New owner for German amusement park BelantisThe German amusement park Belantis has a new owner. The attraction in East Germany is taken over by Parques Reunidos, known from Slagharen, Bobbejaanland and Movie Park Germany.
In January there were already talks about a takeover by the Spanish chain Parques Reunidos. The deal is now complete. Belantis director Erwin Linnenbach has announced that he will leave the park.
For the time being, the management of the park consists of four people. One of them is Thorsten Backhaus, the director of Movie Park Germany. He will combine both functions.
Belantis, opened in 2003, attracts around 600,000 visitors a year. There are four roller coasters. Parques Reunidos is the owner of over sixty amusement parks, water parks and animal parks in fourteen different countries. The head office is in Madrid.Source
