Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
Dailey Enterprizes replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^ I can see the first cliff hanger element staying, but that second one.... I don't want the second one to go in because at that point in the ride I would want to keep going and not stop for some element that had already happened. -
Well it happened again to me today on my laptop. It was the fifth time... I swear I want to beat my laptop with a baseball bat. It seems to happen when I go onto Facebook. Oh well, time to run the malwarbytes program again.

RCT4?
Dailey Enterprizes replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ You'll want RCT4 because only so much can be done with that graphics engine. A game can always improve. Do you think people would have said the same thing about GTA3 if they knew about GTA4? Also the game-play sucks in RCT3 and it gets boring fast as a result. I am sure if the RCT4 project was given to the right people then we'd get a game that is visually attractive and fun to play. -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread

I don't know what it is, but seeing that track makes me really want Kennywood to have a Schwarzkopf. I guess I am thinking about the Laser Loop from the 80s... -
I've had this virus on my laptop which runs Windows XP and I found the MalwareBytes programs works like a charm. The virus that I got was a little more elaborate than the one in this topic. In addition to all the fake antivirus pop ups it changed my desktop background to some obnoxious color with the text "Your computer is infected with spyware!" I feel bad for the souls who might actually purchase this phony software.

I don't really care about this sort of thing because anyone can sue anyone and who really knows the real story, right? I don't wish Lady Gaga to have to pay the $30 million, but I also don't wish for the ex-douche to lose out of money that was supposed to be paid to him. Hopefully what's right will be done for both parties (assuming the truth us being told here). Speaking of being sued does anyone know what happened to the case about Coldplay being sued due to Viva la Vida violating copyright law or something like that?

There were some slim pickings at the kiosk today here at RMU in Pittsburgh and I got a Turkey Club which is; of course, not an actual club sandwich. It was a hoagie bun with lettuce, tomato, turkey, and what appeared to be uncooked bacon. It tasted like bacon, but it looked uncooked. Anyway, since I was starving I ate it all anyway and now I am going to regret eating it real soon...

Let's say that I am more afraid of going to the dentist than going on a 300ft coaster. I think going up in the space shuttle would be less scarier...

Hey guys, my sister's boyfriend (TC) has a company called Majestic Productions. He has a website: http://maj-pro.com He graduated from Full Sail about a year ago with a Bachelor's Degree in Sound Engineering and he's trying to get work with whoever he can. He mainly works with Rap Artists, but he also does his own music. If you go onto the website and under Portfolio he has some songs that he has done. They are incredible if you want my opinion and he even has live recording sessions every now and again. I just thought I would try to get his name out there to anyone who's interested.

I am one of those people who falls into the "don't change anything" category because baseball should be about baseball and nothing else. What I mean is that I never really believed in the DH, but I don't complain about it too much because I live in a National League city. Also, the somewhat new replay system slows the game down in my opinion, but the MLB organization is going to do what it's going to do. The only change I would ever consider them doing is having the post-season games played during a reasonable time, so we actually have a chance to watch them. There's no need to complicate an already complicated sport. -
I'll be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day tomorrow, sorry...

^ It was that on steroids at my highschool because it was becoming that dramatic in the sixth grade. I had a few friends entering the sixth grade and they soon split apart from me and their other friends. Then highschool ended up being like college because about half the class was already pursuing their careers (via tech school & advance classes) and the rest of us were waiting to graduate. Life after highschool got serious for us around the 11th grade (it was 9th grade for me) and the whole drama scene was a thing of the past. Like I would seriously be sitting across the lunch table from a guy that I would literally be fighting with in middle school, but since we both matured so much that we just didn't care any more. At least that's how it was at my highschool. I graduated in a class of 600+ kids.

Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
Dailey Enterprizes replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The only ride that I felt unsafe on was the Flying Carpet when it was still at Kennywood. Even though I knew Kennywood took great care of its rides, there was just something off with it and my first ride ended up being my only ride. I also refuse to go on any portable carnival rides too. The Crawford County Fair had a decent colleciton the time I went, but they seemed unsafe. I went on the Ferris Wheel and totally regretted it 30 seconds later... -
It's always good to see an amusement park take care of its existing coasters and upgrade them from time to time. However, I am not understanding all this PTC bashing because I rode Hershey's Wildcat with the PTCs and it seemed fine to me. Given the MFs can navigate the track easier it is still basically the same coaster. Nobody seems to complain about the PTCs on the GGs and older CCIs. I guess its a GCII thing...

Robb is probably right about the Colossus not being that much better with the old profile. Kennywood's Racer used to have a small midcourse dip, but that was until they wanted the possibility of running 2 sets of trains at the same time and decided to make it straight instead. That small dip was probably nothing special, so who cares I guess.

^ It's been awhile since I've used No Limits, but my guess would be because it's a lifthill section. That catwalk middle piece will be there unless you change the segment to something else. For the purpose of your coaster a transport section would work, but I know that would look weird while riding. Goodluck to you...

Here's a good picture that I found. I'm on the left, but the real reason I liked the picture is because of my older sister and brother. I love my siblings. Melissa is living in Orlando, FL right now, but I think she's looking into moving to Tennessee. My brother Jonathan is in bootcamp in South Carolina right now for the Army.

^ Well it could have been Shania Twain instead. Actually, I think I would prefer her over Nickleback, lol...

Why do you want to boo Crosby? Sounds kind of childish and besides you wouldn't be any better than the Flyer fans who boo him.

Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
Dailey Enterprizes replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was just thinking Kennywood was probably aware of the problems before the public even said anything. It's one of those problems that's big enough to notice, but not big enough for an emergency fix, so I'm sure they were planning on fixing it from the getgo. I'm sure they listened to the guests' complaints too, but for justification. -

^ That blue arm thing you mentioned is part of the cement truck. It's like a big hose that can poor cement far away from the truck and do it precisely. That's a handy piece of machinery to have when you're pouring footers. Some of the snow is finally starting to go away, but who knows if we'll get hit with another storm or not.
