for so many years....
  13. IMO, SR carries more speed and force over the top hat, whereas TTD just kinda meanders over at a slower rate of speed. Plus what follows on SR just totally blows TTD away.......
  14. 17/20 Almost nerd worthy LOL.....
  15. Phineas & Ferb rock! "Gitchy, gitchy, goo" is like... A classic. I have 2 small children who love this show!!! I find myself addicted to it!!! I watched the whole marathon last weekend..... CURSE YOU PERRY THE PLATYPUS!! Also I love SVU and Hannah Montana...
  16. TBPH I prefer these models over the newer ones, and there really aren't many of the older models left. It will be nice to actually see something preserved even if it means moving it halfway across the country.....
  17. My wife and I closed out our season celebrating our 5th anniversary with a night ride on Grizzly at KD!!! Still awesome after all these years!!
  18. I remember when Roar was first built, it really flew through the course rather well. The no tunnel/tunnel part was one of my favorite parts of the ride, but the last time I was there and rode it, it damn near tore me apart! I think it is actually worse than Hurler at KD if that is possible!
  19. That Intamin invert looks pretty cool, why don't you find any full circuit rides like these in the US, with the exception of Volcano?
  20. Definitely the best descriptive comment I have ever seen or heard LMAO!! Best-Magnum's bunny run back from the turnaround kicks butt! Worst - Have to agree with the dumbness that is Volcano.
  21. Well nerd boy, that makes 2 of us LMAO
  22. 35 till Halloween, and I would imagine the first ride was either Scooby or Galxay at KD when I would've been @ 5 - 6 years old. My first big memory was my dad dragging me on Nessie at BGtOC and swearing from that point I would never ride another coaster again! I was shaking and scared and all I could remember was "falling" out of my seat on the first drop. I guess that was my first airtime moment and I did not like it!!!! That would've been around 7 years old I believe.
  23. I felt it was somewhat like a train wreck, you really shouldn't watch, but you have to finish it to see what happens. I spent the summer of 93 at CP, and pretty much had a blast. Fresh out of high school and met some really cool people that I would never have met staying at home. Relating to some of the things that happened in the movie was pretty obvious, and it brought back some good memories. I seem to want to believe that they were shooting for some sort of rehash of the late 80's teen flicks like Breakfast Club and whatnot. Trying to bring back that feel and look that deep down you know you all still want to be like!!!
  24. DONE, wow that felt good in a strange kinda way LMAO!!!!
  25. Wow, they move fast. None of that stuff was there Sunday when we were there!!
