gisco Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Another day is Sunny California, 72 today and haven't seen rain in over 50 days!
Philrad71 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I think we might have hit 13 for a high today, which is the highest it's been in about five days. The wind has been blowing steadily all day today which is probably bringing the wind chill down to about -15 or worse. My outdoor ventures today included walking from my car into work and then walking out of work and back to my car...that's it! Â Supposed to hit 33 on Saturday...woo-hoo! Â No wait, they are calling for a chance of snow and freezing rain on the same day. Boooooo!!!!!!!!
shivtim Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 So, you may have heard there's been a little bit of snow and ice in Atlanta... View from my apartment on Tuesday afternoon Car stalled out on Peachtree Street blocking traffic
Meteornotes Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 It's been stupid cold here for about two weeks. Supposed to be 40 this weekend. HEATWAVE!!! Â dt
Angle O. Descent Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 For those of you living in the southern states who complain about snow, this is what Ontario gets every winter
simaticable Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 That much snow would shut down Atlanta for a month.
azza29 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Current temperature in Melbourne is about 95 degrees. New housemate is coming from Canada next week where it's sitting at 14. He is in for a shock I think...
Angle O. Descent Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 ^ more like -14 Jealous of your Canuck friend tho!
bbomser Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Current temperature in Melbourne is about 95 degrees. New housemate is coming from Canada next week where it's sitting at 14. He is in for a shock I think... Well, the other Melbourne (Florida) was at about 80 degrees earlier this week. Now it's down to low 50's with rain.
boardwalkbullet91507 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Tuesday along with last Friday, schools and businesses were closed due to freezing precipitation and ice. Temps got into the 20s. Current temperature now in Rosenberg, Tx is 39F with a high 63 and tomorrows high will be 73. So, snow, ice, sleet, and short sleeves all in one week. Texas weather is the best!
SuperShawn Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 We are slowly warming up to hit the mid 40's by the weekend. Quite excited since anything below 20 is just too damn cold.
arby Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 It was 17 this morning but is supposed to be in the mid 50s tomorrow and in the mid 60s by Sunday.
gisco Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Finally after two months we finally have some rain!
simaticable Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Just found out that school is cancelled again due to ice. I love it when the state over reacts because of the ice.
Moose Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 It's beautiful sunny day and quite warm (27) compared to what it has been.
lazaruslou Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Today was 25 c and sunny, nice day for a walk on the beach!
cal1br3tto Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 What started yesterday as a light dry snow blowing around in the streets gradually ended up covering us in a thick blanket. It's coming down strong again today; I shoveled the driveway for my parents and less than 2 hours later they don't believe I did it. We don't get snow like this every year so there was the stereotypical "bread, milk and eggs" brigade at the stores and the reports of minimal commutes taking several hours.
SuperShawn Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Another week of hovering in the freezing zone with some scattered snow showers here and there. I love everything about it except that means people will freak out and salt everything again… and I hate dealing with the salt.
arby Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 We've finally been back to our normal winter this week: Lows in the mid 30s, highs in the mid 50s.
arby Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 So much for our normal winter. Over the past 2 days we have gotten 9" of snow, 1/4" freezing rain, and another 1-3" of snow are starting to fall here in the Charlotte, NC area. As you can imagine, a lot of the area is shut down and areas east of us got 1" of freezing rain.
GnastyGnoric7 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 About a foot of snow has been dumped on the Susquehanna Valley.
VegasCoasterGirl Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 It's sunny and about 60 outside today, only getting warmer.
Meteornotes Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Snow, ice, cold. I refuse to go outside. Â dt
Moose Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Raining. How is the south getting more snow than New England? I would MUCH rather we go all snow, as it is the cleanup of the snow we got this morning is going to suck with the pouring rain we are getting now.
Zem Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 There is a high of 63 today and it should be up into the mid 70s tomorrow.
