Cjw
Thorpe park have finished putting up their new entrance-made out of (what probably is) Intamin track. New Entrance Pictures

verticalzero
Nice Entrance, good use of spare track. Shows the Park has some taste in Theaming unlike most Parks in the UK.
Shockwave
Tussauds Studios have done a nice job with this. Not too flamboyant, but represents what the park is about quite well. I believe it's only a mock up of the track they've used, not acutal Intamin track.
SharkTums
We saw them building this last week. The track REALLY looks like real Intamin track!!!!
metrock
That looks awesome. But you have to wonder how long it is going to be before a credit whore tries to ride the track. And by the looks of things, they might even count it as more than one coaster.
alpengeist04
I kinda like the new entrance.
pkdcoaster
I thought to myself..."Cars diasabled"??!?!? if it is disabled how is it going to get through...then I got down with the UK lingo and realized it was for handicapped spaces Back on topic..Best parking lot entrance ever! stevewalsh
It looks really authentic, The Studios have done a great job in the end, I don't think it is a bit random though, an arch or something would have looked more sleek!
chavslayer
Yeah an arch probably would be better but its still quite cool.
DarkStitch626
Who knows, maybe they asked Intamin to build some track for them seperately to make it look cool, I mean it even has supports so it very well may actually be the track. Reguardless, it looks awsome
ECZenith
Looks very cool.
DenDen
I love the theming, but it also kinda reminds me of when they built this... Kinda disappointing when you realize it's JUST theming.
Angry_Gumball
I wonder how many have asked "Have you ridden that woodie in Vegas?"
Freefallbestrideever
looks better than that coaster the guy made in his back yard
rabid disney
I wonder how many have asked "Have you ridden that woodie in Vegas?" When i was in vegas in 2000 drunk (surpise there) me and my island friend from new zealand try to ride that woodie the security guard was not impressed, felt like a fool next morning when i realise it was fake. nannerdw
I would be willing to bet all of my money that lots of GP patrons will remember this entrace as a real coaster and tell their friends about how fun it was to ride. They will probably say this: "Have you ridden that ride that's right at the entrance of the park? (referring to the entryway) You sit beneath the track and go over 200 feet in the air backwards through like 10 loops all inside a building! And part of it goes over the parking lot entrance!" I used to think Opryland's skycoaster was one of Hangman's loops (when I was about 5)
Nrthwnd
What are the bets of a UK Tour Group Photo under this little archway? Not possible? Hmmm. Or one of those shots, showing the bus going under & thru it, heh heh. It's really a great idea, and I wish some parks had used the idea earlier, with other types of tracking, making them all rather uniquely arched parking lots, LOL! ( EDIT: For the ? )
Movieguy
Wow, that's a really cool entrance. It makes you wonder why CP didn't come up with the same idea, since they have three high-profile Intamins there.
Nrthwnd
Kinda disappointing when you realize it's JUST theming. Of course, I believe the reverse is true, that several peeps on these boards would wish that Manhattan Express in Vegas, was just themeing only, LOLOL! UberBeavis
Sadly, the Boardwalk casino is being torn down (the construction fences are already around it)
TheGreatOne
Wow, that's a really cool entrance. It makes you wonder why CP didn't come up with the same idea, since they have three high-profile Intamins there. Because CP is sort of a cheap park-outside of spending tons of money for one ride. I was shocked when they added that big "yard sign" a few years back near the causeway and Cleveland Road. I have to say, that's a pretty neat entrance. Even if I wasn't a park nerd, I'd think it's pretty cool.
