JayDarkKnight25 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Hey guys check this out: 2006 - Unknown - (1/9/06) The park has stated than an announced about a new attraction for 2006 will take place in early February.
Homer Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Keep dreamin, if BGW was getting a coaster, there would have been huge rumors flying around the net for at least 6 months. Since I have heard no rumors about BGW, your probably going to get some new broadway style show that would ripoff another broadway show. (See BGT's Katonga! and Lion King for that last sentence)
rollermonkey Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I've got to agree, no one has seen any site markers, ground clearance, or other site preparation. If by some slime chance they were going to put a coaster in this year, it would have to be something "off the shelf," and that's just not the style of any of the Anheiser-Busch parks. Even a decent flat or dark ride would require some time to prepare for installation, so stand by for a parade, show or fireworks announcement.
socalMAN123 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I agree, the chances that they're gonna build new coaster are like the chances that DLR is gonna build a new E-ticket attraction. Probably a parade or show. ---Brent
BrilliantMagic2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Well anything's possbile don't give up on a coaster coming this year,it's not going to be some random attraction!! Or Will it??? That would be strange,it's just that BGW is lacking a coaster from Drachen Fire's loss.
Louise Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Anybody else wondering if JayDarkKnight25 and BrilliantMagic2006 are different personalities of the same mind?!
jarmor Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Nah...this brings light to the old phrase "great minds think alike....especially if they are in the same head!"
CoasterExpert13 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I agree with most of you, I doubt that BGW will get another coaster. If they do recieve a new coaster, I'd be happy. The park is nice and has some nice attractions but lacks a great coaster besides Alpengiest...Maybe a new floorless coasters, that would be great.
Shockwave Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Show me the IP! Show me the IP! At least none of the big rides they've currently got are going anywhere fast.
cfc Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Hmm--I think BGW will "coast" this year with no new major attraction. DarKastle was pretty expensive, but it's a hit.
alpengeist04 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 ^ I agree, with Darkastle and Sheikra(BGT) this past year, I doubt anything big is coming in 2006. I do wish they would redo Roman Rapids. It just doesn't live up to BGW's standards.
bgwfreak Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I talked to a guy that works on a certain ride, but can't say which one. Anyway, he said that the next coaster will be a B&M, but he doesn't know for sure when. He was thinking probably 2007.
jarmor Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I talked to that same guy and he told me the apocalypse was gonna be 15 minutes late tomorrow...
cfc Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I talked to that same guy and he told me the apocalypse was gonna be 15 minutes late tomorrow... Good--I can still squeeze in dinner beforehand.
downunder Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Is there any likelihood that BGW will get a dive machine as well at some stage (not saying 2006 of course) ?
SharkTums Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Busch seems pretty smart... They have a history of seeing how a ride performs before deciding to get a similar ride in another park. (ie why you don't see a wooden coaster at ANY other AB park!) If SheiKra does what they want, I can see a version of it appearing at BGW at some point.
YoshiFan Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 I think their next coaster will be a smaller coaster, something like a family coaster. I'm kind of surprised they got rid of Wild Maus and just didn't relocate it somewhere else in the park because all 4 coasters they have now seem like thrill coasters (maybe not to an enthusisast, but to a regular person, they see it as 2 coasters that have inversions, a giant coaster [Apollo] and Big Bad Wolf appears to be thrilling for a suspended). Although not as bad, the same problem was at BGT 10 years ago. I remember visiting 10 years ago and EVERY coaster they had had inversions (Kumba, Montu, Python, Scorpion) which I think is kind of strange.
SharkTums Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Where is Apollo #4??? Even if Big Bad Wolf is the best suspended in the world (which I wholeheartedly agree with) it still isn't in my top 30! Interlocking loops...eh, not a big deal, it's pretty but doesn't really add anything to the ride. I am in the 'Alpengeist pretty much sucks' camp... As far as 'exclusive contracts'...I don't buy it with B&M, Busch, and Dive Machines. Dive machines aren't even new!
SharkTums Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 http://www.ushsho.com/detailedsteelrollercoasterpollresults2005.htm I would use that as a better guide...and even there I feel that 14 is too high!
cfc Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 ^Sheesh, I haven't been on any in the top ten of this list. Well, Nemesis awaits in June.
socalMAN123 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 What about a terrian flyer That actually sounds like a good idea seeing that most of BGW's coasters are terrain. Brent "mmmm, flyers" Shenton
X Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 A new coaster is just what BGW needs. They haven't had a new coaster since Apollos Chariot. I wouldn't be suprised if they got a B&M. I have also never done anything on that Top 10 list! Kevin"Hopefully I'll do Superman in SFA in a few months "Bujold
