Yeah, I remember those slides at OC, they used to have a lifeguard with a stack of inner tubes in the pool to keep people from hitting the wall!!!! Thanx for the info on the tall slide, that looks totally friggin insane.

So why is it loopy rides such as this and the FOF's can get away with only lap bars while unloopy (LOL) rides require full on OTSR's? Can't wait to get up there in a few weeks and try this one out. BTW, what is with the nut crushers on the front edge of the seat?

Wow, just when you think you've seen just about about as many incredibly stupid people in the world as you can...along comes more of them! The thing that impresses me the most is that these people (what, like 1- 2 hundred of them) think that KD is gonna bow down to their "demands". I think KD is more likely to try and please the few million that will more than likely pass through those turnstiles instead! Maybe they really need to start a cult like Robb said about a few pages back and go jump off a cliff nekked or something!

From the original artist renderings I was skeptical of the turn at the bottom of the first drop. Hurler and Hercules albeit wooden coasters featured this concept. That was pretty brutal on the body even as short as the drops were on those rides. I didn't really think 90+ mph was gonna be any better. If this helps the GP, which I am sure somewhere along the lines were complaining about the forces and whatnot, then I guess it needs done. C'est la vie......

It is big enough to draw attention, but not big enough to look gawdy along the road. It really doesn't detract from the "atmosphere" looking in from the outside. Such a nice fit and looking forward to getting up there as soon as it opens and gets the bugs worked out.......

I would tend to think if they were going to do any work, the ride would be shut down, work finished all the way through, and then tested and reopened. Why would they add pieces here and there at a random pace?

Not to sound too stupid, but does it make a difference if the object in question is on the left side of the track instead of the right side like the original piece?

A queue question on FOF for anyone who has ridden it this year. Last year on Labor Day weekend the inside of the building was apparently ready for Halloween. There was only one direct line from outside to the actual loading platform. Is it still the same inside or have the opened up all the switchbacks again. This could explain why there is always a line outside the building.....

This sounds quite odd since it has ran through the "forest" just fine since 1982.

Didn't CP do the same thing with MF when it first opened. I remember the first season or so they kept switching trains off and on all day.

Who needs pics, it's all about the "coopuns" anyway! Just got ours Friday as well, it really did shrink. Wish more parks did this kind of stuff though. It really helps when you have kids and they want souvenirs, to play games, and eat yadda yadda yadda...
