prozach626 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Ninja at SFSTL. It was my first big coaster and my dad MADE me go on it. Regrettably for him, I made him ride it 5 more times that day.
Ayrton Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 'Looping Star' at Bobbejaanland, Belgium. (Defunct since 2003) RCDB info It was in the mid-90s. Classic Schwarzkopf-awesomeness.
eltoro96 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Just like 500 other people on this thread, Rock n' Roller Coaster at MGM Studios Orlando
Phantom George Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Mine was the King Cobra at Kings Island summer of '89...I was 11.
thrillseaker92 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first was the Son Of Beast at Kings Island... I think it was 2006. I know it was about a month before the big accident that caused the removal of the loop.
TW4ever1978 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Mine was "Turn of the Century"at Marriott's Great America in Gurnee, Illinois. It has been "Demon"since 1980, the park has long been Six Flags Great America, but it was definitely my first coaster with inversions!
TetsuneSonic Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Double Loop Coaster(Meisho,Not Chinese Knock Off) at Hangzhou Paradise
soldier148 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 GASM! at Six Flags Great Adventure R.I.P
Double0Kevin Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Demon at CGA (It had just became PGA at the time). I remember it well, as tears were streaking from my eyes, we hit the first loop and it literally "clicked" and I realized I loved these things and wanted ride more and more.
trj820 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Cailifornia Screamin' at California Adventure
WFChris Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 It was "Great American Revolution" at SFMM...with lap bars
rcdude Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I thought it was Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain, but since Windjammer Surf Racers closed in March of 2000 and my first visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain was in the summer of that year I guess it must have been Windjammer.
Totopez Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first inversion was LisebergsLoopen at Liseberg, Gothenburg, Sweden. Must have been in the summer of 1982, I was 10 years old and got hooked for life. And I wish there were more Looping Stars to ride!
masportster Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Mine was Lightnin' Loops at Six Flags Great Adventure. We had a school trip and the park was empty so my friend and I kept running back on and rode it 17 times. lightloops.bmp
nursethom Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I actually attended the grand opening of the first modern looping coaster, the Corkscrew at Knott's Berry farm. I ended up on the news doing the Charleston while waiting in the four hour line just to ride a 30 second ride. Those were the days. Yes, I'm old.
BJ KoasterKooK Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 ^ Impressive... My first would be ol' Nessie at BGW. In 98' I believe, and my 4th coaster overall, at the time...blew this newbie away.
Robin24 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first one was Magic Mountain @Gardaland. I still love this ride
StarWars Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first roller coaster with an inversion was Sooperdooperlooper at Hershey Park. By all recollection it was also my first ever roller coaster.
Hockeyman55 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first inversion coaster was Montu at Busch Gardens. Not a bad ride to break me into Ill also never forget the date because very sadly it was the same day that Princess Diana passed away
rcjp Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My first coaster with inversions was Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris
bert425 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I actually attended the grand opening of the first modern looping coaster, the Corkscrew at Knott's Berry farm.
