Nrthwnd Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 This looks like a definite "must visit" for the future TPR Mainland Euro-Tour, hmmm? And the awesome little indoor park itself, heh heh.
hyyyper Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Update 16 February 2007 Today (and yesterday) the camelback has gone up, and so is the lift because they are running parallel. Also a little building for the chain motor has been put up. The pictures: (only 4, if you would like a specific pic from a specific angles, pm me) Skyline Shot ! Last helix has received ties, and other neat stuff .... is sharing it's supports with the lift hill The big straight (???) airtime hill ....
RCfanatic Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Thanks for the pics! I cant wait to ride my first GCI this summer, and this one looks pretty good!
christianscoasters Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Woah! Totally diggin' the skyline shots! The ride looks massive. Is it really that big compared to other GCI's?
CP_RULES Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Wow, its really starting to come together now!
larrygator Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Congratulations to our members from The Netherlands. These guys show why it is important for the rest of us to use proper grammar and spelling. A simple missing comma changes the whole meaning of a sentence, making it difficult for those who's native language is not English.
Wishmaster Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Is it really that big compared to other GCI's? It is the highest and second longest GCI so far, but it's only a few feet bigger than most and it's still average compared to wooden coasters from other builders. But as most enthusiasts know, the size doesn't say very much about how good/bad the ride really is.
coasterchi Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Pictures of saturday the 17th with... the lifthill in progress! Clearance? What's that, the following picuture shows how little it's going to be! The big footer for the highest turnaround View from the bottom of the lifthill All pictures can be found @ toverland.info
Hjalmar Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 I can't wait to ride this one, Finally we have GCI in the Netherlands...
W1ckeD Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Hi,it was great to see the coaster in real life,i just can't wait. Here are some pictures from 22FEB. And a bonus Pic. And the Bonus picture.
christianscoasters Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Wait till the ride is done. The "bonus picture" will be awesome! Like I said earlier, totally diggin' the skyline shots over here!
coasterchi Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Looks like the last part of the track is also changed, the brakerun seems to be here know!
verticalzero Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 WOW, the construction shots are getting more sexy every day. I hope Toverland and GCI have changed the layout and not told anyone, that would be a great surprise to have an extra bunny hop or curve. That's my holiday taken care of for this year, I don't know about driving though (I've driven to Walibi World in the Fleoverland area). How many hours from England..? Where is the nearest airport so I can fly/drive n coast those banked corners..? No women on this planet can beat the curves of a GCI Coaster, amazing.
coasterchi Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 The nearest airpot is Eindhoven Airport. To get to Toverland, you have to drive about 40 minutes.
turbolaaf Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Correct easyjet and raynair are flying to Eindhoven. From Eindhoven its very easy to drive to toverland straight on on the freeway in about 40 minutes. A hotel is located next to the exit to Toverland. However there is a motel one exit before Toverland what could be cheaper but i forget the name. Ah well its easy to reach.
