  1. This Russian - Latvia game is crazy. Especially when you have Ovechkin, Federov, Malkin, and Gonchar all on the same team.
  2. I've never posted in this topic before, but I rediscovered Bush and I've been listening to the song, Mouth.
  3. ^ I really liked the video and the design was pretty on with what we know, but I'm wondering why you didn't used the X Car configuration instead? According to the info we got it's supposed to be: 2 trains, 2 cars/train, 12 riders/train. That sounds like the X Car to me. Other than the cars it's a great recreation, good job.
  4. I have an analogy for the Pirates. It's like Nascar because all the fans go to sit, eat, and get drunk while their team runs around in circles. On a serious note, I just wish the owner of the Pirates would just leave. He got several offers for the Pirates this off-season; one of which came from Mario Lemieux from the Penguins. I think it would have been epic for the Pirates if he bought them because he's a supportive figure in Pittsburgh and while he might not know too much about baseball, he knows how to run a team. Sell the Pirates to Mario please, haha...
  5. You know I'm content about a lot of things; as you guys have learned my love life is one of them, but I don't quite understand the forums because it seems like we're not allowed to express our feelings. I know it's no secret because I've been here since almost the beginning and look at my post count. Not that I care about how many posts I have, but I had to hold back a lot of the things that I've wanted to say in fear of what might happen. I thrive on sympathy and I won't do or say anything that might make someone feel uncomfortable because I don't want people to treat me like that either. Hypothetically speaking, let's say I see a post on here and the person is feeling miserable about breaking up. I don't question the tactics or attitude on the subject. I honor the poster because he/she is human and that's normal. I know everyone here thinks that they're Dr. Phil (I'm definitely not), but can't we just be supportive? Isn't the point of having the forums was to make friends and help each other out? I appreciate the effort and I never attended on dragging anyone down with me, but I was just being honest about how I was feeling. I guess I'll keep those feelings bottled up from now on. Although, I don't understand about the attitude adjustment you're speaking of. I never did say I "needed" a girlfriend. I just didn't like being alone on a romantic holiday...
  6. You're like the tenth person to tell me this. I know people my age that are married brother. Also, I really don't know who you are so I have to suspect that you're only assuming that I live an ordinary life. This is all besides the point anyway. So what if I've been going to bed alone my entire life and what difference should it mean if I continue to do or not do so? I also haven't been in my own house or my career yet. Does that mean that I should just continue to live off my parents? I was referring to just love. I usually don't bring in my personal life into anything that I talk about, but I meant that I don't pretend I'm happy for the sake of being happy. I rather be truthful if you know what I mean. As for the rest of your post; haha, well I've said this exact same thing five or so pages back on this topic and to be honest you're preaching to the wrong person. Also, I am not just looking for any girl to be with. Trust me if I was this way I would be with someone right now, but I'm not because I really do care about this sort of thing. It seems impossible to find the qualities that I want in a girl like mutual attraction and respect. Anyway, I feel fine because I like the way I look at love and life. By the way, I'm sorry if you had a bad relationship in the past, but I'm still pulling for myself to find the right girl.
  7. You guys got me on a bad day, but I don't pretend everything is alright when I know it isn't. Sure, I keep myself busy plenty, but you know it's hard not to think about it when you go to bed alone at night. I've never technically had a girlfriend, but to me love is something that's precious, so why would I not want that? If I were to think of it in any other way then I think I would loose self respect. I appreciate the input guys, but this is just the way I am.
  8. ^^^ Well perhaps if you guys read the other part I wrote you would understand. I mean what the hell is wrong with feeling a little bad about being alone. If you struck out as much as I have then maybe you'd understand. I know about being single and how I'm suppose to be enjoying it, but it's not for me peeps.
  9. I think I'm going to start calling Waldameer; Wallyworld! At first I was skeptical, but it makes a little more sense now. I'm not threatened by the raised prices either because it's not too bad when compared to other parks. Even Kennywood's fully priced all day passes are approaching the $40 mark (most people don't ever pay full price though). It will be interesting to see how this works out for them.
  10. I've only been keeping track of women's hockey because the goalie is from my college.
  11. A single person on valentines day can't help but feel a little depressed. I recently met a girl who I thought was real nice and I asked her if she wanted to get a beer sometime. She said yes and we exchanged numbers. I called her last night and asked her out, but she said that she was at penn state visiting her boyfriend. I guess she was too nice?
  12. It looks to be a cross between Boulder Dash and Thunderhead. I really don't know too many extreme terrain parks that are out there other than Kenywood, Lake Compounce, BGE, SDC, Dollywood and King's Island. Maybe if someone would go through the trouble of investingating the topography maps of these parks and compare them to the model. Watch it be a park in another country...
  13. Don't places with go kart tracks, mini golf courses, and batting cages use this same system? It's been awhile since I've been to one, but I think I remember at Fun For All in Cranberry, Pa having something similar. I thought it was annoying because you would put $20 on a card and the go karts would be like $12, batting cages were $8, and you used the card to pay for everything varying from the food, vending machines, arcade games, etc. I have mixed feelings about it. I mean what's wrong with doing it the old fashion way? Are they worried about employees skimming...
  14. ^ Maybe the guys who were working on the Phantom are the same guys putting the Sky Rocket up? Also, maybe they wanted to make sure at least the Phantom will be open when the park opens and not have a situation where both the Sky Rocket and the Phantom are closed. I'm just guessing, but that seems to be the most logical explanation. I'm excited to ride the Sky Rocket, that's for sure.
  15. I turned 23 47 minutes ago.
  16. ^ You look like Jasmine. As a kid she was my favorite Disney princess, also the hottest in my opinion, lol...
  17. The US has been lying to us for years now!!!! Seriously. It's all a money issue. It costs money to keep the rides maintained longer, and costs money to have the staff around. Most parks know that most Americans won't go to theme parks when it's cold, rainy, bad weather, etc. so they close. It's lame. I'm sure Kennywood would operate in 10 degree weatber with a foot of snow on the ground. I knew what you meant. Some parks in the U.S. never see snow and close down anyway for the winter months. All for the reasons you listed, but some parks like those above the mason dixon line don't have a choice. Can you say frostbite?
  18. ^^^ I'm just thinking about other launch rides that I've ridden during the opening year. Storm Runner at Hershey for example had lots of down time. I'm not saying or wanting this ride to have problems, but I won't be surprised if it does.
  19. ^^ Um yeah, I did "type" that post with a straight face. I don't think I need to elaborate on what I said either...
  20. I think the construction of the ride itself is going to be the least of our worries because I think this will get built very fast. The testing of it will probably take a good while before they get it operational. I just hope it opens with two train operation.
  21. ^^^ I used to be an umpire for Little League and I would have my job threatened all the time. I only got paid $20 a game...
  22. ^ Well actually they've definitely considered removing the Log Jammer because it has been losing water for some time now.
  23. ^^ I just said that I wouldn't be worried to see Kennywood expand, but everyone seems so afraid of Kennywood making changes. About the highway too, never say never...
  24. ^ I think Sandcastle is a poor comparison because it's small, it's the only water park in the area (unless you want to drive all the way out to Idlewild) and it's just popular. Now I've actually never been to Sandcastle because when I've meant to go it thunder stormed. I still don't see it as a horrible thing. I hate saying this, but look at Conneaut Lake Park. They've been static since 1996 I believe and look how the park is now. I know the park couldn't update because they had enough problems keeping the park open, but still it's fundamentals of business. All I know is that I won't be pouting when Kennywood finally doubles the size of the park when the new effing highway gets built.
