Keep in mind this is not the first time they've "closed" this ride. I guess if we see the attraction actually being torn out, then it's gone for good. But this is at least the second, maybe third time it's been closed!

Oh ok. I was picturing them not even being allowed to stand on the boat.

I hate to be this guy but...

Blue Fall closed on March 31st. I'm not sure whether to consider this for good or just temporarily, but it is listed as "business closed." http://www.seaparadise.co.jp/28474/index.html

EDIT - It's also off the list of attractions so, unfortunately, it might be for good.
Slowly getting back into being an enthusiast.

^ I loved Blue Fall. And in 2013 (TPR Japan Tour),
I got David to ride it with me... and he loved it, too!

Hope it's not closing for good.

And, of the three years I visited Sea Paradise (w/TPR in
2007 '11 '13), I believe the SplashChute only operated in 2007.

It was confirmed closed a while ago. The park had a lot of bad press last year from a red panda dying in the new exhibit, the whale shark dying and Surf Coaster having a collision in the station in August 2019. I had assumed Surf Coaster would get the axesince even small collisions are a big deal in Japan but on February 20th Sea Paradise put out a statement about it reopening: http://www.seaparadise.co.jp/file/202002surfcoaster.pdf

Yeah I didn't realize that we didn't confirm this on the forum but I had been following the Blue Fall and Surf Coaster issues for a while now. Blue Fall is totally done for and by some miracle Surf Coaster isn't!!! Japan is a weird country in many ways and this is just one of them.

Is Blue Fall the only Intamin tower with that fake drop thing?
