Jordan Shankman
Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Six Flags Over Georgia (SFOG), this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page. Official Park Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. It is being discussed on many different forums right now, and some pictures have been taken of footer markings and survey flags. http://sfog.playride.com/2006/ Also, The Great Gasp and The Looping Starship will be removed to make room for the new coaster. SharkTums
Great, they're taking out 2 Intamin rides to put in a B&M Hyper... Oh well, I just hope it's better than the rest of the B&M Hypers. CoasterCrazy
This is great news, I have been waiting for SFOG to get a Hyper for a long time.
Homer
Removing Great Gasp!? A travesty I must say... -Carl "Better move it somewhere else in the park..." F.
Sir Clinksalot
SFOG has a looping starship? How did I not see this when we were there?
Jordan Shankman
It's like, under some bushes in the middle of the park... Seriously though, it's right next to the Great Gasp.
Homer
^Probably because it was down, in true Six Flags fashion .
coaster1
INTAMIN Parachutes rides are now even less if this is true. Not sure why they would remove it since it's a ladnmark, one of the first rides you see coming in from Downtown area. Oh well, hopefully it's a nice layout and decent .. with the most recent B&M's has me a bit concerend.
CoasterEricHP
Looks sort of like a Rocket Coaster. If the footers are right.. but either way... there def needs to be a true Hyper SOMEWHERE in the Southeast! Now all I need is for Hershey to get one for next year too.. Hmmmm.. Chris Benvenuto
Damnit.......Where's that said Hyper MIA was supposed to get????? well, with riding Raging Bull, I would say Georgians are lucky, but it always sucks to lose old and great rides. I mean Great OLD school rides. I wish CP had a Looping Starship. really i do. Chris
Sir Clinksalot
Are B&M hypers really that bad? All I've ridden in the hyper category is Apollo's Chariot, which I friggin' loved. Hell, most of my fave coasters are B&Ms. What's lacking in the B&M hyper department that I'm missing?
vertgforces
^ i'm totally with you...apollo's chariot and nitro kick teenage mutant ninja turtle ass!
jarmor
Wouldnt ya think they would try to get their current coasters up and running before running to build another...Damn forgot this was six flags, carry on.... BTW is deja vu running these days??
Sir Clinksalot
^^Deja Vu was up, running, and totally badass three weeks ago. But, the wind may have blown since then, so who can tell.
coasterdude5
Maybe they'll just move the Great Gasp somewhere else in the park. That'd be just dumb to remove a ride that unique. I'll be there in July- I'll look around and check it out.

CoasterCrazy
I have been looking at the layout of the new coaster and I’m starting to wonder why do the dots show some of the coaster being out side of the park? I don't think it makes any sense to have part of the coaster out side of the park. I also hope that it's an Intamin hyper not a B&M hyper.
Homey G.
^ It won't be Intamin.
Twister II
Its not a acclerator, unless they figure out a way to curve the lauch. To me it look like an inverted coaster.
Homey G.
^ They already have a damned fine one of those.
Twister II
Yea, Mt. Olympus Theme Park already has a wooden coaster Also, maybe even a Storm Runner type.
DejaVu The Ride
I'd laugh if this doesn't end up being a hyper coaster. Even a B&M coaster. How is this 95% confirmed, are these sources that credible or are we all very wishful thinkers? I'd love to see exactly how much Six Flags plans on spending in 2006. Cause with all of what I have been hearing, 2006 will be their "coaster year".(Though a couple of tornados will touch land)
Homey G.
^^ As much as I loved to see it, you can REALLY put the idea of an Intamin at oG to bed now.
