That almost looks like a mistake, a challenge NOT to have the support in the water, and an afterthought, ALL in one moment..lol  I enjoy the supports on a suspended coaster (especially the village on BBW @ BGE). The reason for this is that even when the BAT was built, it was pretty original for its time and a classic, all-in-one.
