We've all posted on threads about coasters that are overated, and underated, and that we don't get. Well what about coasters that we DO get. I mean rides that arn't really ranked highly or praised by enthusits, but rides that you really like and enjoy riding. Maybe an old favorite at your home park, or a defunct ride, or an old ride that doesn't rank anymroe that you still love. And let's keep this positive (no Vekoma/Arrow hatin!).

Personally I love the Vortex at Kings Island. I't no B&M floorless, or Intain Rocket Coaster, but is still a lot of fun. It has a great pop of airtime on the first drop, good forces in the inversions, and a great capacity. There is hardley ever a long line even with a que out the midway. So what if it's a little rough, it still gives me one hell of a ride, is a lot of fun.

Road Runner Express at Fiesta Texas is another. No mine train is gonna rank high, but riding that thing ( and a lot of other mine trains) is jsut flat out fun. Good setting, funny theming, good coaster.

I'm going to say Gemini since it was my first BIG coaster and to this day, I can still ride it over and over and still get a big kick out of it!

The Hersheypark Comet. Everyone always bad-mouthed the ride, but when I rode it, I was really surprised by it. It had alot of airtime, and I didn't know about the dog leg portion of the ride, so I thought that was very cool.

Invertigo @ PGA, maybe the only Vekoma boomerang variation that I enjoy.

1. X -a coaster that people usually either hate or love. I love it

2. Desperado -I LOVE the bumpyness on it, it doesn't hurt (atleast not me) and gives me the "variation" and out-of-control feeling I love.

3. Viper, SFMM -It's not as rough as people say (again atleast not for me), great, fast, big inversions.

4. Déjà Vu -incredible first drop with great floating-air-time, lot's of Gs, pretty smooth.

I'll admit it. I LOVE Anaconda. Everyone hates the arrow multi-loopers, but I love PKD's. I think it's really fun.

I also like the Premier LIM Bowls (FoF, Joker's Jinx) more than most people, I think they're great.

Me too Wes, I had always been under the impression that it was a mediocre coaster yet when we rode we loved it! Same happened for Thunderhawk at Dorney though Ive been told that we hit it on a good day, so meh, I don't know, maybe the same happened with Comet.

I also love the Comet at Hersheypark, while I was waiting in line for it this past summer I didn't think it was going to be any good because of everything I have heard about it. The Comet is easily one of my favorite wooden coasters.

This kid hit this coaster (Thunderhawk) on the best day of the year. If he had been there the day after, he would have been like... what haa haa haa happened? Oh well, at least he liked it on a good day. I enjoyed myself on it too, however, too bad that was the last day that it was like that all year

And, ahhh yes, my first coaster in the Hersheypark Comet. That is a good ride. Slightly mediocre, but still pretty good and nothing like what some people say about it.

That coaster just roks. In the back seat, that coaster delivers alot of airtime, it is alot of fun!!! It is my favorite out of the (I think) 11 woodies I have been on!

I like Great Bear at Hershey, it may have a semi-weak ending, but I think that coaster is original and alot of fun! Not forceless, either!!!

I also sort of enjoyed Hercules at Dorney. I probably caught it on a semi-non-painful day. I mean, it was rough, but I didn't think it was that bad. Years of Psyclone beating the crap out of me made me immune.

I am gona say Wacky Soap Box Racers at Knotts Berry Farm! I miss that ride sooo much!!! It was at its best when in its earlier years when it had those trick doors or gates that opened as soon as ya got close enough thinking you are gona run into it! Also well as when they had the fog machine running inside the first tunnel!! As well as the finale flying through the firework factory with all the fireworks going off!!!

Ahhhhhhh memories!! Even after they closed down most of that stuff I still liked it!!!

I cant really put my finger on it but that ride just had something that I really really liked about it and miss it dearly!!

Any Wacky Soap Box Racers fans out there?? Hola out!!!!!

X-Flight and any other Vekoma flyer- While they don't "fly" as much as the B&M's, I like this ride much better for all the weird, unnatural things it does. Be constantly flipped from flying to lying, especially in the middle of turns, is so disorienting and crazy to me. No disrespect to the SUFs, but after the pretzel loop, the ride is just meh. X-Flight never seems to let up in my opinion.

Damn right homie It wasn't that bad of a ride. That first turn before the lift hill was God and the first drop was great before it was trimmed to death. I like rough coasters though. I'm a freak. I know.

Matterhorn Bobsleds (DL)- The first modern steel roller coaster, about 46 years old, and it can still kick some major ass! However, whenever people talk about the DL rides, they seem to leave this one out!

Ninja (SFMM)- SFMM gets a lot of negativity...probably more than it does deserve. Ninja is a fine example of an amazing roller coaster that lacks recognition, because (1) it is only one in a park with almost "17" roller coasters, and (2) people have made such a game out of badmouthing SFMM, they fail to see the positives, such as Ninja.

Viper (SFMM)- Is really a coaster you have to get used to, but if you ride in the back (ironically a smoother ride than in the front), you will feel some pretty juicy forces that you can only get out of a ride like Viper.

I deffinitely agree. Its a highly underrated ride, but only on its good days. It usually varies, but it has been running great the past two years.

I thought Skull Mountain at Great Adventure was surprisingly fun, the first drop was really good towards the front.

I really like X and I am not afraid to admit it.

I think Medusa at Great Adventure is over rated, nothing special.

I think Silver Bullet at Knott's is a bit under rated, I thought it was a lot of fun, even if it wasn't raptor or montu.
