coasterchi Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 I'm loving the layout! It looks like its got some awesome headchoppers and hopefully some good airtime on some of those hills. Can't wait for more updates! Headchoppers? Where? Greetings
Tanks4me05 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 That... looks... awesome!!! It looks kind of like it harkens back to the old days of Wildcat if you ask me, but who's to say I don't like Wildcat? Sigh, if only another GCII were to be made on the east coast US...
coasterchi Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 More wood has gone up today! Sorry for the badass pictures, but it was almost dark when i arrived: The place where soon you can find a loooooooooot of concrete! And all of that in 3d: Greetings!
Ombert Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hi, Here are some pictures of Troy: Caroline Maessen (Toverland) and Clair Hain (GCI) You can find this pictures and more on our website coaster-facts.de It´s only German, but i´am sure you will find the pictures Enjoy your "trip" Julian
thomas2 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I love the erection of wooden coasters. They're so damn sexy Anywhoo keep us updated please. This coaster is very interesting
crazyrider06 Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Awesome pictures so far, can’t wait to see more of them
hyyyper Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 ^Just ask... Turn no.2, according to the layout, is growing and growing
VsEuro Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 And turn number 3 is going up . ALtough it's not yet really visible in the dark webcam picture. Here's the webcam of Troy: http://www.troytoverland.nl/nl/webcam.php A bigger picture of the webcam today. Here you can see them building the first part of turn 3.
krouvi Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Great pictures ! This is going to be an impressive coaster that will turn this park into a must visit. Thank you.
Satoshi Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 thanks for update! it looks like gonna be a twisty thing and it's also going to be really fun like Rumbler is!
KrakenKing Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 That looks like an awesome ride! On a side note... Yay! He said Maybe to Gwazi getting MF trains! Yum!
bgwfreak Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Looks like the Netherlands are getting a great coaster. I love the 3 GCIIs I've been on and 2 of them are in my top 10 wood list. So congrats guys, you'll love it!
Jayjay719 Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 Thanks for the pics! This is looking great, I can't wait to see the finished product.
bgwfreak Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 This will probably sound really stupid, but it amazes me how they build coasters out of sequence like this and then it all somehow fits together in the end. It's kind of like when they build a bridge and start from both ends and then meet in the middle and it fits!
RCfanatic Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 ^ Explenation: lots of nerd making lots of calculations lol. Seriously now, i think its just calculating where what has to be to be albe to fit, wich is still kind of amazing becouse one miscalculation could screw up the entire project.
Wishmaster Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 ^^ I actually hope the point where they meet up doesn't fit. On Tonnerre de Zeus that's my favorite part.
turbolaaf Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 GCI already told us that it will be a smooth ride so don't expect any TDZ parts on this ride. Even the breaks will be magnetic so the ride will be a pleasure to ride in for the whole family. I;m looking forward to my GCI wich i will be doing @ beech bend on my upcomming trip before this things opens.
owen Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 "There are 2 more potential cliënts in Europe" Flamingo Land and Alton Towers? http://www.owen-john-landscapes.co.uk/
turbolaaf Posted February 10, 2007 Author Posted February 10, 2007 "There are 2 more potential cliënts in Europe" Flamingo Land and Alton Towers? http://www.owen-john-landscapes.co.uk/ One major rumor would be tripsdrill. The other one could be one in the uk but where ???
coastermaniac1 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 There are 2 more potential cliënts in Europe" Flamingo Land and Alton Towers? I hope Alton Towers go for an Intamin woodie and not a GCI. But I do hope Flamingoland go for the GCI woodie. One major rumor would be tripsdrill I noticed a while back that RCDB had listed a GCI woodie for Tripsdrill in 2008 but now it is not there.
Guest Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Those are great looking construction photos! Have you ever noticed in some photos all the aerial aerosol spraying thats being done across the sky? These photos inadvertently have captured planes leaving behind all those trails and how the atmosphere changes right before your eyes.

You get used to it
coasterchi Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Damn, there building fast as hell now! The 3rd turn is already up and the track towards the turn is also rising up. I'm curious how fast they will build in the next week! Good, photo's! I think this is going to be the little house for the lift-engine: And that it would be relocated to this spot: Greetings from the Netherlands!
