Bubba Z Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I'm confused was that the NWO or BWO taking over in 2012.
Luxo Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Wow, this has been a very entertaining and off-topic thread, lol. Not only has the off-season started, but it's alive and thriving.
robbalvey Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 So, just because I needed some late night entertainment.....tell me again, what would rides be like.....on the moon?
FlyingScooter Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 If they're gravity rides, they'd be pretty boring. Lauched coasters, on the other hand, would be awesome. No drag. imagine how long a slingshot ride would last...
Robgraves Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 "we're whalers on the moon We're whalers on the moon but there are no whales so we tell tall tales and sing our whaling tune" by the way, count me in on the 2012 club as well.. myan calendar... it all works out. more exciting ways for the wold to end can be found here... http://www.exitmundi.nl/exitmundi.htm
paulosthejackal Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sorry to go 'on topic' but the whole roller 'coaster' thing is all about gravity...... ......................What we need is a Mack powered ride!!!!!!!!!
Robgraves Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sorry to go 'on topic' but the whole roller 'coaster' thing is all about gravity...... ......................What we need is a Mack powered ride!!!!!!!!! constant LIM's... just up and down the track firing you further and faster. considering the lower gravity (which would alter the g-force distribution)and lack of wind resist you could probably get some insane speeds with minimal health risk.. and youcould solve at least the wind in your hair thing (although it would bring back the wind resist) by doing an indoor coaster... with oxygen of course.. it would be like space mountain..., IN SPACE!!!!! although when you think about it...reentry should count as some sort of credit.
larrygator Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I'm confused was that the NWO or BWO taking over in 2012. I believe it is Big Stevie Cool and the BWO
Robgraves Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I'm confused was that the NWO or BWO taking over in 2012. I believe it is Big Stevie Cool and the BWO they gonna have to get through the F.B.I if they wanna do that!

LOL, lets get scientific.... Perhaps when the world ends we could get all the coasters and put them on an big space craft and just see which one works best in low gravity! ...on no wait, i know nothing about science
America Sings Freak Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I would love to see Space Mountain oon the moon since it is Spaced themed and goes along with the atmosphere.
redunzelizer Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 If they're gravity rides, they'd be pretty boring. Not at all, not at all. Let me explain: For a given speed, high positive vertical Gs can be created by almost the same dip radii as on earth. (downward force mainly defined by speed and radius, gravity only adds up a few percent). Negative verticals (aka "ejector") would be available and last for much much longer duration on given hill height. Banking (in *any* spot) would even be steeper than on earth, since the downward force vector is way smaller in comparison to the centripetal force of a given turn. What is so boring about just these ride "enhancements"? redunzelizer
Wes Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 All moon rides would have a pre-show featuring Gary Sinese.
Robgraves Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 All moon rides would have a pre-show featuring Gary Sinese. NNNNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
bigjohnson51 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 roller coaster on the moon... how about a roller coaster connected from the earth to the moon...it'd have to be pretty flexable...
robbalvey Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Would coasters on the moon be made out of cheese?
Luxo Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Ah, it's good to see such a high quality topic has been resurrected.
paulosthejackal Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I would love to see Space Mountain oon the moon since it is Spaced themed and goes along with the atmosphere. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha Thats so funny, all of this is so funny. It makes me so happy and so pleased that we can talk about this. How big do you think the cheese footers would have to be to support say a 4D compared to a floorless. Also I have been troubled by the folowing - would blue cheese be an usafe building material - is hard danish cheese better? So many questions........
Robgraves Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 blue cheese would definitely be a building code violation. I would say some good sharp cheddar would be good for supports, and mozzerella restraints. (though it would need replaced after every time i ride. But yeah, soft cheeses wouldnt be gouda, but thats nothing to wine about...
phazan Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 ^Also dont forget about the dreaded Xanttans. They like cheese...
robbalvey Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 So if you had to choose a current coaster on earth.....to be built out of cheese.....on the moon....which coaster would you build?
Robgraves Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 a park with nothing but boomerangs and SLC's Now that would be cheesy... seriously though... I would put SheiKra on the moon... just to satisfy curiosity.
